Roy has achieved something that many singers can't.....his voice is EMOTIONAL....he makes you think you are actually in the song, feeling its beauty... Kamelot is the best band alive among some others!!
When I listened to this song for the first time on UA-cam, my wife was sitting next to me (who's not a metal fan), and when the song finished she asked me to re-play it again. She now listens to Kamelot because of this song.
Roy has resigned definetively from kamelot... he will be really missed. He was a really big inspiration, for me and am sure for a lot of fans out there too. His voice is really unique and his style had change a lot of paradigms in the power/progresive metal. i wish the best for him and his future, he gave us a lot of masterpieces like this amazing song and it wont be forgotten. from the heart... Thank you for everything dude! Respect!! Thumbs up for Roy, and LONG LIVE to KAMELOT!
This was actually the first song i heard from kamelot when i was a freshman in high school. at the time i did not know this was roy khans last video before leaving :(. but he did leave his mark on this last song.
One thing I'm thankful of, despite the Norwegian lead singer, they're easy to understand, so you don't fall in love with the music but get stuck somewhere trying to decipher what the heck the singer is saying...I've been listening to these guys now for a few days and love every song!
*sigh*... Farewell Khan ='( Songs of pain and soothing lullabies, Songs of happiness and some that make us cry. One song we share, The cross we all bear, One that segregates, One that unifies.... ...So bow down with me, Where summer fades into fall, And leave your hatchets of hate. Bow down with me, And sing the saddest of all, The song we all serenade.
Farewell Khan, your voice will be forever missed, I pity the poor guy who is to follow you in this band, for there is no way he will be able to match your pure energetic and haunting voice, and will always be compared to you, you've certainly made for a hard act to follow good sir, best of luck in the future!
Why is it that music like this isn't played on the radio...I can understand bands like Gojira or Chimaira, but this is downright beautiful...Astounding job Kamelot, keep up the good work...
And my eyes weep a shore that was always there A blood red line through the sun is there I can't resolve where it's coming from I sense it, the great pandemonium On the silent shore I conform to fear I spoke to god, but he wasn't there The sun is down and the war begun Assemble the great pandemonium Just one Just one Just one
Kamelot has done some amazing things with this album, and from the samples I have heard this is going to be nothing less than an Epic Album. And this song/video is all around amazing.... Live Long and Rock Hard Kamelot.
Man, the more I listen to this song, the better it gets! That's the sign of a great song....one that you like a lot on the first listen, but then it keeps getting better with each repeated listen. This cd is going to rock! I already bought my pre-order, and I'm eagerly counting down the minutes!
I've been a fan for a long time, and I love the new album along with the new video... at least this band tries to do something different unlike some that try to repeat themselves. That's why I have so much respect for this band. Great job Kamelot on another masterpiece!
Kamelot, Disturbed, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Linking Park, Three Days Grace, all are awesome... My favorite are Kamelot+Disturbed. Both solists got awesome voices... Thumbs up for Kamelot and Thoma's guitar mix, it is soul touching, mind blowing !!!
And my eyes sweep the shores that were always there. A blood red line through the sunny sphere. I can't resolve where it's coming from. I sense it, the Great Pandemonium. On a silent shore I confronted fear. I spoke to God but he wasn't there. The sun is down and the war begun. Assemble the Great Pandemonium. Just one Just one Just one more Just one Just one Just one more dead Just one Just one Just one more Just one moooorrreee
The guys from Kamelot are not humans, they already became God's, they once again prove that they can create good music without throwing away their style. The darker they become the more i love them. Thumbs up ppl if u agree with me! ~ A KAMELOT FAN FOR ETERNITY! ~
Roy Khan is and will always be the best of Kamelot, men like him there and even if it costs too much to find someone who can replace him will always remain in the hearts of his followers. Because his voice was unique and he just exuded feelings with music.
Come to Brazil FAST KAMELOT! WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU! This video is great, the new album is full of sentiments.. I don't know why people likes to complain and compare the albums... Come one guys, it's more music to hear, to feel, to love! BEST BAND EVER!
We were due to go see Kamelot tonight, but saddened to find out that they had canceled the rest of their US tour due to Roy being sick. Get better soon so we can rock like we were due to tonight Roy! Can't wait to see you guys in concert!
Great song for my end of week work day; Thank God It's FRIDAY.. Thank you to Kamelot and all my Uro-Metal Brothers.. Can't wait to see you in New York Sept. 15, 2012
One more dawn by the brook of Babylon, One more dawn in accordance with my fate, On long drift across the lake of Avalon*, One more trip that I must create \ And my eyes sweep the shore that was always there A blood red line through the sunny sphere I can't be sure where it's coming from I sense it in the great pandemonium** \ One more day by the pace of hell, Just one more when even yesterday was too late One more thought that I have to sow One last drink that you can't negate
@dedantemon This is the only song with growling on it, and the band brought in a guest vocalist on this track. I love the type of growling on this song, and it brings variety to the song. This tune is so multi-faceted that it blows my mind. Kamelot incorporated a ton of different elements in this song, and it works perfectly. Also, the growling is due to the part of a character in the song. The Great Pandemonium is a form of hell in literature, so that's why there is the harsher vocals
i remember the first time i listened this song... i didn't like it (i thought that their older songs were better) but i was an idiot! and this song is ont my top 5 of my favorite song ever!! it's also the one i listen the most on my mp3! all their album are different! that's why i love this band!! this song is just so perfect!!!
Wait... In Black Halo Mephisto was banned into hell, right? Could it possibly be that the narrator in the verses is Mephisto trying to break out of hell? Would be great, wouldn't it? :D
and again kamelot pleases the ears of the corupt and twisted with dark, disturbeing and hauntingly beutifull lyrics and a sound only those who truly apreciate music and the poetic aspects of a dark soul and pure heart, with a minde of origenality and change. :)
This is the unholy fusion of Rule the World and March of Mephisto. AND IT IS GLORIOUS. I got this album preordered. I get the feeling this is gonna be one of the best Kamelot albums.
such a great song i have listen tot his like time in a row and unlike other band that do growling in this son u can understand what he saying and its feels like parts of song keep on the good work
i pre-ordered my poetry for the poisoned album and its still in the mail and i promised myself i would wait until the cd got here to listen to it...welll i couldn't resist.. KAMELOT HAS DONE IT ONCE AGAIN. straight up epic, khan only gets better with each album
jkr is exactly right. There is so much in this album on every song that a first run through it merely introduces you to the surface. After several listens it gets deeper and deeper. This is still one of my top favorites on the album.
The Black Halo is probably my favorite album by them, but I do love this song. It has a nice mix of clean vocals and distorted vocals, nice tempo and a great solo.
Even Kamelot, at their absolute worst with this song, is better than anything Pierce the Veil or Bring Me The Horizon ever put out. I await the comments.
Hopefully Roy's illness isn't that bad. Without him, Kamelot would never be the same, in my opinion. He's an amazing guy, both artistically and personally. I'm not religious in any way, but I pray for him to get well!!
I wish Khan the best, and although he can never be replaced, Michael Ericsson from Circus Maximus is a great singer! I hope everyone still supports them on this tour!
@HoundofOdin, good articulation of my thoughts also. Pandemonium, if you read poetry, is the capital of Hell, according to Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Mesphisto is from that realm, for me, this seems to be an extensionalism of that muse. I was a hoping this would be at least on par with 'Black Halo' , but had my reservations. Having listened to it over and over and again, in my humble opinion it is a fab work of art. The drumming production is a little prettier than previous albums, It Rocks!!!
For anyone thinking about not going because Khan won't be singing; please reconsider. Any other band would have cancelled the tour, but Kamelot's so dedicated to you guys that they decided to press on anyway.
seriously... who ever produced this video needs to make a movie.

