I think you guys kinda missed the pointed of New Blood.... yes you gain control of a creature and it becomes a Vampire, so now it benefits from things like Lord of Lineage. BUT, remember it says replace all text for "Creature type" with "Vampire"..... example, that Dragon deck has Utvara Hellkite... "Whenever a Dragon you control attacks, put a 6/6 red Dragon creature token with flying on to the battlefield"...... Cast New Blood, taking your Utvara Hellkite, it's a vampire, and now I'm swinging 6 of my Vampires and creating 6 Red flying 6/6 VAMPIRES. That card is EXTREMELY powerful if you take the right creature. By the way, that example, I did that exact thing to my roommates the other night...... murdered EVERYONE the next turn lol.
Timothy Baxley You are not getting enough likes for explaining this. I play with my wofe and best friend in free for all games and they hate this card. It is also nice against non-tribal decks and cards... just a lot better against them. I stole Azami, Lady of Scrolls and was able to tap vampires to refil my hand.
Thanks for having me guys! Not actually a really "spike"y build but had fun thinking about the new cards! Let me know if you guys break the deck though ;D
Xell could you add your mana base to the tapped out profile? Also it has your commander listed as Queen Marchesa. Great deck though. Taking apart my mono black Vamps deck tonight to combine it with Edgar Markov and using your deck as a guide.
Great build! I think I'll go with the lifegain/extort approach though. However, I would put the Panharmonicon rather than/besides Anointed Procession. Not only triggers Edgar twice, but also affects ETB effects 😃
I think it's funny that everyone is saying the eminence abilities are like enchantments that no one can touch. Where as I just think of them as emblems.
old video but someone said that his copies where more limited also because the factory caught on fire. so the card was so powerful it caused hellfire on its makers. but i like adding a few equipment to him because he has firststrike and haste, blackblade reforged he can 1 shot people if its on the field. helm of the host for a crown. turns him into a unstoppable force.
New Blood, is used properly when it is used against someones commander, hopefully krenko or Sliver Overlord. Krenko starts to make 1/1 vampire tokens for all vampires you control. and Sliver Overlord lets you search for a vampire and put it into your hand. The greatness of the card comes from the part that says "Change the text of that creature by replacing all instances of one creature type with Vampire."
Commander "changes zone" when it leaves your control.... simply choose to put it back into your Command zone.... New Blood should never work on a Commander. Ever,.....if owner of said Command knows all the rules for EDH.
yeah.... I corrected myself in another post about the same thing... either the rules i saw before were old or my friend had showed me something that was not official... but I got it now lol
New Blood is very good against the other tribal decks. Steal their Cat lord and replace all instances of Cat with Vampire. Now you have a Vampire lord.
Love seeing new content from you guys. Havnt played magic since 2002 now I'm out of the army and college I plan to startup again. have a few pre-cons, staples, eclipse sleeves and accessories from card kingdom under your shows affeliate code. Thanks bro's
I casted New Blood on the Cat commander and it was OP because you replace ALL INSTANCES of creature type on the card with vampire, this means the cat commander eminence ability now worked on vampires, it s a really powerfull card against tribal decks, imagine vs Slivers getting a sliver and have it buff all your vampires.
doesnt even need to change a creature type that the card is, only something it says on it somewhere. so it might not even become a vampire... i dont have any examples or ideas for that though. my strangest idea with new blood though, is on precursor golem. that would be a spectacular mess
all vamps are indestructible, all vamps get +1/+1 for each other vamp in play, 2: get a 1/1 colorless vamp, all vamps have tap:add one mana of any color...... maybe i just like slivers and should just stick to them, but should try not to play against these new vamps with them
That shouldn't have even happened casting it on a Commander.... your opponent obviously didn't know that ANY time your commander is meant to change zones (including going under another players control) you may choose to put it back into the Command Zone.
