Okay, I'll be the paragraph guy for once. So this girl's cat attacked her every night, in his sleep, so he was always unaware that he was actually attacking his owner. So she called an expert to help her. The girl even ended up at the hospital at some point, but didn't give up on him. The cat gets constant nightmares and cries when left alone. That's because he was alone in the streets as a kitten, and would constantly fight against other cats to survive. Until he was taken in and fostered by some lovely people who owned a Cafe, until the girl adopted him. They helped him with aroma therapy and calming music for cats, and the girl spent more time with him to help with his treatment. As far as I'm aware, both of them seem to be okay now. Our cat Gracie would claw my face, not every night, but pretty regularly. What I realized after about a year was there's a connection between my blood sugar going too low during the night and her clawing me. When my BS went down to 28 and Gracie would not stop, the light bulb went off! She's been waking me up when I was in danger. I'm stable now, but she still checks me EVERY morning. If the claws come out I know I need help.

Saw the original video: the cat was the only one of its litter to be abandoned by its mother ( as told by the one who originally found the cat) so after the vet they gave the cat medicine and aroma therapy to help the cat fall asleep and the cat was able to sleep at night without hurting its owner

Well my cat was like that,, best thing to do is, to play before sleep, keep a lamp on and have some Aromatherapy,, and that worked also make sure to make more than one place to her to sleep not just next to you
i remember watching this video. The vet also said to play with the cat and expend its energy a lot and she did. Unfortunately I think she was just a student and lived in that one room. So the cat was mostly cooped up in that room.

I think that there is a possibility this cat has witnessed somebody falling asleep and never waking up. It could be very distraught about it. It may also just be worried because humans sleep a lot deeper than cats do. I’m no vet, of course. This is just an educated guess. I do know that cats get worried sometimes when their owners sleep. They may also want to play :) Don’t take my word for it please!!!

Even with training, some animals just have behavioral issues and need medication. I’ve rescued and rehabilitated cats for years and only a couple behaved this way and it was because of BPD or high anxiety. It’s sad that this is how a lot of animals get euthanized.. Thankful the girl is understanding and actually did take her to the vet and didn’t give up.

She also followed the doctor's advice to provide aromatherapy in her house and play music to make her cat comfortable. They love each other and her cat is also very dependent on the girl.
sometimes it might be because her cat needed a friend. my housemates used to adopt a baby black stray cat who grows up to be a blood hunting psychopath. he attacks everybody but with varying degree of intenseness. he could ignore one person but would constantly attacks the other. at some point his "mother" adopts another stray and he immediately calms down and become a weird but extremely chill cat. he died last year form FeLV after living for 2 and a half year with us.
