This is totally legalism. You do not have to be married to be a pastor nor do you have to have multiple kid(sss). IF! You are married it has to be 1 wife or IF you have kids.... You say Paul couldn't be a pastor because the Bible says so. Paul is the one who wrote that! And the only one who wrote on that topic. Under your legalism Jesus couldn't even be a pastor of his own faith, that's absolutely ridiculous.
Jesus Christ had a higher calling than becoming pastor. As Brother Matt said in the video, Paul wasn't even a pastor. He didn't pastor the churches he started.
This man is correct in this video. Paul was not a pastor. He helped start the churches and the word shows that clearly. To be a pastor is a true calling and since God is a being of order, the man that runs HIS house for the believers should be able to first run his own household in the proper manner. Just because Paul wrote most of the new testament, Paul does not get elevated in status more than what he was in his life. As for many children, I don't see that as necessary - one is enough in my mind. BUT.... if we are to live by the word then we need to LIVE BY THE WORD. And just FYI, someone saying "just because Paul wrote that" doesn't make it the truth - needs to seriously self-reflect. EVERY VERSE OF THE BIBLE CONTAINS ONE SOMEONE SAID. If its in the bible, it's not up for debate.
With all due respect, your concept of an evangelist is extremely incorrect. The pastor is not above an evangelist they are just different ministries. Ephesians 4:11 states that Jesus constituted five ministries and they all possess a different role to edify the body of Christ
Not to pick seeing as it is not a salvation issue. I think that verse about married to one wife has to do with polygamy not that you must be married Paul was not married.
I believe an Evangelist in 2 Timothy 4 is not just in the context of being a soulwinner but also preaching sermons which would correlate to running a church. In the Bible, Philip did meet the requirement of having faithful children though he was still an Evangelist. So I believe that if a church decides to send someone to start a church who either is not yet qualified or needs more training to Pastor, or if they want to help get a church started but not become the full time Pastor then that is a biblical approach. Before I moved to Verity, I talked to Pastor Jimenez about eventually being ordained as a Pastor, what the requirements would be, the time frame, etc.....When I was at Verity, he thought I was ready to be a Pastor except the requirement of faithful children. But he felt I was ready to run a church as an Evangelist until my children are old enough where he will ordain me as a Pastor. So I wasn't intending or trying to become an Evangelist but the opportunity presented itself. If you are looking to eventually be a Pastor or Evangelist then I would talk to your church about what they would require to be sent out. If that opportunity doesn't seem the best then I would recommend considering which like-minded churches you would be interested in moving to and talk to the Pastor of those churches. Different Pastors could feel differently about training people for the Ministry or sending out people as Evangelists. I would plan for a career to the place you would be interested in being a Pastor or Evangelist. Unless you had a large church, it's probably not likely to have enough support to be full time. Since we don't follow the Deputation System, there aren't going to be 100 churches sending you monthly money. I am fortunate to still be able to work remotely for Verity Baptist but otherwise I would probably be a Math Teacher or English Teacher here. I don't think training to be a Full Time Evangelist is a really wise choice. I'm not saying it can't work out but Paul the Apostle was usually working. Obviously if he built up a big enough church then they could help support him. But just like being a Pastor in the US, until your church is being enough to financially support you full time, you will probably have to work a secular job while being in the ministry. Hopefully that helped answer your question.
Thanks for your opinions My brother...I believe you should seek the face of God concerning your Ministries...you don't want to do unto God what your name is saying: stucky

I know right. I was thinking the same thing.

So do you just ignore parts of the bible. Lots of great people in the bible could not be new testament pastors.

I got it brother stucky..
Very. Good. Pastor. Singh
Can you give the biblical way to become an evangelist?

So o can be an evangelist and preach without being a pastor.