This video is very much appreciated! Great job dudes! Edgar is the commander that I'm most excited for, and I have been unsure of which direction to go with. I'm still unsure, but seeing a deck list and hearing thoughts from Josh Kim about Edgar is very helpful. My first thought was to have a +1 counter theme in the deck, but I didn't think that there was enough cards that give multiple creatures +1 counters at a time for it to be worth it. I'll try exploring it though. Even though it doesn't give counters, I'm shocked that Door of Destinies and or Obelisk of Urd Isn't in the deck! The boost that your vampires can get from Door of Destiny is nuts, and Obelisk of Urd you can cast for little mana easily. If you want more card draw I think Mentor of the Meek is a great card to add. It costs little mana, color requirement is only one white, and you can draw a card by paying 1 mana every time that you get a vampire token or cast a weak vampire, which is a lot of them. I'm even more shocked that Oona's Blackguard Isn't in the deck since it goes with both the +1 counter and discard theme.
Has anyone else noticed how Teferi's protection is outrageously powerful? It's all ready saved me multiple times and I've only been using it for a day!
Instead of the outlast creatures I included more evasion on Enchantments, such as Cover of Darkness, Intimidation, Behind the Scenes, and Goblin War Drums. Just an idea, as they don't require +1/+1 counters and are harder to remove than creatures.
There are several mistakes, which is understandable. You guys do a great job, but to clear some things up from memory: Grandpa Munster's eminance works both in the command zone and on the battlefield. I have only played a few games so far, but I have had no problem just casting him and swinging for the fences as soon as I can. He swings for 5 and first strike the turn you play him and if he survives a round, he can start taking down dragons as a 6/6. I had no reservations about casting him and challenging my friends to do something about it. Liliana makes one player sacrifice a creature, not all players or opponents, and I have no idea what you mean when ypu say that you won't draw cards in MARDU. Black rivals blue in card draw. Black costs you life, but it has some cards which are better than what blue has to offer at the same or similar cost. Additionally, there are more choices than we are likely to play because of flavor and deck space. I would keep Ambition's Cost akd add its clone, Ancient Craving. Promise of Power is a flavor fail but always powerful. On the other hand, you can run the weaker but more flavorful Harrowing Journey (or both). I love Moonlight Bargain. It digs 5 cards deep and you only keep and pay for what you want. If you use Crucible of worlds, then dumping land into the yard is the same as drawing it. I don't mind playing this and keeping only one or two card and dumping tue other 3 or 4 and just removing junk from the top of my deck. As we keep going down our list, Night's whisper is easy to cast and who can forget Sign in Blood? Read the Bones and Painful Truths are easy to cast and wonderful 3 drops. We have yet to address Dark Confidant, Bloodgift Demon, Ob Nixilis Reignited, or Graveborn Muse because they are flavor fails, but still quality options. Honestly, if you have a hard time drawing cards, gou are doing it wrong. I have some questions that I will ask in another reply. Thanks for the video. I just wanted to leave that feedback.
New Blood is absurd I've played a few practice games with it, and the things I've stolen include: Atarka World Render: All your vampires gain double strike when they attack. Krenko Mob Boss: Put X 1/1 red Vampire tokens onto the battlefield for each vampire you control. Elvish Archdruid: Other vampires get +1/+1, T: Add G to your mana pool for each vampire you control. Totally nuts haha.
I really want to throw Oketra's Monument into this deck. Double your token generation and make a few of your cards cheaper. Yeah they're warriors and not vampires, but they're still good fodder for all your token abuse. Also, Vigilance is surprisingly good.
New blood is freaking hilarious cus it replace the creature type and other instances of creature with vampire. So other tribal buffs effect vampires now, and krenko makes vampires instead of goblins
The obvious one they missed is sacrifice theme. Put in that skullclamp, some other stuff that does nasty things to your opponent (like the sadist) and just drain them dry with blood artist and falkenrath noble.
HEY ITS THE GUYS FROM /ALL CHAT!! stopped playing league like 2 years ago and recently got back into magic, and who do i find on youtube? none other than my favorite bro JImmy Wong and hes got an awesome podcast, and how here is Josh too, I love it!
