in the same way that a 4K video on a 1080p monitor is better than a 1080p video on a 1080p monitor. Higher bitrate... But it would still be better if he had posted the video in 4K...
True. One thing could have resolved this - zoom comparison on both as camera only uses digital zoom. As such in theory zoom on 1080p should look much worse than on 4k and would show up just fine on 720p video on UA-cam.
@@eddie2613 I know it's a bit late for this but depending how it's set up it could still record at 4k all the time then only send 1080p if that's the case then you could zoom with the same quality.
We have Logi Meet-up camera in the office and the video quality is excellent hard to really see here as you are only using compressed 720P... if reality it is great especially if you have good monitor or 4k TV in your conference room.
Hi. To do the comparison like this best I recommend the following. First, make sure you use same frame rate for all cameras you are comparing. This way your best camera, in this case Sony a6000 would not look like so stutter-y. Also a6000 is not a DSLR, it is a mirorless camera. Second, your workfile and final output has to match the highest resolution of the cameras compared - in this case 4k, not 720p. And last but not least - get a decent webcam eg. Logitech BRIO which is inexpensive but would give a good run to Meetup for its money. You could also up the Sony a6000 released in 2014 to something a bit newer like a6400 which can film in 4k.
A lot of echo from the microphone compared to the microphone on the desk and the video quality is not so excellent. But it seems a good product with a very good noise canceling considering that it's not near to the mouth like the microphone of an headset is.
Yes this is a nice device I do have question I need vocal feedback at the same time say for instance singing need to hear your voice any recommendations on your pods and camera thank you
Question: can you hookup a smartphone using USB C to HDMI and plugin to a 60 inch monitor? So any person can become the meeting OPI using their smartphone and not have to rely on or lug around a laptop.
Is there a cable length limit for this camera? I have a computer that is on the opposite side of the room. I currently have a Cat5-to- USB convertor, but I'm not sure if this will supply enough power.
It is 16 foot cable ya i'm not sure on that if it's powered cat5 it may be ok but yes there are performance issues over USB if you have too long of a run and not enough power.
I've got this unit from the second hand store without any supplies and managed to find a 12V 1.5A adapter for it. However when I plugged it in my PC, the sound was distorted with the pop-up popcorn noise on the background. I've tried few C-cables but the sound was the same. Any idea what could be wrong?
Hi Lars I didn't fully test that but the microphone says it has 3 beamforming elements which i'm not sure if that means 3 microphone spaced out in the unit or if the software is able to distinguish where people are located. What is it you are looking for?
Hi Jason, not that we're aware of but it may help if you get AI noise canceling software to help achieve your goal. You can learn more here krisp.ai/?ref=headsetadvisor

Because at the time we were new to recording and only was able to record in 720p plus only some video conferencing apps support 1080p or greater as far as live meetings go due to bandwidth limitations but we're starting to see more and more widespread support on apps like Google Meet, Teams, and Zoom.
You know what is an absolute slap in the face from Logitech to their clients? Supplying a usb2.0 cable along with the camera, forcing you to fork out even more cash to purchase a USB3.0 cable so you can actually get 4K quality video. Nickel and diming their clients on a very expensive product.

How are we supposed to see the difference between 4K and 1080p on a compressed 720p UA-cam video?
thats definetively a thing that can be improved by switchting to 1080p on your recording and doing a higher bitrate

Hi Eddie, thank you for your feedback to help us improve!
had these installed in all our meeting rooms. Awesome product!
It really is an awesome product and very affordable
how many people per meeting?

Really really helpful, thank you a lot!!
You're welcome!
It doesn't seem like we can use any other extension mic than Logitech's own, which has one of those "almost-but-not-quite USB-C" connectors.
Would have been nice to see how you connected the MeetUp to a PC/Laptop for joining video conference meetings
Thanks for the feedback we will make a video on this

Huge sound difference between the condenser mic and the mic in the Logitech.

Yes