One of the greatest songs
Dude you're kidding? Everything Kamelot create is awesome till the end of the days.
THIS ALBUM BLEW MY FUCKING HEAD!!!!
ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS IVE EVER LISTENED TO IN MY LIFE!!!
Kamelot never sounded this dark, but the result is once again astonishing! I think Youngblood plays his best solo ever from 2:30 to 3:10
This was actually the first song i heard from kamelot when i was a freshman in high school. at the time i did not know this was roy khans last video before leaving :(. but he did leave his mark on this last song.
One thing I'm thankful of, despite the Norwegian lead singer, they're easy to understand, so you don't fall in love with the music but get stuck somewhere trying to decipher what the heck the singer is saying...I've been listening to these guys now for a few days and love every song!
That was quite possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life.
*sigh*... Farewell Khan ='(
Songs of pain and soothing lullabies,
Songs of happiness and some that make us cry.
One song we share,
The cross we all bear,
One that segregates,

It really is amazing how much Kamelot has evolved musically. They continue to impress me.
This whole song kicks some major ass, especially the guitar solo and the drums, both are phenomenal!
Why is it that music like this isn't played on the radio...I can understand bands like Gojira or Chimaira, but this is downright beautiful...Astounding job Kamelot, keep up the good work...
This got me in to metal... 8 years ago. I've never been the same. 🤘👽🤘
And my eyes weep a shore that was always there
A blood red line through the sun is there
I can't resolve where it's coming from
I sense it, the great pandemonium

Love it, and Speed as guest vocals makes it even better.
Kamelot has done some amazing things with this album, and from the samples I have heard this is going to be nothing less than an Epic Album. And this song/video is all around amazing.... Live Long and Rock Hard Kamelot.
Gonna miss this voice.
Basically every single video of Kamelot has like from me, and songs, I just can't give more likes :/ I want an adore button
Man, the more I listen to this song, the better it gets! That's the sign of a great song....one that you like a lot on the first listen, but then it keeps getting better with each repeated listen. This cd is going to rock! I already bought my pre-order, and I'm eagerly counting down the minutes!

This song and video convinced me to buy the album, and I do not regret it
Kamelot, Disturbed, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Linking Park, Three Days Grace, all are awesome...
My favorite are Kamelot+Disturbed. Both solists got awesome voices...
Thumbs up for Kamelot and Thoma's guitar mix, it is soul touching, mind blowing !!!
I keep coming back and back to this song .. effin addicted to the riffs .. Kamelot 4ever!