I think thata Mana Echoes actually would work pretty well with Inalla, every creature you cast would basically pay their own trigger and net you extra mana with the token, wich could be really useful for Barrin or similar effects.
As someone who has played madness vampires, cards that make everyone discard cards aren't very good. There just aren't enough madness cards to curb the downside for you.
I you are taking the "discard everyone" route maybe you could use the Null Brooch. Also Ill-Gotten Gains seems to fit perfectly on this deck. And if you dont use Fervent Charge on this deck you won't use it ever, bonus if you use additional attack phase spells to get extra triggers from Edgar Markov.
How often are the Game Knights videos? Got to be my favorite so far. So much value of production goes into them, which is why I know there's not more of them, but would love to see more! How often do you guys do them?
You can't cast cards before your draw step unless it's an instant right? Like with Negrogen Mists- I'd I discard a madness vampire can I cast it? Does the Madness ability allow me to play it any time as long as it's being discarded?
I enjoyed listening to your thoughts. Though a deck with so much discard and sacrificing it needs more recursion. Even Bloodline Necromancer from the initial deck would be a good addition.
I've personally adapted my deck to utilize the white vamp token spam from the Ixilan sets along with sacrifcing effects like blasting station, fallen ideal and lunarch mantle to combo token destruction with sangromancer/butcher ofmalakir/grave pact/dictate of erebos/ falkenreath noble and blood artist to cycle the health gain and damage to opponents while making everyone else sacrifice their whole board.
So I played the decks out of the box yesterday (release date in germany). We tried them against each other and they were lots of fun. So I decided to keep playing them agains the pimped decks of my group (they build decks of power levels 5-8, definatly more 8's than 5's) and I managed to hold up and actually win one or two games. So all in all, they're great. The only deck that has consistently problems at doing something is wizards. Either you're lacking mana, creatures or spells. You never have enaugh and end up not using much of anything to do anything. Vampires can run into two problems: No mana, no cardraw. While there are cardraw effects, there are not enaugh especially when it costs life everytime and you don't draw one of the lifelink vampires (or he gets blown up). Dragons: Keep a hand with many lands (3-5) and ramp (at least 1 ramp card) and you're fine. Cats: Actually I didn't play them, others played them and they rocked but I can't tell you what my feelings are about them.
You know how long i have been waiting for this video and it comes out dead fucking last! Love your stuff guys. Hope you get hired by wizards when they buy the format. New phyrexia was an inside job
I would love to see a series of games where each of you play the same tribal but with your own take on the build, so each takes a EDGAR MARKOV commander and runs the build they envision for it. (of course this only works if the builds are different enough).
You guys forgot to mention the "each instance" clause of New Blood. It's really strong against other tribal decks! For instance, if you take the Ur Dragon with New Blood, whenever you attack with your new Ur Dragon, draw a card for each VAMPIRE you control. Elvish champion gives all your VAMPIRES +1/+1 and forestwalk. The card is good. A lot of good creature cards in commander affect creatures of a type.
Yo so Black Market in this deck is actually insane. The amount of tokens this deck produces is huge and almost every turn (in a 4 player pod) you can be gaining 3/6/12/24 etc B mana every pre combat phase. 5 mana for a card that does nothing on entering is brutal but Black Market has been instrumental in every game I've won with the precon straight outta the box. It is disgusting here.
See, people tend to dismiss lifelink, but that's why I include stuff like what you consider 'garbage' like Arguel's Blood Fast. Use your life gain stabilized life total to draw cards. Alhammarret's Archive to boost your lifegain AND boost your card draw. Harsh Lesson (which I have found oddly useful offensively at times when people are trying to hide behind Ensnaring Bridge). Vanquisher's Banner is an absolute must for anything tribal, straight value. Immortal Sun since I run no planeswalkers and it's just so much broad spectrum value.
