You're absolutely right-buying a home is about more than the building itself; it's about becoming part of a community, forging connections, and feeling at home in your surroundings. A stunning view and the warmth of a welcoming neighborhood can make a house truly feel like a haven.
Love it. I would make the first bedroom into the toilet changing area. And knock the wall down to create one luxury shower room too. It would not cost that much. Local people would fix the roof and then put solar panels on for the heating( save a fortune) I think 10,000 would turn to=his home into a beautiful accommodation. Great size. Amazing views. Love the town too.
It sounds like you have a fantastic vision for the space, and I love your ideas! Transforming the first bedroom into a toilet and changing area, then knocking down the wall to create a luxurious shower room, would really elevate the bathroom and make it feel like a true retreat. It’s all about smart, functional design that doesn’t break the bank. 🌿 This could create a practical space that's both private and functional. It’s a great idea for a vacation home or rental, where guests may appreciate the convenience. Create a terrace or outdoor dining area where you can enjoy the landscape, maybe right by the olive trees. It would be ideal for meals, entertaining, or just relaxing. With these changes, you’d have a gorgeous, comfortable home that blends rustic charm with modern amenities-perfect for both personal enjoyment and attracting guests for seasonal rentals. The views and the town add so much character, and with a bit of thoughtful investment, it sounds like you’d have a wonderful space. It’s so exciting to imagine how beautiful this home could become! 😊
It’s always such a pleasure to see a charming town come to life through a video! 🎥😊 Exploring the streets, getting a glimpse of the local vibe, and imagining yourself there is part of the magic of house-hunting or dreaming about new places.
This house would be great for a family with kids. Would it ever be a beauty when renovations are done. It would be so worth it. Imagine what you would end up with. Really enjoyed the tour of the town. It looks like a great place to live. Why didn't you two dance? HA! HA! Thank you for the showing and the video. You both do such a great job.
What a heartwarming reflection! It’s clear this property has captured your imagination, and you’re already envisioning the life and memories that could unfold there. Renovating a home to restore its beauty is such a rewarding journey-it’s like giving a piece of history a new chapter, especially in a place as vibrant and inviting as this town. You’re right-this could be a perfect family home! With thoughtful updates, it can be both charming and practical. You’ve captured the spirit of small-town living perfectly. It’s not just about the home-it’s about the life around it. The laughter, the shared moments at the plaza, and yes, maybe even the dancing! 😊 The festivals, music, and traditions in towns like these create lifelong memories. It’s so nice to hear that the video and tour made you smile-it’s the kind of enthusiasm that makes this process so special! Maybe next time there *will* be dancing in the plaza-how could anyone resist in such a lively and lovely place? 😄
Absolutely, Pollutri does seem like such a lively and charming village! 😊 With its warm community vibe, scenic surroundings, and rich traditions, it’s easy to imagine enjoying the slower pace of life there. The local festivals and the connection to its historical roots make it feel like a place where every corner has a story to tell. It’s wonderful to find places like this that invite exploration and bring a sense of joy and belonging. 🌿
Very nice. Great size. Love the terrace idea. A little updating n repairs, maybe $40k, and for $75k, you have a 6 room, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths with terrace. Very good find.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts-your enthusiasm for this property shines through! 😊 The terrace idea adds so much charm, giving you a perfect spot to enjoy views or relax outdoors. Properties like these are such gems because they balance affordability with the potential to create something truly special. It’s wonderful to imagine how this house could transform into a cozy and welcoming space with those upgrades. 😊
I'm so glad you think so! 😊 It sounds like you're really connecting with the property and the charm of the place. It’s all about finding those little things that make a house feel like home, right? 🌿🏡
You must not have seen very many properties for sale in Italy then because most every property that is shown The people aren't living there and they leave their refrigerator open when they're gone for a long period of time so it stays fresh the refrigerator is off. You can't leave refrigerator closed when you're gone for months and months on end. Anyhow, yes and in a way they always keep the refrigerators open while they're gone 🙂👋👍
Haha, I totally get that reaction! 😂 Seeing an open fridge can trigger that inner urge to fix it immediately, especially if it’s in a home you’re considering. But leaving the fridge open when a house is unoccupied actually makes sense-here’s why: When a fridge is turned off and the door is closed, moisture gets trapped inside, creating the perfect environment for mold and bad odors. Leaving it open allows air circulation and keeps it dry. When the power is reconnected, like in this case, you can see immediately that it works and is ready for use. At least the fridge works-always a good sign! You’ve got a keen eye for detail 😊
It's a shame to see so many structures(homes) neglected, how ever ,I would redo(Maybe 50-75,000eu) the whole house and have for vacation place and rental season. Cheers from Toronto
Cheers from Toronto! 🍁 It’s both heartbreaking and inspiring to see neglected homes-heartbreaking because of the history left to weather away, but inspiring because of the potential to breathe new life into them. Your idea to renovate and create a vacation home and seasonal rental is fantastic! With a budget of €50-75,000, you could work wonders, especially in areas where labor and materials are more affordable.
I love this property and can see it's great potential, but I would make sense to do the whole roof, then mold remediation, have the electric inspected and also the plumbing. This would require experienced men and as an American the time it would take is what scares a person off. I am wanting to leave the United States but of course it is complicated, and not so easy as in the movies. And my big question is why it sits empty and unloved for 6 years? Why nobody in Italy want this lovely home? Also you did not walk around the outside. Is it on a cliff? One earthquake and you live down in the olive grove, lol?
You’ve raised excellent points about this property and its potential challenges, as well as the broader considerations of relocating internationally. Let me address your concerns one by one: You’re absolutely right about focusing on essential repairs: 1. **Roof Replacement**: A solid, updated roof is critical for preventing further damage and ensuring long-term structural integrity. 2. **Mold Remediation**: If the property has been empty for years, mold issues are likely, especially in older homes. 3. **Electrical and Plumbing Inspections**: Italian homes, particularly older ones, often require upgrades to meet modern safety standards. Local experts can help identify and fix potential problems. While it might seem daunting, Italy has skilled artisans who are familiar with restoring historical homes. While the road to making this house a home may not be as simple as a movie montage, the reward of transforming it into a dream retreat could be worth every step. 😊
If This One Isn’t for You If this property doesn’t check all your boxes, don’t worry-there are plenty more gems out there! Stick to your must-haves (like a garage) and keep searching for one that better fits your needs without stretching your budget. It’s clear you have a sharp eye for value, and your approach will lead you to the right opportunity. 😊
I really appreciate the tours of the community. You are not JUST buying a house, this will be your neighborhood and friends. Yes a very pretty view.

Nice town too! This is nice 2 bath home... A new roof probably needed but good price leaving room to do this. Thank you.
You're spot on-when a property is priced well, it gives you room to tackle necessary updates, like a new roof, while still staying within budget.

That sounds like a dream! A small stone house surrounded by olive and fruit trees evokes a serene, rustic charm perfect for relaxation.
