Sarah was having a minor operation (she's fine!) and since the kids and I weren't allowed to wait, we decided to hit some garage sales and yard sales looking for stuff to resell. Thought this the entire time. Not to toot my own horn but it reminded me of me going with my parents to flea markets and garage sales. I knew if I behaved they'd get me at least one thing most of the time
You are absolutely right .... 80% of the kids behave are learn, 20% of genetic. LOt of parents doesn't have patience to take time and talk and explain to their kids. Lot of time kids need to be listen, and some parent doesn't listen to their children or ignore them.
You see, He don'T restrain his boy and let him hold stuff and watch what is around ... so the kids think he works too and spend real great time with his dad.

I'm late but I thought this same exact thing when watching him take his son with him to a garage/backyard sale where there was white bunny. Super well behaved child, I wondered if its A1 parenting or if its where this man is from cause thats rarely ever seen. Granted, it's the way it should be. And he speaks to his son firmly but kindly "don't go there bud" and his son listened! Wholesome, love it!

Great videos! Hats off to you for taking your kids with you. I used to take my son to my softball games with me when his mom was working afternoons, right in the middle of a game (I was pitching) he was yelling for me and I called for a time out and he yells Dad I have to poop! He's 25 now and I never let him forget about that day

My son went with me to mine also. He would make signs with pictures of me hitting. He also went to many yard sales with me. I would always buy him hot wheels and things he could play with while we went to yard sales so he would be happy for the day. Lots of fond memories.

I had one of them creepy monkeys when I was a little girl he is missing his banana 🍌 though I hated it it creeped me out lol and I'm 51 years old now and it still creeps me out . I was like 7 or 9 when I got him from my grandmother for my birthday I couldn't stand him lol 🤣
Can't believe you just got that blue tote filled with my childhood for FREE what a score! Even if it's hard to play them on a modern computer I'd be digging through that tote just for stuff to put on my shelf.

You will never lack for conversation... You're a good dad. Oh... I had a monkey similar to that in the early 50's. But its fingers were bent so it would hold your hands as you walked with him or you could let him hang from a rope or whatever. Glad your wife is doing well from her surgery.

I🐒 had a monkey just like that was named Sally after a kids 45 rpm named Sally the Runaway Monkey. I loved her madly. From Christmas pictures it looks like 1960. I'd hauled it around as toy of choice and tore the face. I remember being heartbroken. My mom sewed it with a heavy string. You think "Bobby" is creepy, you should have seen Sally! My brother and I got new monkeys in 1965 with suspenders and banana in their hand. We still have them, mended w/their fur loved off ín patches.

Great haul i found several of those monkees in the 80s at ysrd sale and sold on ebay in 2000 for 30.00 each back then and gave 25 cents each for them kids are sweet and you are great daddy

The way your little lad likes his bikes... you couldn't go far wrong checking out Atomic Zombie. They are bicycle recyclers...but they only sell plans on how you can make your own bikes/trikes/quads... and some of the features will grow (within reason) with you...!

Pink telephones are a nice flip. Any unique color vintage phones I like. Seem rare to find those pastel colored phones.

How much extra spend did you not intend with your son’s purchases 🤣🤣 I still get this now taking my 19 year old out, spend double on picks such as Pokémon box sets when I went out to get some milk with her. From toddler to teen, some things never change! Great to see your son following in your footsteps. Same with my girls in our passion for toys.

The monkey..is very rare because they made very limited numbers of Billy with that face ..they changed the face later on...u got the original face of billy....u should make great money for that one.. excellent find.. don't have it fixed it's more valuable untouched

I was born in 1954 and while in grade school a monkey was given to me for Christmas. Don't remember what happened to it. But over 20 yrs ago I found one at a flea market for 25 cents. To me it's not creepy. I'll always keep it.