Altar of the Brood helps with the discard theme that this deck has. I put Obelisk of Urd in my Vamp deck but this deck may not like it as much because it adds +2/+2 instead of 2 +1/+1 counters.
Eric Williams Even those who do not want combos, Exquisite Blood is the better card and should have neen the card that came in the deck. The art is of a vampire and works better with the theme of the deck. You attack with a swarm of vampires and gain life for each one that hits.
I have a question. If you control 2 cards that have "If a creature would die, exile it instead..." effects do both abilities trigger or do you have to choose between them?
I ended up going for a more aggressive vampire utility box than any specific theme like discard or control, though I did put a soft aristocrats theme into it. Some cards that arw secretly dumb powerful because of it, particularly because of eminence, are Malakir Bloodwitch (came in the deck, little obvious), Indulgent Aristocrat, Bloodline Keeper, Voldaren Pariah (that one left hooks people out of nowhere), Kalitas Traitor of Ghet, Yahenni, Blood Artist, Ashnod's Altar, Skull Clamp (in deck, amazingly) and then of course Butcher of Malakir. Some cards I put in as sort of softly powerful utility are Phyrexian Reclamation, Dark Imposter, Necropolis Regent, and all 3 of the dual color Sorens for multitudes of reasons. If you're looking at +1/+1 counters you'll definitely want Necropolis Regent, Rakish Heir, Stensia Masquerade (madness!), Bloodlord of Vaasgoth (in the deck), new Drana, and the Indulgent Aristocrat. Cards that I put in just to be big and stupid are Anowon the Ruin Sage (in deck), Sword of Feast and Famine, Blood Tribute (in deck), Crackling Doom, Necropotence (disappintingly, not in deck, along with Vampiric Tutor...) and then Akroma's memorial. Basically, I took a buddys advice where he told me it might be better to just run a lot of cheap Vampires and just go nuts. *Also...you run mass discard and make to reference to Falkenrath Gorger?! Bruh!......BRUH!!*
"Usually need green or blue for card draw" UHMM black card draw is pretty good last time I checked. I would go with black draw cards before I went to the extreme of discard for card advantage.. imo
Hey, Command Zone! Theres this UA-camr I watch that I think would be a great guy to have on the show. His name is Voidmage Gamer if you ever want to check him out. I like him a lot, and I think he'd be good on this show.
So it seems that the eminence ability is obviously powerful with all of the new commanders. I would suggest getting some Darksteel Mutations if these start to show up in your playgroup.
Hey... no love for Sorin? Gotta include at least one version of him in any vampire deck. My choice will be Sorin, LoI Skull clamp will be awesome in this deck. It really fixes the card draw problem. With so many 1/1sies vampire loitering around, there will be no lacking of creatures to sac. With Sanguine Bond already in the deck, it screams for Exquisite Blood. Playing so many powerful enchantments like Dictate of Erebos, Gave Pact, Cathars' Crusade and Anointed Procession, adding Academy Rector can be a real game changer. If going for creature token route, you gotta play cards like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. If you have accumulated a decent size board, your opponent might need to think twice before casting a board wipe. To make it even more resilient to instant speed removals, include reusable sac outlets like ashnod's altar. If you wanna bring the ebilness up a notch, play creatures that make additional creatures when any of your creatures die like Pawn of Ulamog and Ogre Slumlord. Then synergize it with black Mikaeus, you can start doing your sacking shenanigans (something like Jimmy's Silas Renn in Game Knights episode 3) in response to anything and slowly draining your opponents health with Zulaport Cutthroat. I ran this synergy in my Shattergang Bros deck and lets just say I lose some friends playing it less than a handful of times. Lastly, March of Souls is a surprisingly good board wipe for token decks. Most of the times, your creatures are expendables and less valuable compared to your opponent's. There was a moment when I cast March of Souls with Cathars' Crusade in play. When the dust settled, I had 19 flying 20/20s on the board while my opponents had just a couple of flying 1/1sies.
My playgroup is doing a budget upgrade monthly , so I was expecting something like the other deck upgrades. Good job either way. PD: No teferi's protection?
