OK, but all memes aside, why make the successor have less features than its predecessor? I mean, aren't improvements the only reason you would release a successor in the first place? I mean, THANKS for the extra tactics, but isn't slamfire the most fun part of pump action blasters?
The Nerf Megalodon functions in a very similar way, but the slamfire works., so there's no reason why the Shockwave can't have slamfire. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't bother trying to fix the Surgefire's slamfire dart skipping problem and just disabled the feature instead, because it's cheaper, faster and nobody can complain.
That is kind of how Elite 2.0 feels. But seriously, I feel sorry for kids who don’t realize that there are much better blasters for lower prices because it’s “Nerf or Nothing”.

2.0? More like 0.5, every review I’ve seen of this “new” line shows that Hasbro is dialing back their blasters. Less FPS, removing slam fire, making the blaster harder to mod. Meanwhile, the competition is growing with the community.
All I'm saying is if they just released some of there older guns/blasters like the rayven they would be fine, cause what I've seen alot of these 2.0 blasters break easily

The build quality is way lower than average, they all use solvent weld instead of screws so you can't get into them to fix them if they break, and they more often than not break under relatively normal use. This feels more like Buzz Bee instead of Nerf, and thats not a good thing at all. The very few people who actually have working 2.0 stuff are either really lucky, or don't know that Nerf can be better than this, because they have been before. Its super disappointing, especially in this day and age when their competitors are utterly smashing them in terms of quality.
You know what's also nice? That nerf now solvent welds the blaster together and uses plastic clips to avoid spending a couple of cents on screws per a blaster. That plus only painting one side of the blaster. Thanks hasbro, for cutting corners for an already premium product.
