i learnt hard style all by myself but can't do the same for sof style so i think hard style is for everybody and soft style are for more competetive and pros

@@moh7224 Any style is good and will get you fit. Just depends on personal preference :)

I think you are dead wrong about the specificity and GS not being an overall fitness barometer. Try using even just double 16kg bells and attempting a 10 minute Long Cycle test. It is extremely humbling. I am not in one camp or the other and I guess I probably mix and match from each "hard style" and "GS" schools of thought, but I can guarantee you that you cannot put in a 10 min Long Cycle set with even light bells right now because you are not in good enough shape for it. I will bet you money right now. An all out 10 min Long Cycle test with even double 16kg bells is harder than a 30 min EMOM with double 28kg or Armor Building Complex. I am not saying one is better than the other (I do both) but the Long Cycle requires a spooky level of cardio and endurance.

@@jasonwelsh417 Now I'm really curious to try a 10 min Long Cycle... It just so happens that I have a pair of 16kgs... I will make a post about it if I get a chance to try it out!

@@bodyweightkettlebells Make a video if you do, even if you can't do it the first time. Aim for at least 8rpm. I personally use more of a hardstyle approach to everything because it just feels better to me and the sport style rack feels weird and only benefits GS itself. However, it is rough trying to do ten mins using a pure hardstyle rack. You may have better luck though.

I agree with you on this take. I am not by any means in superb condition but I did cycle to work every day for over a year just now and I do a lot of gym/cardio/kettlebell/sandbag stuff but GS scares the shit out of me. I can clean & strict press double 32kg bells for confortable sets of 5 but I can barely do GS long cycle for 5 minutes with double 8’s. And the only way to do 5 minutes of snatch with 16kg is by switching hands very often.
The thing with kettlebell sport is that you need to be able to find those spots where you can ”rest” without setting the bell down. GS rack requires a lot more mobility in my experience than hard style rack. I can’t quite get relaxed enough and that burns my shoulders and back when I try to catch my breath.
I’m looking forward to hear your thoughts on the sport style after you’ve tries it. 💪

@@builtlikemotomoto I have a resting heart rate of anywhere between 38-45bpm depending on the day. I do hill sprints and burpees for fun. a 10 min Long Cycle is brutal in ways beyond just cardio. It is a strange fatigue and like you said, you really need to dial in the GS style rack position. That rack position is probably only useful for GS. you would never loft/hold/carry a real world object like that (the hard style rack is superior here), but if you don't have a good rest rack position have fun getting past 5 minutes of long cycle.
