Nice, also try a Behringer SF300, it's one of the best fuzz pedals I own! It even ended up on my bands new album alongside a over 250€ boutique pedal....and the Behringer is only 25€!

Dave!! the boss fz-2 is amazing. cant find it anywhere though as its discontinued. but the behringer sf300 super fuzz is 1:1 copy and i highly recommend getting one.
This is the fz3, fz-2 is the hyper fuzz and fz-5 is the one with 3 modes, 1 Germanium fuzz face, 2 is based off a Maestro fz-1b I think and 3 is octave.

This fuzz or should i call it Boss FZ3 is something something special,, after i had it and sold it, i bought it again today...i figured it is what i need in live shows the best,,after using FuzzFace, Russian BigMuff ,NYC Big Muff and CoolCat Danelectro Fuzz, Boss FZ3 cuts best in live with super lead 100w, basically its overdriven clean Californication sound without CE1 ( i have CE1 in box but i dont use it, sometimes for vibrato but i dont need preamp and compression from it, Marshall is doing the job on the edge of clean/ break up) with good bass and middle pronounce like a mix of Silver Jub and Major and Boss FZ3 attaches to the amp the best way, i cant wait to turn it on again on stage. The funky half gated fuzz that it makes trough speakers is really different fuzz, not even Zvex does it good like Boss.🎉
Dave! I have the FZ-3 as well and I love it! Does your signal cut out for just a millisecond when you stomp off the DS-2 running directly into the Fz3? Mine does. It’s not bad at all, but I was curious if anyone else has experience with these two pedals as they are becoming a bit of a rare combination nowadays. Cheers mate

Also please include in the description the preset you set’ve the g2.1u to (type of course, not the actual preset number, corresponding to your desert island or gigging with g2.1u videos)
Ooh-err..... Never heard of this pedal, which to me sounds more creamy-sustainy than fuzzy. Sounds a great pedal, although I've not yet met a Boss pedal I didn't like just a little bit. Pity these go for around £150-ish second hand if you can find one. So..... the question is: what are the Helix Effects settings that best emulate it ??

You have proven that its all in your fingers and you dont have to spend thousands to get wonderful sound. (plus, those are nice amps in the first place).. I love your demos, and sound, and the way you execute the wah. That first is a Boss Turbo Distortion.
There’s a Fuzz Face before it.
The two after the Boss Fuzz look like Marshall Governor and Bluesbreaker pedals.

I don't know how he made it sound like that. That pedal is definitely not "creamy" on its own.

I don't think so,the FZ3 is a tweaked Fuzz Face circuit,and it's a different beast compared to a Muff (I own several muffs and a FZ3 clone)

That's silicon, you should try the EHX Big Muff Pi USA version but John had an Earlier version.
I don't like big muffs. Plus this is the same model John used for californication so I'm happy.
