I saw him racing down that hill in the early 80's. Nothing but RESPECT for him. MR.Brooker. Thank you for those beautiful memories. ❤😊

Read.. Posborsky.. Podborsky... Brooker... Crazy Canucks four years in a row! 80, 81, 82, and 83. Hats off to Brian Stemmel... Very emotional for him making the call for the CBC during Crawford and Cameron race.. Brian is a Champion too!

I was very lucky to Grow up in the Era of all the original Crazy Canucks in Alpine Skiing. 4 then 5 ordinary guys .. Then more guys and more girls then more and still more now what a ski team! . So proud! Thanks ski Canada for the pick up. In a country that's in a bit of a rough patch and a world a bit off center it was sure nice to watch an amazing athlete go for broke and leave it all out there and come out on top. It's inspiring and.. Thanks! We needed that!

t the Londoner in 1983 and it truly was a crazy night with the Crazy Canucks. The Londonerstayed open until about 3 AM. Sadly Rick the owner passed away about 6 years ago. He was a great guy.

I know that not everyone gets to win this but let's continue the momentum... and win more! Can't be one and done no matter how great the win is. We see that in so many sports so fingers cross for continued success aka more victories!

As an 8 year old, I would wake up in my fire retardant Incredible Hulk PJ's, click into my K2 Stingers and ski every corner and bump with him while perched in front of the TV...the CC's were (and still are) my heros!

Fantastic, amazing result for Crawford and Alexander, truly. Now if my memory serves me correctly, I believe another Canadian actually won Kitzbuhel... twice in fact, and this Canadian skier also became the only North American male to ever win a seasons downhill title, and he also one more downhill races than the formidable Read and Brooker. Can anyone help me with this guys name? Unsurprisingly, the CBC doesn't remember this even happened... anyone know his name?

Steve Podborski won Kitzbuhel in 81 & 82, the years between Read and Brooker!! Also won Bronze in DH at the 1980 Olympics.

    Miss that Kokanee beer.
