MOMO HURT HER NECK! 😭 Slipped Disc Recovery Vlog / Conservative Treatment / No Surgery / Chihuahua

- I've been so worried about Momo!
I wanted to share our experience with slipped disc, if it could bring some hope and maybe slightly calm down someone else's nerves. It's going to be okay, just be patient!
For Momo, it took approximately one month to recover with conservative treatment but after two months, we're still taking things easier than before.
Our vet recommended us to try conservative treatment since Momo had only pain and no signs of neurological issues like dragging her legs, paralysation, etc.

Oh no, poor Momo. I'm very sorry she had to go through that. So glad she is recovered by now, but only watching her suffer makes me sad. No dog should have to suffer. Be safe you guys.

Fingers are crossed for further speedy recovery 🍀. My 14 year chihuahua has problems with his knee caps every now and then. I think it is quite common for small breeds to experience this. His pain meds and some physio therapy always help him through the worst. Due to his age the vet won't operate on our little companion. Best wishes from Germany.

Hi, thank you for your comment and kind words❣ To my knowledge, old age is a huge factor with disc problems, but it doesn't seem to be as common with Chihuahuas as it is with some other breeds (like Dachshunds). Jumping to/from the couch/bed/other high places and climbing the stairs is not good, especially for older dogs, that might cause a slipped disc along with other problems. I hope your little ones will be happy and healthy!💖

Poor little... Get well soon! such things can happend? My chihuahua is aftter nasal kennel cough vaccine... He sneeze a lot... Good health to you and hello from Slovakia! :) I like your videos a lot. PS: Do you chihuahuas reverse sneezing?? How it is? How often, what you do? Im learning to deal with it, my boy too... after that vaccine its horrible...
Thank you for your comment❣ Yes, my dogs do reverse sneeze sometimes, especially if they are sleepy/sleeping and suddenly get excited. Momo does it nearly daily, Sora not that often. I used to try to help them when the sneezing comes, but eventually I found out it's better to just let them deal with it by themselves, it goes away quickly! I just keep the situation calm and give them some space in those situations. ☺ I hope your little one will get better soon❤🩹

Aww poor Momo! My pup when he was 9 months old stole a chapatti from me and was violently I’ll shaking and throwing up for days. He had to have pain meds and an anti sickness jab xx

Stop giving your beautiful dogs kibble, that's making inflammation worse. Give them a semi-raw diet please, or slightly cooked meats, turkey, chicken, eggs, and carrots that will help so much more with the inflammation, and your chihuahuas will live a longer life 😊
I wouldn’t walk dogs that close to traffic.
