For better results, apply a thin layer of flux on PCB pads to be soldered first. Then secure the module in place with tape so it won't move when soldering pads. Use very fine solder and small tip soldering iron solder a corner pin first. Inspect. Adjust if necessary before soldering any additional pads by reheating and moving module with toothpick or similar probe. Solder corner pad on opposite side of board next. Inspect. Check that module is fully flat on PCB. If not reheat and use toothpick or similar probe to hold the module down while it cools. If you needed to adjust the second pad, reheat the first pad after getting the second pad done to relieve any stress on the first pad solder joint. The module should now be oriented exactly as you want it, with two perfect pads soldered. Finish by removing the tape and soldering the remaining pads. Inspect for solder bridges. If found, solderwick and some flux works great to remove the excess solder. Put the flux on the bridged area, lay the solderwick over the bridge, and heat the solderwick and the bridge through the solderwick. After any bridges are removed, clean the board with isopropyl alcohol to remove any flux residue. Inspect. Look for dry solder joints, bridges, excess solder balls, etc. Once you have completed the inspection and did a final clean you are ready to use the part. Note that most fluxes are slightly corrosive at room temperature, leaving them on the PCB can cause issues later. This is why cleaning is important. You can make a liquid flux for applying to the PCB pads by using a very small glass jar with a tight fitting metal lid. Hobbyist model paint containers work well. In a clean glass jar place a small amount of solder flux. (If you find you need a stronger flux solution, you can always add more flux later.) Add isopropyl alcohol until the container is about 1/4 full. Screw the lid on and shake until the flux is fully dissolved. Now you can apply this liquid flux mixture to the PCB pads with a ultrafine artist paintbrush. The alcohol will evaporate leaving the flux behind after you wipe it on the pads. Label the bottle. Enjoy.
