@@getrichtrying hey Roby , every time I try to make comparison in my head to prescribe the difference i feel,coming back to this shifter is something similar I experienced many years ago with my Fiat Punto I owned and practiced my rally driving skills!
I drive that Punto daily and I loved it but at the same time I drove an Audi which was the car of my girlfriend then ! That Audi always felt different just like that shifter here ! Every button I pressed in that car felt just different level!
This shifter feels something between magnetic and mechanical and have that high quality click trough shifting which I haven’t found in any other I ever used !
Is just so satisfying 😃
@@chepilevski so far it feels really natural. The position and height are great. It just feels like a really good shifter so far :)
For me the best Sequential shifter, a year + with it and the shifting was insane.
I had an issue that the micro controller died and he offered to send me a new one. I got a new one myself and he got on call with me helping get the controllers installed so the shifter would work again.
The shifting force also is adjustable with new springs.
Also the pedals he made are pretty decent too

I have both the sequential shifter and the handbrake and absolutely enjoy them both. The handbrake has a nice, short pull which feels more natural to me than the long pulls of other kits. I find I have a hard time using other handbrakes since I started using the SG-Racing unit.
The sequential give a nice feel when shifting but doesn't pop an ear drum when doing so. I could not use my Aiologs shifter at night due to the volume of the shifts but this one I use almost every night while my family is sleeping with no issues. Love that you can get them in custom colors as well. Packaging was the same as what you received. No damage on any of my parts. I had to put the knobs on myself as they both came wrapped in a foam sleeve. One of my favorite purchases for this hobby of ours. The only two games I've been able to map the quick neutral in is WRC Generations (mapped to reverse) and in RBR.

I also have the SG racing combo pro black and I agree entirely with your comment. Went with black grips. Love it! Also having trouble assigning the neutral tho.

Finally somebody who has something to say about the handbrake!! What do you think about the length being a bit longer than the shifter. I had my doubts but considering the short throw you mentioned it might be ok
For me it's perfect. I like just at a glance, I can tell which is which. Longer is better, in my opinion.@@gorraksmashskull

I love my SG Shifter. I have had it for about 2 months. Great build and feel. I can't see wanting anything more.
Yeah it’s really solid. I’ll be using it for my league races and rally events so we’ll see how it performs longer term :)

@@jeffpera7930 I was actually just about to pick that one up, as it's one of the only loadcell handbrakes out there. How do you like it so far?
I have this shifter. It looks great and built well plus it's really easy to mount since it's exactly the width of a piece of profile so you don't need to worry about creating anything for it to bolt too. Only downside is that the shifting mechanism is a bit basic but it gets the job done.

Just a wild guess, but could that "neutral" switch be used for selecting HIgh and Low gears in Euro Truck Sim 2?
I love how this shifter looks, though! Only negative I see on it, is those 2 cables going to that box. Why not try to fix that somewhere in front of the lever and then have a longer USB cable?

Yeah it could be mapped to anything :) and the 2 cables once installed are barely noticeable. So it’s all ok on my rig. Thanks for the great comments!

Really depends what you’re looking for. Consider the Simagic alpha mini and simforge pedals.
How would you compare this to Aiologs shifter?
Love the “clonk” from it! What buttonbox are you using LD?

Can you give your personal opinion between the SG Racing vs Meca? Handbrake and shifter if possible.
I don't have the SG handbrake, but both shifters are nice. I think the SG wins out though.
@@LaurenceDusoswa Is the feeling of shifting into gear somehow significantly better than in the Meca? Would you change the Meca to the SG if you had to pay extra?

Ive looked at these before, was going to buy the combo kit but they dont have an actual webstore which put me off. Also their website is uk based but these come from Bulgaria? That would make them even more expensive with added tax coming to the UK

Mine came in the same box. They are homemade for sure but definitely feels quality and has a good clunk like a real sequential.
The plastic box feels plasticy because it's made from plastic 😂😂
My soft hands didn't like the knurled knob so I got a carbon one for mine.

Yeah there’s a reason I barely use dirt rally for this stuff. You can’t reduce the game volume any more than what I had it at :( stupid. Thanks for the comment though!
@Laurence Dusoswa pleasure. The SG SQ and HB are great products and the dual combo is under 600$ that's a very good deal for that level of gear. You can also get it in any color you want. Enjoy it.

@gorraksmashskull3608 I use the vnm handbrake as it's loadcell. But the SG shifter is so good. When I need H pattern I use my vnm shifter as the SG is SQ only

Laurence you must admit that this one is a bit on the heavy side when shifting.
Absolutely not, the thing with this shifter is that you can tighten big bolts from both sides and it will be lit bit stiifer, but main aspect if you hit hard it feels like mives strongly, but if you hit gently it can perfom in very polite silent maner, you need to try to understand what i mean, very happy with mine!
Not too heavy at all. In it’s default form I find the shift quite satisfying. It is not as heavy as a mechanical shift in a real car. Its definitely not ‘on the heavy side’
I put lighter springs in it but i got the 2020/21 version only way to adjust the spring tightness is by removing M8 washers.
