  • We designed and produced the "Madrid-Galicia: So Far, So Close" exhibition, initially intended as a temporary project, showcasing the challenges overcome to complete the final section of the Galicia High-Speed Rail Line. The exhibition used innovative techniques to create an impactful, experiential visit. It featured a remarkable exhibition space that combined real exhibits, digitalization, a dedicated website, and constant interaction with the public. This comprehensive approach turned the exhibition into an "emotional concept," blending physical, interior, exterior, and digital elements. The narrative was crafted with engaging illustrative resources to ensure the message reached all audiences.
The first challenge was to collect, process, and structure the vast amount of information from the 16-year-long construction of the new AVE line in Galicia, one of the world's most significant engineering feats in recent decades. This information needed to be accessible to both technical experts and the general public. Additionally, the design had to be aesthetically appealing while creating a welcoming environment.
The second challenge was to highlight the achievement of constructing this new line through 126 km of tunnels and viaducts, emphasizing the difficulty posed by the region’s rugged terrain. This feat not only represents a major engineering milestone but also serves as a key driver for tourism and socioeconomic development in the area.
The exhibition's overwhelming success led to its transformation from an initially temporary exhibit into an itinerant roadshow and eventually a permanent installation at the Madrid Railway Museum, with its opening scheduled for 2023. This transition required the exhibition to be adaptable across different locations while maintaining coherence and maximizing the reuse of materials and exhibits.
The exhibition attracted over 10,000 visitors, solidifying its impact and ensuring its legacy as a significant cultural and educational experience.
