Great stuff thanks. Here is a big question. Looking at the arrange page, is it yet possible to select between the locators and copy everything you see over. Like using the lasso tool in a daw. This is a massive issue for me. I’ve not seen anyone mention it yet. Thanks for giving your time
@@thahyst thanks for replying, On my MPCX I definitely cant highlight multiple tracks by holding shift. I did accidentally create a 'locator' when shift was pressed and I dont know how to remove it. Can you elaborate as I might be doing something wrong.. Thanks Lee
I use an SSL12 interface to record all my MPC beats to the DAW. I highly recommend it. Solid State Digital is a legit brand, too. And no problem! Thank you for watching 🙌
When you say batch the tracks. I have seen in other videos where you went into the track editing you can choose and change the order of the tracks. So instead of deleting them you can make track 15 to be track 1 and track 3 to be track 2 etc. and it will move their order.
Yeah, I meant like, grouping the tracks together so they can be deleted at once, instead of one at a time. That's a good work-around though. Thanks bro, I'll have to play around with the track editing feature and see what I can do, and I'll go over it in one of my next videos 🙌
In arranger mode, when I press and hold on the bar of a track to try and mute it like you do nothing happens. I don’t get the drop down menu that you do. Am I missing something?
That is weird. If you're in the arranger mode and you hold down the audio wav track, it should give you that option. You might want to report that to Akai support. I've had to report a few things since this last video.
@@thahystJust realized something. I was trying to do this with raw tracks that were not converted into an audio wave loop like yours here. Might that be the reason?
Thank you for watching! And I hear you there, I try to make things as different as I can. These trap beats are sometimes fun to make, but those fast hihats get old quick!
You would want to highlight the area in the arranger where you want to record a drum fill (like a bar right before the verse) and record it in, then it should add that to your arrangement. I'll spend a little more time in the arranger for my next video, i hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching, btw 🙌
How do you parallel process and I want to record my drummer? I need 10-12 (drums) audio tracks. As I'm recording, I like to use my Neeve emulation VST. How can I achieve this in the MPC.? Thats how we do things in Cubase and Protools..
I believe you can do this in the MPC One, Live, and the X. I'm almost certain we can parallel process and parallel compress in the MPC Live. You can definitely record up to 12 audio tracks (depending on the internal drive it may or may not lag a bit), and you can even plug in an interface to the MPC Live. I'll do a video on this and try to cover recording drums on multiple tracks and parallel process, thanks for watching, by the way!
@antwonanderson2562 Yeah, my bad. I said it's possible to do 12, but I was thinking of controller mode. But 8 is a definite. Personally, for tracking out drums, I would use ProTools, Cubase or FL, or any DAW for that matter.
Just what I needed to see. I have the same Mpc Live 2 Gold Edition btw. Love it.
Aye! Gotta represent that gold edition man! I appreciate you for watching, and I'm glad you liked it!
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 🙌

You should be able to hold SHIFT and click each track to highlight them. I'll try to cover the arranger mode a little bit in my next video

What's your audio interface to rec your mpc to your DAW ? Thanks for the video

@@thahyst so this I guess is heading towards what I was asking earlier.

@@thahyst Thanks. I might just do that.

Hot track, I usualy don't watch beat making video because the all sound the same, 90 mile a hours hi hat and trap pattern,,, Nice video......
Thank you for watching! And I hear you there, I try to make things as different as I can. These trap beats are sometimes fun to make, but those fast hihats get old quick!
Quick question, say i wanted to put a drum fill at the end of the intro to bring in the beat...how would i add that to the arrangement?

@thahyst this makes alot of sense. So what would I push to make the drum fill match my global bpm?
@GaryCOLLOMAN. In the slicing window, you should be able to "sync to bpm," but if not than you might have to chop it and finger drum it on the pads.

You can only record 8 audio tracks on standalone but unlimited in controller mode. As far as I know.

yo can you make a video showing how to install and format a ssd sata into my mpc live 2?
I'm about to upgrade my MPC Live's storage, so I'll definitely do a video on that in the near future. I appreciate you for watching 🙌
Hold shift
🔥🔥🫡👊🏾!!!
Saying 3.4 is insane lol You on something we don’t know about yet ?
Because it is 3.4.9 beta
If you duplicate tracks it carries samples over
So more same sounds 😢😢😢
