Taking into account his tracking and matchup data he’s a pretty average defender when he gives effort. I have no idea how he’s making all defensive teams with those ratings though.

Knicks are gonna be garbage-mid for the next 5 years. You guys just have no cap space for a star player. Julius Randle at best will get you guys depth as no one wants him unless they are pairing him up for a title run so can't get a star there. No one wants Brunson's contract so he is untradeable. NY only way out is trading RJ and Randle. RJ for a star and Randle for depth. It's the only way I see NY being "good" anytime soon.

G league, unless they fixed it from 22, doesn't really do anything meaningful for progression anymore and is more likely to get your players injured and cause regression
