I GMed this when it came out in 1985 or so and still fondly remember this. FASA's best 3 adventures were: Termination 1456, A Doomsday Like Any Other, and Margin of Profit. Best Supplement: The Triangle.
The other two adventures I'm not familiar with, but will search them out, but totally agree on The Triangle being not only the best supplement for Star Trek, but one of the most memorable I've ever read.
@@RPGGamer Margin of Profit is a sentimental one for me as it was the first RPG session I've ever GMed, so I may be biased. Termination 1456 is an assassination mission of a rogue Klingon "Thought-Admiral." The Triangle, as you said, was the best and most memorable. I've milked that supplement for 5 years and cheered when in an episode of TNG, Picard mentioned some Andorian pirates in the "Triangular Sector."
Regardless of continuity, the cove is a gorgeous painting by David R. Deitrick. He & his wife made uniforms to wear as photo-references for this piece.
Absolutely, this and the other FASA trek covers were lovely. I adore the way this one wraps round, working as two separate images for the front and back cover, while also being one continuous image. Just makes me wonder if they revised the adventure at the last moment to change the ship class.
Glad you liked it, sadly most of my Star Trek collection has gone over the years and I've very few books left, but I might cover digital copies in the future instead as they were absolutely brilliant.
Fun concept for an adventure, at least! I like how they put in a few rival factions to deal with. (Tangential - have you ever read Peter David's TNG novel Vendetta? It deals with a Doomsday machine. Good stuff if overruled in some respects by later canon episodes.)
I have indeed read Vendetta, great book. And while looking back it did seem a bit of fan service, there was so much in the book I enjoyed (the new Ferengi Locutus was really interesting).
@@RPGGamer Thank you, i wish the FASA starship tabletop game was still relevant.... It was so good and i'm desperate too find something on PC that will fill that gap.

Really enjoyed this run down of this fasa star trek RP! There were so many! I hope you do more!

Does anyone know of any PC games that are like the 80s star trek FASA ship to ship table top game?
I wish people still played it
I seem to remember the Star Trek: Starfleet Command being based on the Starfleet Battles tabletop game, but that's as close as I know of.
