- This is a side of Modern Jakarta that doesn't get frequently covered, unlike SCBD, which is a largely business district of Jakarta city. Jakarta is a blend of both modern and traditional when it comes to being a mega city in South East Asia. PIK is an area of North Jakarta that blends the old with the new and it's a very unique place to explore for a day.

If I remember correctly PIK was Indonesian private investment that have collaboration investment with Japan and China combined. That's why you find many Chinese and Japanese branding in the PIK Areas and that's why the design of the area also resemble modern Japanese and Chinese city.

Paul is a bakery that is originally from France but is now in many other countries. When we visit Dubai it's one of the bakeries we go to because we love their breads
If you are looking at east part of Surabaya you can also find a place like this, it's at the Pakuwon City. You surely feel that is not Surabaya. All the styles there are western. You can find a nice mall there included the apartment with eatery. The centre of food court is so gorgeous if you visit in the evening with several food and at the other side you can also compare the place with the west part of Surabaya and at the west part of it you can go into the Pakuwon Mall which is the biggest and the largest mall in Indonesia. Don't forget to visit the G-Walk by night not far a way from the Pakuwon Mall at west Surabaya.

Try to visit the Thousand islands / Kepulauan Seribu at the northern Jakaarta. The Thousands Islands actually are Part of Jakarta, consist of around 100 islands with many beatiful beach views.
In the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area there is a religious tourism destination that has just opened, namely the Our Lady of Akita Prayer Park.
Not just a place of worship for Catholics, this place is also interpreted as a form of commemoration of the divine event of the statue of the Virgin Mary shedding tears in Akita, Japan.
You must try to visit Seribu Island areas on North Jakarta like Pramuka Island

Jakarta you could find, Dutch and German products across most of the supermarkets. My favourite is Indomaret, which is very affordable 😀

once you guys go back to east Java, and let say exploring Bromo, please stop by Surabaya again... Then, you go to area called "CITRALAND" at West Surabaya... In this Citraland area, you will get similar vibe like you have in PIK... 😊😊
Nice place,... Please come to Badui which is a tribe in Banten west Java, so unique and they still live in an old culture.
PIK is my favorite destinstion for spend time with family or friends.

PiK 1,2,3.. is looklike new different city from jkt, and i still in area north of Jkt, also U can Xplore "regata' are.. and ancol...i think at that time U not Xplore all about Ancol...Ancol is very bigg.. many Cool ship, beach, putri duyung, mall ancol, circuit International A1, traditional market vestifal, etc... And from ancol you can go to pulau pari, pulau pramuka, etc..and its beautiful n cool

High end mall is Pacific place, Ashta district 8 and Plaza Indonesia, if you wanyo more fancy mall come to central.park in the evening and if you want see jakarta in the night come.to skyee resto its a.nice viuw. so you can see completely jakarta from the high end, and middle class

PIK is beautiful, and yeah it's a shame there aren't many sidewalks, it would be nice if there were more. But I think only a few Indonesians use it, like in the SCBD area there has good sidewalks but people still use cars and scooters. Maybe it's because it's hot so people don't want to walk 😅 and I think most Indonesians or Asians are "afraid" of the sun, because Asian people prefer white skin ( I don't mean to be racist )🙏 but like from Korea there are lots of beauty products to whiten the skin. In contrast to you guys, white people, especially Americans 😅 you know what l mean 😂😂

Indonesia is a Muslim country but there is a massive Christian population. Bali is predominantly Hindu culture, there is everything and for everyone, that's the beauty of Indonesia. Also there is an ethnic native Chinese population as well.
