- I wanted to share a really dark song again for a change, it's from my album Darkness Eternal. I'm actually working on a couple of new ones in this style right now, Dark Fantasy generally but less ambient than this one. A bit more fast-paced. Anyway, I hope I can show them to you soon!

I’m posting the usage rights and important information about my music right here in a comment on every new video so that they’re easily accessible to everyone. =)
USAGE:
If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =)
On UA-cam and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way!
ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required.
If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except UA-cam and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed.
Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects.
Please note that "for free" only applies to the usage license. Music is my full-time job and is where 100% of my earnings come from. So no matter what you use my music for, whether it's commercial or non-commercial use, I appreciate that you purchase the music instead of downloading it for free. Many people misunderstand this part so I need to clear this up. I love making music, but if everyone would just get it for free I would not be able to pay rent, so please understand. It was always my dream to make enough money to survive with music being my only job, and that is only possible because of people who go and buy that music.
Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion).
So if your project is non-commercial or a UA-cam project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal.

Quick question. Say i'm writing a book trillogy, and want to make accompanying audio books. Would i have to buy the same piece of music once, or three times?
No, the way this type of thing works is that you buy the music and then we need to make a license contract together because you will (presumably) earn money with the audio books where you use my songs.
I could see this as the introduction theme to a villain.

God, Adrian never fails to deliver; this song was PERFECT for my DND campaign.
Let me set the scene: This music just happened to drop while I was in the middle of a DnD session. One of my players, a cleric, tried to magically contact a bad guy, the Apostle of the Death King, just for shits and giggles.
He sent a message that went something like "Hey bitch, guess who's still alive! You couldn't even kill me". I was like "cool! Not long after, you get a response".
I went to look for some somber music to play for this bad guy, and I noticed this track had just dropped; I had no idea what it sounded like but I knew Adrian never fails to deliver.
My players were all laughing at their trolling of the Apostle, but as soon as I started playing this, I IMMEDIATELY saw their expressions change like "oh, we may have fucked up".
Long story short, I know of few artists who can immediately make DND players tremble in fear with a few notes.

The tone and atmosphere of your songs these days have much more range than I remember your earlier songs having. Sinister and dark, or bright and hopeful, you can bring any emotion to light with your music depending upon what piece you decide to compose!

I'll play this music when my heroes encounter the Vampiric Bishop in my DnD campaign. They will witness him summoning zombies and his acolytes will be summoning dark feral beasts with glowing yellow eyes.

@@AdrianvonZiegler Nintendo is producing it in collaboration with Sony and directed by Wes Ball with a screenplay by Derek Connolly. I see a lot of great choices for composers for the film like John Powell and Brian Tyler. But a lot of your music gives me Zelda vibes. Especially this track here.
This is good for a short story of a dark Lord lying in wait for new souls to be taken to his domain. He lie In wait as the humans walked by and when he sensed their presence, the dark Lord would snatch their souls and claim them for himself to become more powerful and rule his kingdom of darkness and chaos and he calls himself Lord Troykemore(Troy-Kay-More) The sorcerer of darkness. This sounds really good! Kind of sounds like a scene from a DND campaign when the characters see the main bad guy for the first time, and they are a low level. Do you still allow certain songs to still be used for free as long as credit is given, like your pinned comment on some of your other videos say, or have you moved away from that? I don't like this one as much. Maybe I'm not in the mood for dark and dramatic right now. I think it's needed tho. If I had to background the entrance of a dramatic character, even maybe a very powerful good guy, I could see this song working for me. Love your stuff.