~ A KAMELOT FAN FOR ETERNITY! ~
Loved this video, the aspect of good and evil within the same person. AWESOME!! Keep it coming, your music and lyrics are incredible!
Roy Khan is and will always be the best of Kamelot, men like him there and even if it costs too much to find someone who can replace him will always remain in the hearts of his followers. Because his voice was unique and he just exuded feelings with music.
The production values on this video must've been high, 'cause this easily is some of the best work I've seen.
Come to Brazil FAST KAMELOT! WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU! This video is great, the new album is full of sentiments.. I don't know why people likes to complain and compare the albums... Come one guys, it's more music to hear, to feel, to love! BEST BAND EVER!

Don't know why, but I saw the entire video with a big grin on my face.

Damn, Roy Khan and Bjorn Strid in the same song?!?!?! FUCK YEAH!!!

Wait... In Black Halo Mephisto was banned into hell, right? Could it possibly be that the narrator in the verses is Mephisto trying to break out of hell? Would be great, wouldn't it? :D

Anyone else think that this is a fitting theme for the pandemic???
This is the unholy fusion of Rule the World and March of Mephisto. AND IT IS GLORIOUS. I got this album preordered. I get the feeling this is gonna be one of the best Kamelot albums.

One of the greatest heavy metal video clip EVER MADE !!!!!! SUPERB !!!
2:34 - 3:13
Thomas Youngblood: "This is for you, mom !!!"
If all Heavy Metal songs are of this calibre, we would be in Paradise,.
I dunno, Necropolis is pretty freaking creepy haha
This is some of the best, if not THE best, imagery I have ever seen in a music video!
95 people didn't get to speak to God.
i pre-ordered my poetry for the poisoned album and its still in the mail and i promised myself i would wait until the cd got here to listen to it...welll i couldn't resist..
KAMELOT HAS DONE IT ONCE AGAIN.
straight up epic, khan only gets better with each album
this is about the judgment day . the hell
jkr is exactly right. There is so much in this album on every song that a first run through it merely introduces you to the surface. After several listens it gets deeper and deeper. This is still one of my top favorites on the album.
I love the black halo album better but this song is okay
The Black Halo is probably my favorite album by them, but I do love this song. It has a nice mix of clean vocals and distorted vocals, nice tempo and a great solo.
rj irwin Well it's based on the gold in literature form that is Goathe's Faust, I love just about anything with Kamelot+Roy though ^^
+rj irwin You're comparing an album to a song?
+rj irwin Agree
The Black Halo is arguably still their best album to date. It's definitely their most popular anyway.
Great tune...great band!!!
So noone can see this is a depiction of sheol?
May the coolest video clip and 1 of their best songs!!! Just a week left for the poetry of the poisoned!
Even Kamelot, at their absolute worst with this song, is better than anything Pierce the Veil or Bring Me The Horizon ever put out.
I await the comments.
Here's a comment!
Hopefully Roy's illness isn't that bad. Without him, Kamelot would never be the same, in my opinion. He's an amazing guy, both artistically and personally.
I'm not religious in any way, but I pray for him to get well!!
Damn... Roy... you spoke to "god", but he wasn't there... are you surprised?
I never get enough of this song..
Farewell Khan, it's be one of my best mémorie to meet you and ,kamelot ...i wish you good luck and thanks for everything.
My favorite song, by my favorite band.
So good, constantly reinventing their music and staying fresh. Hope Roy feels better!
Kamelot's newest album, Poetry for the Poisoned, was released September 14, 2010.
It sucks that Khan got sick.. I hope he gets better. America loves you, Kamelot!
@IvanTsarina
I agree.I first listened to them about a year ago and they have become one of my favourite bands (if not my favourite).
I just get that epic feeling I got the first time I listened to "Rule the World". Incredible title track Kamelot. Incredible.
I wish Khan the best, and although he can never be replaced, Michael Ericsson from Circus Maximus is a great singer! I hope everyone still supports them on this tour!
I love the visuals Kamelot uses... in their album artwork, their website, and most of all, their videos!
Man I can't wait for this album to finally come out. This song if freaking sick.
@HoundofOdin, good articulation of my thoughts also.
Pandemonium, if you read poetry, is the capital of Hell, according to Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Mesphisto is from that realm, for me, this seems to be an extensionalism of that muse. i think i just fell in love with kamelot even more then i thought was possible
AWESOME

regards from Portugal
Best guitar solo I think I've ever heard.
You can never go wrong with the harmonic minor scale as a basis for a heavy song.
THIS IS AWESOME!!
i love the point where a band records their darkest album, its always amazing like this
lml
Amazing song.
Just got the new album today in the US, House on a Hill (uncut) sounds awesome, just like the rest of the album.

For anyone thinking about not going because Khan won't be singing; please reconsider. Any other band would have cancelled the tour, but Kamelot's so dedicated to you guys that they decided to press on anyway.