Maybe if you were able to squeeze in more draw and card selection you could easily play Conspiracy so the all of those outlast creatures become Vamps? Just a thought.
Question about a potential interaction. Could new blood be used on your own non commander(part of the 99) Kaalia of the vast to change either the instance of angel, demon or dragon to "vampire" instead?
klyffjohnson I think that cats are easier too, and I am a big fan of them. But the deck is less competitive and there is a lot of value in vamps with Teferi's protection
Eitan Boskoviz No arguments here in terms of the value of vamps or how awesome Teferi's Protection is. Given the qualifier of "for a new-ish" player, I'd typically recommend cats over vamps, but there's a reason I'll be running vamps in my group tonight.
There was enough good Stuff in the Deck to make add white to Olivia Deck, Edgar can lead now! If you like the counters-matter-theme, I use way more cards with Proliferate!
You won't be able mill someone unless you're committed to milling, but removing options from a player can stop their momentum enough to let you go off. If you've got four cards in hand and you're consistently discarding one or two then you start to feel it.
Hi, brand new to Magic the Gathering. I literally bought this deck just to play the other day at my local shop and I really do like it (Since it's my first deck and all). Now, I have a question or two on this deck and would really appreciate answers: What cards do I swap out for the ones he is using? And how many copies should I Get? I see all the cards he's using, but I'm not sure how many copies he used. Maybe he said it in the video and I didn't notice because i was getting confused, but would really appreciate any help!
I feel like you should get the Animation, but still use the Mouth sound effects for the juxtiposition of this really nice animation of text smashing onto the screen with your hoakey noises.
super late but i'm working on Edgar Aristovamps (forcing myself to not play Zulaport cuthroat). Still pretty swarmy because Edgar is good at that, but also have a lot of sac outlets and Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble (conveniently a lot of good cards were in the Precon for that so I only have to proxy some cards).
Just a thought. So with Olivia added to the deck you can use her ability to turn creatures into vampires on your own creatures so they get the buffs from Markov.

You are not getting enough likes for explaining this.
I play with my wofe and best friend in free for all games and they hate this card.
It is also nice against non-tribal decks and cards... just a lot better against them.
I stole Azami, Lady of Scrolls and was able to tap vampires to refil my hand.
Paul Gaither yes! It's so good! They kinda just brushed it aside in this video. Lol
Must underrated comment on an Mtg video EVER!!
*Immediately puts New Blood into my deck*
I had my kumena stolen. tapping vampires to buff all vampires, draw cards, and make my own commander unblockable against me? disgusting.
5:08 skips the intro
8:35 STATS!
12:08 Some Key Cards
21:12 Cards to Keep
29:42 Cards to Put In
39:15 To The Listeners
43:45 The End Step
Thanks
Josh Kim was an awesome guest here.
Thanks for having me guys! Not actually a really "spike"y build but had fun thinking about the new cards!

Man I remember watching all of the /allchat's
Xell you forget "anafenza, kin tree spirit" in the deck
Loved the D&D sorcerer vs. wizard knowledge dump, lol!
Good to have you by!
Great build! I think I'll go with the lifegain/extort approach though. However, I would put the Panharmonicon rather than/besides Anointed Procession. Not only triggers Edgar twice, but also affects ETB effects 😃

Oloro anyone?
Hi Asakite thats exacly what i was thinking! His the same as thoses but in esper !
I know, I want them to reprint my dear Oloro, foiled, with updated Text. xo
I just personally feel is it more succinct.
Aww yes, and please add some evil flavor text
Edgar Markov was an alchemist looking for immortality for himself and his grandson, sorin.
No channel noticed that coat of arms was reprinted a few months ago in the most recent duel deck mind vs might
They also didnt mention quicksilver amulet for the dragon's deck!
Edgar is so fucking badass he doesn't even need any titles. It's just Edgar fucking Markov.
old video but someone said that his copies where more limited also because the factory caught on fire. so the card was so powerful it caused hellfire on its makers.

