My Mum's Dad used to make his chili and/or stew like a fridge Cleanout project and then he topped it with biscuits to finish it off. Best chili I have ever eaten (the day I helped when I was 7 or 8). The fork trick will find a hidden hard core if it's not cooked in the center. Heather xo

If it makes you feel any better Bonnie, Mr 2.5 found his sisters scissors and I came out from the shower to him singing "cut cut cut cut cuuuuuuut" and yep, he was cutting my curtains. 😱 I thought hubby was supervising but he had fallen asleep on the couch because he was sick and this kid literally made good use of the 4 minutes I was in the shower. 😩 Big hugs from my family to yours from Melbourne, Australia xx

Jane Forst luckily they were the sheer curtains and not the heavy block outs! My husband now knows how quickly things can happen! And boys are so different to girls! My daughter never did half the things my son does. I am learning very quickly 😊
I thought for sure they'd be going to Disneyland since they've had many vlogs relating to going to Disneyland. The other day she told Olivia to focus on the first goal of Disneyland.... now snorkeling equipment?! Hahaha. Maybe going to the beach in California? Maybe Hawaii and Disneyland?! Lucky! A beach sounds so nice wherever it is!

I wash them and pat dry, then I poke a few holes in them, then I put olive oil all over them and then a tiny bit of sea salt. Then I bake them in the oven. The skins come out crispy and then inside is soft and fluffy. They are so good that way!!
Time for a smartphone Mr Joel? 😉 There's something calming about seeing the kids all in their PJs ready for bed. Is it bedtime yet? Haha! That dinner looks scrumptious! I don't bake my potatoes in foil, I wash them, slice very slightly around the edge all the way around, & pop them in the oven to cook slowly - dependent on size really. If I was cooking the size you had, probably around 2 or so hours. It crisps the skins up lovely (I hear rubbing them in a little oil crisps them up too but haven't tried that). If I want to check they're done I just part one in half & prod it - or I do it your way & squish! Laura x
I think my kids are abnormal, none of my 4 kids, nor my 2 grandkids have ever colored on walls, or furniture. We always had markers, crayons, chalk, paint and colored pencils available too. In fact we did "projects" daily. Maybe that's why, from infancy they had crayons in their hands and the only got paper to color on, so I guess it just made sense to them that they were only allowed to color on paper. It's not just Lincoln, I see so many vloggers who's kids have colored all over the walls, J House Vlogs had a huge mural little Miss Laura drew. I appears to be a right of passage for the little ones to make their mark on their little world. We squeeze the potatoes and if they were soft they were done.
If you haven't already gotten the crayon off of your wall I would recommend using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! I work at a nursery and that thing works wonders!
I have tried mr clean magic eraser and it works I have also seen using a blow dryer for like a few seconds and than it just wipes off but I have not tried that one yet.
Bonnie, you can use two layers of paper towels and iron over the crayons to get it of the wall :) at least I think that's what my mom did when I was a kid :)

Put a little hair spray on a paper towel and wipe it on the crayon on the wall it should come off without taking the paint off or you can use furniture polish that works too hope this helps xxx
Bonnie, use your hair dryer on the crayon on the wall, I saw it on FB! Blow your hair dryer on the spot of crayon and then take washcloth and wipe off! I hope it works, it is a hack with your hair dryer! I hope this helps!!!

Hey Bonnie. I just saw a hairdryer hack on facebook that you should try on the crayon on your wall. You blow the hairdryer on the crayon to melt it and then wipe it off the wall with a wet washcloth. Google it first and then maybe give it a try. :)
