Yeri was so young when she was a trainee and Irene has said several times that she was like a baby to her. Irene really looked after Yeri, making her lunch and ironing her clothes. She looks after all the members but she especially takes care of Yeri. The way Irene looks at Yeri is the cutest thing, truly like a doting proud mother. There are leaders, and then there's Irene. She is truly the mother of the group. Many leaders are very good leaders. They look out for their members and put them in line. But Irene is truly truly the mother. She's also proud and caring and loving in the way she knows how to be. Seriously the best leader.
Irene 100% the mom. Everything she does is for the girls. Wendy is also 100% the dad lol Joy enjoys being the daughter of both and Seulgi is the older sister to Yeri that made sure she got to be a kid when she was still in school and doing group activities.