Snorana Sliver Overlord. "3: Tutor for a Vampire." *Yes!* "3: Gain control of target......Vampire." *......Almost!*
all vamps are indestructible, all vamps get +1/+1 for each other vamp in play, 2: get a 1/1 colorless vamp, all vamps have tap:add one mana of any color......

Great show. I dig the more casual vibe the three of you created.
Vampires seems sweet!

and straight up NEED Sorin in there.
Lang Galea both are in the deck list actually

Metallic Mimic, doesn't count as 'casting' a Vampire spell, but DOES count as a Vampire entering the battlefield.
There are several mistakes, which is understandable. You guys do a great job, but to clear some things up from memory:
Grandpa Munster's eminance works both in the command zone and on the battlefield. I love the show! My friend showed me thus channel and I can't stop watching! I have learned a lot to make me a better player 👌🏼
Disrupt Decorum is a powerhouse in multiplayer, and Bloodline Keeper are both very powerful in this deck
Campaign of Vengeance sounds like a big load of fun in an Edgar Markov deck. Its on theme with the vampires and it synergizes with all the tokens.
The obvious one they missed is sacrifice theme. Put in that skullclamp, some other stuff that does nasty things to your opponent (like the sadist) and just drain them dry with blood artist and falkenrath noble.
Its kinda in the original deck already though

How often are the Game Knights videos? Got to be my favorite so far. So much value of production goes into them, which is why I know there's not more of them, but would love to see more! How often do you guys do them?
Once a month

Just like a woman
You can't cast cards before your draw step unless it's an instant right? Like with Negrogen Mists- I'd I discard a madness vampire can I cast it? Does the Madness ability allow me to play it any time as long as it's being discarded?
Yes, madness ignores timing restrictions :)
I enjoyed listening to your thoughts. Though a deck with so much discard and sacrificing it needs more recursion. Even Bloodline Necromancer from the initial deck would be a good addition.
Olivia isn't just in the flavor text, that's her on the card art for New Blood. Look at her neck piece and then look at her card art at 26:37.
Vampires are always "Sorin"
BegottenHippo3 go home son, for the mission is complete. U did it!
Are you guys still gonna do a breakdown of the Vampire deck out of the box?
Ken Johnson Wizards owns "Commander." They just don't run it and they don't own EDH
About time... took y'all forever to get these out.
Did anyone else notice how the decklist link doesn't have Edgar as the commander?
Altar of the Brood helps with the discard theme that this deck has. I put Obelisk of Urd in my Vamp deck but this deck may not like it as much because it adds +2/+2 instead of 2 +1/+1 counters.
Yay the last of the C17 deck videos is up!
I'm definitely adding exquisite blood. I believe there's a sanguine bond in there already and I love infinite combos.
Eric Williams
Even those who do not want combos, Exquisite Blood is the better card and should have neen the card that came in the deck. The art is of a vampire and works better with the theme of the deck.
You attack with a swarm of vampires and gain life for each one that hits.
Got my deck this morning, already working on making it a Mardu wide curse hug deck
I have a question. If you control 2 cards that have "If a creature would die, exile it instead..." effects do both abilities trigger or do you have to choose between them?
Also for Josh Kim, Isamaru, Hound of Konda. Totes a Dog Commander.
BRUH!!!
i like fling effects with the fast growing vampires. Chandras ignition is great
Sorin, lord of inninstrad would be pretty decent in the deck, imagine all the 1/1’s with lifelink
Eldrazi monument for the deck is very good.
Just finished my wizard build, looking forward to testing.
YESS DOTA 2 REPRESENT! Love this video and Josh guesting.
Out of the box, the precons are actually pretty decent which is nice.
So it seems that the eminence ability is obviously powerful with all of the new commanders. I would suggest getting some Darksteel Mutations if these start to show up in your playgroup.
