    I like what he said here about the albums are not in a line, but rather just individual satellites.

    Ive been a huge fan from rhe beginning. every albam is different. thats why I love them. pop, rock, rap and punk. It LINKIN PARK. these are my boys. my response to this albam ? its Linkin Park. listen to it. really listen. and hear what they say. if you listen to past albams and this. Its Linkin Park. their own sound. and a class of their own.

    U gotta respect them. I get that people find it disappointing that they got off the nu-metal road..
    But like they said in many interviews: they don't want to keep doing the same thing over and over again.
    It makes u a slave of your own music, its not a healthy thing to do for a band like them.
    A band who wants to keep re-inventing themselves.
    But it wouldn't hurt to put a little bit of the old stuff out every now and then.
    Even if its just 1 song.. just for the core fans from day 1 :D
    Keep it up LP, still a great band!

      I can understand why people are dissapointed in the change since they marketed the linkin park name like a lable, but when you look back to their earliest interviews, they all always saw themselves as a (in need of a better term) "wild card" band when comes to genres. So they stuck to what they always wanted, so my respect to them.

    • @loljar
      @loljar 7 років тому +1

      Jup, its understandable bc they invented a new genre of their own and crossed a frontier..
      but its not easy to do that again tho :D that's maybe why they kept trying out new stuff u know..
      I can figure 08 (pun intended xD)

      Normally Iam numb to these kind of puns which can make you faint, but in the end i can by myself appreciate it as its not leaving out all the rest of their heavy songs, to which i need to say a good goodbye and pleasent day to you sir. :D

      jagga 10 I definitely agree. I like all their old music and I've grown up listening to their new metal Rock Style and I admit this album is not what I'm accustomed to but times change and there are doing what any good band should do and adapt. it will be nice for them to retouch on some of their old Styles though

    Everything happened for a reason. This album was so deep and everything played out how it had to given Chesters passing, its crazy. Everything was preparing the world for him not being here.

  • @whatiwasgoingtosay

    He said the key thing that I think everybody that complains about One More Light needs to hear. The albums are not evolving toward anything. They are each their own thing. This is one of many facets in which I feel like LP is an outlier. Most bands do one thing and evolve into something else. Linkin Park's evolution is not in their sound. Where they've evolved is in their songwriting. The songs have gotten less formulaic and more surprising. And nowhere is that more clear than on One More Light. But people judge them the way they'd judge any other band. So, they hear The Hunting Party and One More Light back to back and think Linkin Park abandoned rock. But really, there is a through line from the writing on Hybrid Theory all the way to One More Light, which features their best writing to date.

    • @Eris_Norregard
      @Eris_Norregard 7 років тому

      Yeah, Mike has two kids. And Chester has six, which is completely insane. :D But one of them is not his by blood, I think he adopted son her wife had from previous marriage. And Chester's oldest son, Jamie, was that amazing screaming kid in From The Inside video. :)

    • @truthisinthebible
      @truthisinthebible 6 років тому +2

      Violet Raven why is it insane to have 6 children?? So judgemental to say. He and his wife and other kids are sharing the blessings he received from his band. They must love kids, and love being a parent. Those people should be praised, instead of criticized :D

    • @GotoMaki4Micah
      @GotoMaki4Micah 4 роки тому

      @@truthisinthebible those people who have litters, do not want/need praise, they want/need help. if they love kids, they could've adopted orphans. they are insanely selfish.

    • @truthisinthebible
      @truthisinthebible 4 роки тому

      @@GotoMaki4Micah yes, adoption is a virtue, and so he adopted his wife's first child ;-) But well, I guess Angelina Jolie & Madonna did all the celebrity adoptions already :-P Maybe if Chester still lived, they would have adopted, we will never find out anymore.....

    I wish there were at least some decent lyrics. The most pop thing about these songs are how stale and unoriginal the lyrics are. I could almost get behind the sound but meh im still happy with The hunting party.

  • @terrifendley2761
    @terrifendley2761 7 років тому +6

    Please stop the Pop thing. Chesters voice is drowning in the song HEAVY... Where's the great voice? Why combine the two voices ? No no no ....

    • @1747CT
      @1747CT 7 років тому +6

      terri fendley they've always had two vocalist so how was this any different?

    • @AnxiousCHKNLeg
      @AnxiousCHKNLeg 7 років тому +2

      terri fendley I agree Chester lacked effort in Heavy but in Battle Symphony that's the total opposite he used aggression and actually sounded like he was trying... people just complain too much they need to realize LP is about experimenting with music and this time will be pop but the next might be Nu Metal.

    • @mrsticky005
      @mrsticky005 7 років тому +8

      Have y'all actually LISTENED to the song? Chester was singing about being overwhelmed hence "why is everything so heavy?"
      Using aggression on that would make no friggin sense. Chester is SUPPOSED to sound weak and that takes effort.

    • @dancerkris95
      @dancerkris95 Рік тому +1

      No the way he did Heavy was perfect and how it should be with getting the message across on what he was saying especially when watching the music video for it.
