    The mic pick up was better than expected when you were around 15ft away. I found it very clear.

    Good review, I would love to know if it has Bluetooth, wifi and can I add external microphones? Does it require you to install software?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Рік тому

      Yes it has Bluetooth but that’s only for the remote or accessing the Sound+ app. No wifi. No external microphones. Software isn’t required but is recommended. We have some other available options that do have these features contact our team info@headsetadvisor.com for a recommendation.

      @HeadsetAdvisor Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I am in an environment that cannot have any RF signals, even if it is only for control.

    Awesome device. We just bought one for our conference room. One thing I think it can improve on for the future iterations is to add the ability to be used as a bluetooth speaker.

    I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone show how the physical setup looks. In the ads it shows the bar nicely mounted to the wall with no cables but I find that hard to believe. How does this hook up to your computer? Am I going to have a long cable stretching across my conference table to the preson at the head presenting?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Рік тому

      Hi Jess, good point and definitely an oversight of ours. To connect with your computer, yes you need to connect a USB and HDMI cable from the Panacast 50 to your computer or laptop.That being said, there's other setup configurations the Panacast offers that may work more in line with what you'd like. Please contact us so we can help further. headsetadvisor.com/pages/contact-us

    Great review! It would have been even better to tell about the camera and mic you use in the studio so that viewers can understand the difference. It was obvious that the both video quality and audio quality from this unit was far inferior to your studio setup. As such, it would be good to understand if your studio is e.g. using a mic setup that's more expensive than this whole unit, or a optics in the camera where the lens is more expensive than the whole Jabra unit.
    Also, does the mic selection, camera stitching and orientation selection happen in the hardware only? Or does this require drivers to be installed in the host computer to be usable at all? I understand that it must be configured with a computer with drivers but does it store settings in the hardware and next computer connected to it can pretend it's just an USB webcam using default UVC drivers?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 роки тому

      Hi Mikko, thanks for watching! I see your point but the camera and mic we use to create our videos wouldn't be what you'd use in a conference room, or on meeting software like Zoom and Teams, so it wouldn't be the right comparison. This is a plug and play device, but if you want to customize different camera settings, zoom etc.. you need to download Jabra Direct.

    • @MikkoRantalainen
      @MikkoRantalainen 2 роки тому +2

      @@HeadsetAdvisor I understand that the camera and mic used in the studio wouldn't be used in conference room but the viewer watching this video will first see very high video and audio quality and then downgrade to conference camera. Without understanding the quality of the gear seen before the switch, the viewer may consider the quality of that conference camera worse than it actually is.
      I think it's about setting correct viewer expectations instead of doing a literal comparision between studio gear and an integrated webcam (albeit a higher end one).

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

      Hi Justin, you would need to have the Panacast 50 connected to your computer using a meeting app like Zoom or RingCentral.

    One more question: can I synchronize the equipment via Bluetooth with the TV and the notebook itself?
    In my attempts I failed.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 місяці тому

      hmm not quite understanding the question. You'd want to use the HDMI to the TV use the speaker built into the Panacast 50 then pair a smartphone to the Panacast 50 so you can use the speaker/mics on the Panacast 50 to make a call from your smartphone. The notebook should be connected via USB.

    Hi there. I was wondering.. is it possible to utilize only the camera on this unit and use a seperate audio unit within zoom to ensure everyone in the room is heard? I am looking for a wide angle camera for a conference room but it is a long room and I am worried the people at the far end won't be heard clearly. Thank you!

      I handle such cases with a Panacast for image, and 2 Jabra Speak 710 on each side of the room. You can connect those 710's (as you can two Speak 750's, but NOT the new Speak 2 series) to cover the whole room. I also use the connected Speak 710 'S to listen to music. It sounds really great!

    Are you able to control each camera? What I mean is can you lock two of the cameras in on two people rather than using the AI to focus back and forth?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

      No you can independently control each camera. However you can set the single screen to whichever Zoom level you want and bypass the AI no problem. If you have any more questions reach out to our team info@headsetadvisor.com

    Thank you for posting this. Can you comment as to how the device is managed in Jabra Xpress? I noticed an ethernet port on the back of the unit. Does this mean that the unit itself is running some sort of Jabra Direct client, such that I can manage the device through Xpress directly, or does it use the Jabra Direct client on the users PC that is connected via USB? If so, would I only have enterprise management once someone connects a PC with the Direct client🤔

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Chris! The Ethernet port on the PanaCast 50 is for management via Xpress. In Jabra Direct, a PanaCast 50 can be configured to communicate directly with your Xpress instance over the internet. Once the PanaCast 50 is linked to your Xpress instance, it can be managed and provide analytics without the need for a PC running Jabra Direct.
      Let us know if you have any other questions.
