@@Darolix well unfortunately im still using the nvision 🤣🤣, still rocking, altho theres a small screen tear showing up now after i accidentally hit it with a mug, but its fine tho, size of a coin nothing to worry about, for the lenovo monitor, i dont know i havent bought it yet still, but my brother in law has it and its fcking really good you can clearly see the diff in color, motion, and vibrant

damn 3 years warranty for this monitor jeezz Lenovo G24-20 1080p 165hz, AOC 24g2spu, Gigabyte G24F and acer vg240y it's hard to decide which would i want to get
they'll have very identical screens so warranty and price should be a good benchmark
I am using a vga display PC so I bouhght a vgatohdmi converter. It worked on my old asus monitor but it won't on this new one. The display was on and then it turned off and on again. Not sure why but when I use the monitor as a second screen for my laptop, it works perfectly fine.
Great review bro. I have a question to ask. I can't find the black to white and gtg ms times for this monitor anywhere. Do you know these specs?
They actually don't disclose it. The G25 I know states 1ms, for this one I'm not really sure. I assume its fast enough but yes, its hard to find official numbers on it.

@Adil Khan I dont know for HDMI i just using Display Port cable but someone said, HDMI is can't support 144 hz up i think 120 or down i hope this help you.

Best Budget Monitor for gamers that has inbuilt AMD freesync and also compatible with Nvidia Gysnc
Almost anything with Freesync will be Gsync Compatible but true Gsync is reserved for super high end. If you're into budget monitors check out ASUS VG and Lenovo G25 models.
Would you recommend this over the Acer Nitro VG240Y Sbmiipx?
they are pretty much the same panel so i would go with either the cheaper one or the one who has excellent support, which in the Philippines' case is Lenovo

This monitor is on the nvidia compatible list, but this feature is not specified in any of the sites where it is sold, is it true? If true, isn't it an incredibly cheap monitor under these conditions?

wait how is it only 250 nits? did you check your settings before you did the test cause its advertised as 350 nits and another reviewer claimed it was slightly brighter than his 400 nit monitor, i dont know who to trust now great.
thanks for reminding, i revisited this after to confirm and i believe there was a setting that limited max brightness. i can confirm it does go up to around 400 nits

Buy a cheap monitor if your GPU is THAT. 165hz monitor will be a waste of use and money with that GPU

you're on HDMI from the laptop? verify if the cable and laptop itself is capable of HDMI2.0

Hi, I'd like to ask: Does this monitor support LFC? I will be using this monitor on my old pc which can only go up to 60hz and I was wondering if I'll have no trouble doing so.
Freesync should be able to make at least 40FPS look smooth but anything lower, I am not really sure it has tech for that besdies besides freesync if I'm understanding you correctly. You should be able to run this at 100Hz+ on HDMI if you have a 5 year old system but if you meant something on VGA, that I am not certain.
@@Back2gaming I'll be using HDMI and thank you for replying 🙏. I was just cautious since the Acer Nitro VG240Y (similar in price range as this monitor) doesn't support LFC thus causing stutters and flickers.

@@sokoman8261 i can't guarantee you can get 144hz+ on HDMI, but any HDMI2.0 graphics card should be able to work with that. I think the VG240Y is the same panel as this one, so it should also be Freesync but specs says the brightness is 100nits lower on the Acer so I'd still go with the Lenovo.

Hi, I've just purchased this monitor and I'm using with a PS5 but in the monitor settings I seem to be stuck at 60hz? I'm pretty sure I'm using the HDMI that was supplied with the ps5 too. Any ideas on what to change to sort this or is this model not compatible with PS5?
I actually am not sure if this will work with 120hz on PS5. I know the PS5 will support 120hz on HDMI2.0 on some 1080p monitor but I have not seen it in person. I still have this monitor, I will check to see with my PS5 over the weekend. For now, I'm really not sure sorry

I have a question. I bought this model, but with the VA panel and 100hz, and sometimes in games when I get a little stuck I have flickering pixels. Can it do that to me because my pc doesn't take me to 100hz?
Your monitor will stay at 100hz when you till it to, your FPS on the other hand is a different matter but I can't imagine the flickering you're trying to describe. Can you describe it more in detail?
@@Back2gaming sometimes when I play, pixels of all colors (that is, white, red, green, etc.) appear on a line of the monitor for a second, but this only happens when I have a drop frame (from what I noticed).

@@Back2gaming vega 11, but i don't think my gpu have a problem, because i tried more games and i didn't have this problem (i was having the problem just in dark souls 2 and sometimes in cs go)
Gigabyte g24f 2 or lenevo g24-20? Which one would be good for gaming?
pretty much the same, i prefer the lenovo because of the stand but depending on how good support is in your area. This sample is now defective but still 1 year more in the warranty and they will replace it.
Gigabyte also has decent support here but Lenovo's stand is the big plus for me.

That would depend on how stable your desk would be. If you have a light desk that rattles when typing, as this is a light monitor, there may be some wobbling but your table has to be really light or unbalanced for that to happen. It is quite stable as the base is wide.

Technically it does, but very poorly. Not even DisplayHDR rated.

I just bought this monitor and has a bit of micro flickering when playing valorant, i have it at level 1, HDR on, freesync on and 165 hz refresh rate 1280x960 reso. I am also using display port for it. What do you think is the issue that I have?
try disabling HDR, i'd start there. lemme know how that goes
@@Back2gaming oh okay ill check it, my problem with HDR off is that the colors in the monitor are so dull. Should I use Nvidia control panel to calibrate it?
@@Andrew-kv3xh that's actually the reverse of the results you should get. disabling HDR in windows will be the normal colors and enabling it will make a lot of the colors grey. you can try resetting the monitor settings just to be sure no OSD setting is messing anythjing up

Yes, but modern games on a 1050ti will not run at 165hz at 1080p but its fine.
Will It shorten the lifespan of the monitor if we use it on 165hz Full-Time?

Not really. Its meant to be used in 165hz mode. I have 360hz monitors that have not been shutdown since they came in and still working fine

Is 144hz to 165hz possible over the HDMI 2.0 port included? Kinda made the wrong choice of going for a laptop that doesn't have a displayport out.
not in all instances but if your cable and your gpu supports it, it might just work

I am confused in between 1080p or 1440p monitor ..
1080p will give more fps but 1440p will give best visuals. what if i set my game resolution to 1080p on a 1440p monitor . will it be blur

1080p is the common resolution for Monitors, 1440p is equivalent to 2K monitors and 4K is 2160.
1080p Monitors, gives the best FPS because the hardware don't rely much on the quality of the game.
If you go for 1440p (2K) or 2160 (4K) Monitors, you get the best quality but you won't get high frame rates.
If your sole purpose is to get good quality on games get a 1440p or higher monitor.
But if you want to go for that Competitive FPS feels go for 1080p monitors.
But do remember that higher resolution monitors are more expensive than 1080p Monitor.
Would recommended this over the aoc 24g2?
24g2 is nearly 3 years old at this point, if its not less than $180 in your area, its not worth the same as this monitor

never had any benq product come by so i can't comment on the benq., if they are both 24" 165hz, good chance they're both the same panel so price or looks should be your main deciding factor

I haven't tested it so I can't confirm although if its 1080p120, there is a good chance it might

Does this come with HDR?
I vaguely recall it does (the lowest one) but its not worth enabling in most cases. This may depend on which region you get it

I would just because the ASUS monitor is usually sold for less in most cases but if prices are close, i'd get lenovo just for the better warranty
