Do you think it’s worth learning how to use iMPC pro 2 if you already know beatmaker 3. Is there something that you can do in iMPC pro that you can not do with BM3? I find it hard to jump from app to app and avoid it unless there is a feature that I need in the second app. I really like both apps. We are so spoiled with all these super apps that cost next to nothing. It blows my mind when people complain that an app costing $15 is too expensive. Just don’t go to the coffee shop for a week and you can buy 5 apps. Apps cost nothing.
If you have a real love for MPC workflow, then maybe. I do. My main attraction to impc pro 2 is the iPhone version is dropping dec. 12. BM3 is in limbo w/ the iPhone update. My iPhone is more muscular than my old Mini 2 iPad, plus my phone is always with me. So I’m amped for the MPC P2 on the phone.
Shazamm the iPad Producer that's the only difference? I don't think dragging and dropping instead of double tapping is something to decide one app over another?. Both take the same amount of time.
Perry Pelican the difference for me is that the workflow in the iMPC pro, and stability is better than bm3, as I have had countless problems with bm3, which is times consuming and a waste of ones time, plus killing the inspiration dead 💀. So that’s the difference between both apps.
easier way: Tap out beat normally. Use his duplicate program to make new program copy everything in timeline and mute what you don’t want. You could copy/cut individual sounds in timeline but muting keeps your cutoffs.
Pls is it possible to have 2 or more projects open at the same time? (I want to play projects (mostly audio files without fx) in a live scenario but would love all projects I'm playing to already be loaded)
Hey Brother how did you hook up the mpd218 up to the ipad physical and how did you get impcpro to recognize it any settings that you can share would be great. i cant get the program to trigger from the mpd218.Thank you for your time!
I don’t get why you make multiple tracks for drum tracks? You can do all the same thing in one drum track. I just record each sound kick snare hats one at a time but on the same track cuz mpc only lets you have 8 tracks per sequence. Why waste em on single drum tracks? Is it better for exporting ur stems?
Yeah so I have banks A B C and D mapped but I have to keep hitting midi learn to swap which bank is mapped. Kind of a work flow issue. Is there a workaround?
Michael Wheeler I have bank A mapped to bank a button on the mpd218 then I midi learned bank b and c the same way. On the mpd there is a A B and C options for the pads use that while midi learning
Sometimes the simplest things are the most powerful. Thanks for breaking this down step by step. I’ve been using this app for quick ideas/scratch pad...just to get the beat down before I forget it. Now I can dive a little deeper into it. Thanks ✌🏽
So I was curious..ive been having a hell of a time with the metronome..Everytime I try to record something,it records the ticking along with it...Maybe you can tell me what I'm doing wrong..Thx man
It's not recording the metronome you have to turn it off after you record or set it in the settings. I can't walk you through it because I don't have my iPad on me. But I believe that's all if you still have trouble I'll try and grab my iPad and talk you through it
I'm having a problem with saving samples and drum kits. When I hit save and close it will save and when I go to open it, every thing is gone. I have to start building the kit again! I would appreciate any help. Thanks

You don't have to go to the tracks page to change the track. You can do it by tapping on the track number on the top of any page and choose the track from the drop down. It's way easier that way. I used to do it like you by going to tracks page every time until I discovered the better way. Tapping stuff at the top is cool and it was designed that way to improve the work flow efficiency. You have a lot of good info in your videos but I find that you take way too long to get into the real stuff. Just trying to be honest, not negative. I find that people are afraid to say what they really think because they don't want to be labelled as trolls or whatever. The problem with that is that you never find out what people prefer. If all you get is dope this and dope that, you will never know if anything you are doing can be improved. Keep the videos coming.

I sent the developers an email requesting ability to have separate effects Songs per pad so we can tweak that on per pad basis! Separate mixer channels per pad would be the ultimate though so you can record your drum track in one pass!

impc allows you to drag and drop folder of sounds to the pads BM# you cant do that yet

I have the MPD226 and I used a USB 3 adaptor plugged into the wall. I think you might have to put it in low power mode with the regular usb adaptor
