This band has been the whipping boy of rock and roll for for years - and for no good reason I can think of. Say what you want about them - this song rocks!

First time I remember hearing nickelback was on the radio in 2005 when I was a kid. I snagged the Zune my dad had with him in irag and it had most of all the right reasons on it. Good majority of my music taste today came from the zune. Always loved nickleback no matter how much shit I got for it.

But damn I’m glad to grow up in the 90’s and first decade of the 2000’s. So many good bands in so many different genres. That late 90’s early 2000’s rock just hit different tho. Creed, staind, Nickelback, seether, saliva, TDG. All those were just guaranteed to get your motor running 🤘🏼😂

I know ppl will think this is weird, but every time I hear this song I think of my dad who was in San Quentin for arson and robbery in the 70s. He got out changed his life got married and had kids. My dad's 76 years old and one of the best ppl I know. So even though it's about a prison I love this song. He's a great dad.