I would say that saying STATS has charm, specially when listening without watching the video
Hey... no love for Sorin? Gotta include at least one version of him in any vampire deck. My choice will be Sorin, LoI
Skull clamp will be awesome in this deck.
Roar of the Crowd can be fun. Not ideal all the time but it can be fun. Slam it when an opponent is low enough or just blow a threat up.
My playgroup is doing a budget upgrade monthly , so I was expecting something like the other deck upgrades.
Good job either way.
PD: No teferi's protection?
Darn you guys didn't do a cards to remove segment! That's what I'm struggling with the most on this deck out of the 4
ehhhh, you had me for a sec.. lol... I like when you have that dude!!! (Josh Kim)
Yesss the vampires are awsome
also great vid
:)
No bloodline keeper?
I definitely put it in mine. I picked one up right when they announced the vampire deck because as of right now its price is skyrocketing.
Altair Struts definitely missed that somehow. Card is amazing and should be in every vampire deck
Altair Struts I was coming to post this. You could transform him right away if you play it right.
Vampiric rites, play vampires and sac the tokens to draw cards. Also viscera seer to smooth out your draw.
Just looked at the decklist in the description and Edgar was removed from the deck completely....seems stupid to me.
Here is a question:
How good are the mass pump cards for this deck?
Bad Moon
Obelisk of Urd
Dictate of Erebos
Ascendant Evincar
That kind of stuff?
Maybe if you were able to squeeze in more draw and card selection you could easily play Conspiracy so the all of those outlast creatures become Vamps? Just a thought.
Could you guys use the scorpion god and the locust and scarab god and someone else in game knights
If you are going for a discard theme, then you should run Falkenrath Gorger, who gives all of your vampires madness.
Question about a potential interaction. Could new blood be used on your own non commander(part of the 99) Kaalia of the vast to change either the instance of angel, demon or dragon to "vampire" instead?
Sadistic hypnotist seems like alot of fun!
Vampire deck is probably my 2nd pick after Dragons. Both are just so good and look like a lot of fun.
Cats or vampires for a new-ish player?
yea, they are friendly for new players and are easy to play , although the vampire deck is better. big fan of cats tho
a skinny white male tries shitposting build jund slugs.
For a newish player, cats over vamps. Less colors, and the strategy is just more straightforward.
Personally, I love vamps more.
klyffjohnson I think that cats are easier too, and I am a big fan of them.
Saving the best tribe this year for last. I see what you did there.
Yay! New episode in time for the c17 release.
Coat of arms was in the most recent duel deck
Discard just doesnt strike me as an acceptable replacement for card draw. 100 card deck and all
QuietMyth Yeah unless you're wheeling, it's not card draw. It can be card advantage if your cards do things even when discarded though.
QuietMyth agreed. I thought it was cute because discard is a very "vampire" mechanic
Xell, it's definitely a thematically appropriate call, methinks.
Now, I have a question or two on this deck and would really appreciate answers:
What cards do I swap out for the ones he is using?
And how many copies should I Get?
I see all the cards he's using, but I'm not sure how many copies he used. Maybe he said it in the video and I didn't notice because i was getting confused, but would really appreciate any help!
In a commander deck, you only have 1 copy of each card - basics.
Just bought the vampire deck I can't wait to play it!
I think Dolmen Gate would be a nice add to keep attacking without losing creatures and get life from the lifelink-tokens.
@52:27 "see you guys in 2019"
Alright here we are, what's happening?
Is there a place to get the whole decklist?
Got a half hour before the lgs opens to go get this one.
ixalan is going to give edgar makov alot of ammo
10232decid37 mavren and sanctum seeker are sweet.
if u take the ur dragon with new blood, the vampire ur dragon trigger the ability when attack for each vampire?
Wait, so will you make an episode about the regular vampire deck?
If you are trying to go tue discard route, you really should use Geth's Grimoire (and Words of Waste).
I like these new HD cameras
Just a thought. So with Olivia added to the deck you can use her ability to turn creatures into vampires on your own creatures so they get the buffs from Markov.
