- Hi Everybody! Wanting to share with you all the details about the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas!
( Not to be confused with the Riu Palace Baja California - Adults Only, it was our first choice but it was completely full by the time we tried to book)
We were unsure on which hotel to choose when planning our trip so I hope this helps you decide if you're still looking for the best option.
This is my first mini travel vlog and review. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to travel and make more of these. If you have any suggestions on how to make these better vlog & reviews let me know in the comment section!
*June 1st 2021 UPDATE on the Covid Testing at the Riu : I called and asked costs. Lady who answered the phone in reception said the tests are included 1 per guest travelling back to the US. When you arrive and check in they'll give you an appointment for it to be done in time for your flight back.

Uber IS available. You can use same app as in the states. But you do have to walk across the street from the airport to the OXXO STORE

How was the room service? We stayed at Santa Fe and it was good but we missed the pampering we've grown accustomed to at other resorts. We knew going in is was a budget resort and think it's worth every penny. Buut we wanted to try Baja or palace this time and can't find much about the room service which is a perk we enjoy. Thank you for your time and insight.
Hi there! We visited in May 2021 and they Didn’t have room service because of the pandemic 🤦🏻♀️ not sure if that’s changed by now.
I do know that if you’re looking for a more of a party and adult vibe you should try the Baja California ☺️

I have been looking at coming to this resort for awhile now. Since you cannot swim in the ocean can you tell me
if the pools are relatively warm or are they very cold. What time of year did you go? Looks like you had good
weather. The food looks really good here. It is a very beautiful resort. You liked it alot?
Hi! I visited in May and the pool was a good temperature. I hate cold water so it was nice to enjoy the pool without feeling cold 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience. How does the alcohol work on this property. Since its all inclusive, its only certain brands they carry and is included? Anything outside of that do they charge you for?

Are you allowed to swim in the ocean? Looks like most places I'm looking into has swimming off limits at the beach due to the strong current/waves.
Hi! No , you would have to go over to Medano beach . The ocean in front of this hotel is also pretty agressive.

Hello! Did you guys have trouble paying at check in? Did the price fluctuate because of the currency?
We just went to RUI Santa fee next door, and it was terrible we didn’t eat pretty much all week. Food was disgusting , and from the looks of it the food looks the same as to what Santa fee serves. How did you like the food
Hi there! It definitely had hits and misses , especially at the buffet but we didn’t find anything impossible to eat, the restaurants were good for an all inclusive. Thanks for watching and the feedback on the Santa Fe !
Do we still have to pay additional to dine in one of those restaurants?
Hi there! No additional payment is requieres. The all inclusive includes dining at these restaurants as well.
The beach looks amazing . Was it too rough for people to get in? I noticed nobody enjoying the water.
Hi there! Yes, the water was pretty rough and it’s not recommended to swim in front of the hotel 😥
Thank you for this video!! Super helpful as we'll be down there in about 4 weeks! I was thinking about bringing my tumbler down to keep my beverage cold or mixing my own drink from my room and walking down to the pool, but it doesn't seem like there are people using their own containers??
Hi there! I didn’t see anybody carrying their own tumblers either but I don’t think there should be a problem…. If there was it could be because of Covid maybe.?
Just got back yesterday. Stayed at Riu Santa Fe which is next door to the Palace. Overall nice experience. The next time I would stay in town and skip the all inclusive. Super fun!

My son and fiance are having their wedding there next year. What is all included when you stay at that resort?
Hi! All inclusive means room with all food, drinks, alcohol , snacks etc are included as well as access to pool and direct access to the beach. For exclusive events and I would suggest reaching out to the hotel directly, perhaps they have better pricing contracting directly ☺️ congrats to your Son and Fiancé ☺️❤️

Hi there! When we stayed there they didn’t have reservations but they suggest arriving at about 6:30 so you’ll get on the waiting list and be seated around 7:30 ish especially with Medano steakhouse, it’s the most popular one. Thank you for watching 🤩

Great job on the review! We're thinking about going over the Christmas holidays with two teenage boys that are playing sports and wanted a gym with free weights. Not sure if you saw the gym or not, but the only picture on the hotel website shows a small room with a few aerobic machines. Just wondering if you can add any other details? Thanks!

Hi! We stayed at the riu palace which is a different one but I would assume there are similarities. We did not pay anything extra , all types of alcohol were included ☺️ we did tip the waiters to keep them coming, but that is optional

Hi there! They were part of the all inclusive! The busiest one was the steakhouse, I recommend arriving at 6 to get on the waitlist and have dinner at about 7:00 , that’s what we did ☺️

Hello for transportation to and from the airport what company did you use. I arrive Monday to Cabo!!
Hi! Im not sure the name of the company but we used the company that works right at the airport exit. Someone in the comments mentioned uber is available but I believe you would have to walk quite a bit to be able to request one. For the way back to the airport the hotel called us a cab 🚕 and we payed $1250 pesos for us three , Which is also about 65 dlls for the 45 min drive

Hi! The pool closes at 7 ! The night entertainment is very family friendly In my opinion, no clubs in the hotel. And yes it’s one covid test per guest included! We LOVED our stay but the Riu Baja California adults only was our first choice except it was full by the time we tried to book. I think that if you’re traveling without children and looking for more of a party mood you should consider the Baja California adults only because I’ve seen that they do have more adult party entertainment.

Do you have to make a reservation for the speciality restaurants?
Hi there! In May (when we visited) they weren’t doing reservations, it was a first come first server but they suggest arriving around 6pm so you can get on the waitlist and be seated around 7 for dinner. Especially for the steak house which is the most popular
is it really all you can drink alcohol? and was all that food free?
Hi! Yes! It’s all included! We didn’t pay anything else once we checked in. Food, drinks, alcohol , snacks!

The Riu Palace Baja California is a different hotel and is adults only.

Hi ! I flew domestic since I live in México but I believe it’s like when you travel to any other country so you would receive the document at the airport 🤗 hope that helps!

Can you swim here?
Hi! I believe it's not recommended to swim right in front of the hotel, we did not see many swimmers and there was a red flag. Beach waves were pretty aggressive to be honest But you can swim at Medano Beach that is just minutes away.
