Dry Ice Cleaning Porsche 928 GTS - Paint Correction & Interior Cleaning

- We had the pleasure of detailing this 1994 Porsche 928 GTS from Silver Arrow Cars. We performed dry ice blasting, paint correction, and a deep wash, inside and out.
Sporting black-on-black leather and a 5-speed manual, this V8 Porsche has only 37,000 miles on the odometer and is one of only 406 examples in this GTS variant.
When we performed dry ice cleaning, the owner wanted us to completely remove the undercoating wax, along with the grease and grime. After, we reapplied new, modern protection wax to the car to protect it on the road for many years to come.
This is a fine example of this beautifully unique classic Porsche, and is currently for sale in Costa Mesa, CA through Silver Arrow Cars for $199,900.

It’s weird how a legendary car that I once owned for more than 10 years just never ages. It had been one of the great privileges of my life to have had a Porsche 928 as my daily chariot. No other car has come anywhere near close to its immortal character. It costs a pretty penny when things go offline but so does everything at some time or other. I only sold my 928 to a rich enthusiast when I lost my job and other deeply unpleasant things happened in my annulis horribilis 2015.

I know everyone loves the 911's but for me, this was THE Porsche! I have loved these since the earlier non GTS model appeared in the movie Risky Business. I lusted for one of those through my 20's! I absolutely love the styling of this incredible machine. And the 5.4 liter front mounted V8 of this model provides effortless power for this Grand Tourer! They had a good run for sure. It's a shame Porsche abandoned this model or the front mounted V8 Grand Tourer. MAYBE they will resurrect it or a successor model at some time in the future. They could bring it back as an electric model similar to what Maserati is doing with the new 2023 Gran Turismo being offered in both supercharged V6 petrol powered model as well as a full electric model in essentially the same exterior body style. I wish I would have had the funds to purchase one of these bad boys new in the dark blue color. There is still plenty of people out here that love this style of Porsche! Excellent job my friends!

Depends, but the wax we use is an application that should last for some time. And sometimes, we're replacing with factory cosmoline, which will be very resilient.
I'm only half way through this video... and what a therapeutic transformation with the dry ice, how many hours was into that? Obviously a well kept example because of how well it came up but this really just brings this even closer to being a perfect example!

This is still a very new service in the automotive world. When we started dry ice cleaning, we were the only ones on the west coast with a machine for this purpose. It's becoming more popular but it's still rather rare at the moment.
Where does the grease and grime go? Is there a pile of sludge on the shop floor later that you have to clean up?

Where does all the gunk go that comes off during the dry ice cleaning process. It looks like it vanishes on video?????🤔 It seems like the dry ice cleaning would be a great way to clean cylinder heads and other parts.
It goes EVERYWHERE lol it ends up on the ground and we sweep it up and dispose of it properly
