I`ve been considering getting a wheel for my birthday in a couple of months (though something fairly entry level, I`m not looking to break the bank, nor do I intend to do competative racing), so this video is quite fortunate in it`s timing, and the wheel itself is interesting, with the thing that grabbed my attention being compatibility with both xbox and ps4 (I bought a 2nd ps4 when GT7 released, and don`t intend to upgrade to a ps5, so fine by me) With that said, while the compatibility is vary alluring, and the price compelling, the lack of propor FFB is kind of a deal breaker, tbh... I`ll have to look at the reviews for the big brother of this thing to see what they`re like, and consider them vs a thrustmaster or logitech wheel (though I`ve been leaning towards thrustmaster, since their hybrid drive is apparantly quiter and smoother than logitech`s grear driven wheels)
I think FFB is helpful but not necessarily essential. I have various Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels, smoothness is one for the latter and I think the upgrade path for Thrustmaster at the lower and mid-range is more tempting but the G923 is a great starting point too. Or even the FFB PXN wheels. It really depends on your preferences, prices in your region and whether you plan to upgrade.
Price compared other budget wheels is a key factor. I think if the Gen2 is cheap enough, it is worth considering. But if a force feedback wheel is a similar price, then maybe forgoing the shifter or third pedal might make sense if you value feedback over immersion.
Hello all! This is my in-depth and hopefully useful PXN V9 Gen2 review. You can buy it from here: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D46HMHPR
Very underrated driving YT channel, keep up the good work champ!

Thanks for review planning to buy it
No worries.

Trying to get into sim racing
It's good fun, worth having a go.
my shifter doesnt work for games like forza or beamng drive, any idea why?
Is it possible to use the shifter in snowrunner? Like for auto or the low gears.
I seem to remember you can for low gears but not for specific auto gears.
I never used a wheel before, would u prefer me to buy this One?

Gen 1 is still perfectly fine for forza 5 and snowrunner
Glad to hear it!
I have bought v9 gen2 but my reverse gear didn't work in ets 2 I tried to first push down but didn't work can any one help me with this problem
I seem to remember it took a few attempts to map the button as not all games instantly recognise the push down reverse gear.
Reverse doesn't work on my Logitech shifter, but I don't need it as the reverse on the trucks I drive are in the 1st gear
Any news for snowrunner season 15??
When I can film it, yes. Coming soon!
Do you play snow runner on steam or on Xbox
Epic (because original platform and PTS access) and Xbox. Mostly PC these days.
Forza Horizon 4 on Steam is not working with this wheelbase?
Odd, it should be fine though I was using FH5 for this video. Maybe need to tweak some settings?
@@ATribeCalledCars please test the pd hm pedal too, to pxn v99 wheel base
