Though I still need to get actual Terra cotta planters that are made of the real ceramic, and not glazed or the plastic stuff that seems to be sold everywhere.
I have bought a gravity driven watering system by Tropf Blumat. I’m so excited to try it out this summer. Each pot/bed is watered with the help of a ceramic sensor. No timer needed.

I am a fan of the wine bottle watering things, same thing, I see when it needs more water. Only thing is they are a bit fragile as you kinda think “oh just shove the SPIKE IN” yeah don’t dig a small hole with a spoon or something and pit it like a plant.
I made a similar system DIY style with those long permeable semi-perforated hoses. They are almost paper consistency, but are some sort of fabric. It seems like someone could do the same with this system. Maybe not for everybody, I get the appeal of having a ready made product. But for me, I prefer making it. And it’s a lot cheaper.
Where did you get your planters? Bought or made? I need something exactly like that. Along with the watering system that I’m about to order 😊 great video!
2:55 Just a question, you said that your beds are 8 feet long and the radius of the "watering pot"/olla is 2 feet, which would mean you need 2-3 pots not 4 right? 🤔 I imagne what you said as 2 feet water space, the olla, 2 feet watering space, 2 feet watering space, the other olla, 2 feet watering space. Which would make 8 feet. I am genuinely just confused😅, would love some help understanding ❤
All my pots are plastic apart from one gifted by a Neighbour with Catnip..which the gift was for the cat not me haha. Ill move to terracotta later on when I have all the plants I want

Those can be helpful but don’t work quite the same way so can lead to over or under watering since it’s just constantly coming out
