Back to the workbench??? Ack! Upload faster please! :D I really, really hope it's going to be at the workbench of the Beretta guys, *that's* what I'd really love to see.
Larry: "So overall, You think this [6.8 SPC II] is about the best thing going?" Bill: "I think it's the best all-around cartridge you can put in an AR platform" Agreed. 6.8 SPC is the sole choice for hunters who want the maximum amount of reliable accuracy, velocity, and power from a 16" AR-15.
The sole choice? 6.5 Grendel from a 16" beats it from the muzzle on out in every way. I don't know why anyone would want the 6.8 over the Grendel, to be honest. I wanted an 18" Grendel originally, but it sold out before I could check out with my cart, so I quickly went back and put a 16" in and made it out of Midway. What I saw right off the bat was that all the claims about needing a 24" barrel to get decent velocity were false, as I was getting the same to more speed than what I was seeing for the 6.8, with bullets from the same companies, same construction, same weights, but with better BCs. Additionally, I had the option of using heavier bullets that feed fine from the magazine-factory ammo even, with BCs you'll never have in the 6.8, meaning more retained energy on the animal, with longer ogives for more expansion, at lower working pressure for the gun.
LRRPFco52 6.8 SPC factory loaded ammo blows. It's build to the SAAMI spec which sucks due to Remington making lots of mistakes during the original development of the round. 6.8 SPC II can be loaded significantly hotter due to a better throat design and an improvement in twist rate without causing serious overpressure issues. Not to mention we now have stronger bolts. 6.8 spc ii is has more energy at the muzzle with a 110gr if you're running 16" barrels on both Grendel and SPC II. It's simply because it has slightly more case capcity. However the 6.5 Grendel is more efficient and gets a slight edge as the cartridge goes down range. It also gets an advantage of having steel cased plinking ammo and a wider array of barrels available from lots of mainstream companies But, the bolts arent quite as strong as the 6.8 bolts we've seen. That will change with time though. Both are excellent cartridges though
What's the best lower receiver for my new Wilson Combat .458 socom I'm thinking about the Rock River Arms lower? Is there anything better or that will hold up more??
I'm glad Bill didn't ruin things by talking too much!!! LOL...
I was going to write a comment by saying he doesn't talk all that much and all sorts of stuff BUT you summed up my thoughts in a social manner.
once a Delta operator always a Delta operator . Larry never miss . awesome
he missed @ 5:02
I liked that the hogs were impressed!
The AR10 Recon 18 inch is already on my next buy list
I've wanted a Wilson Combat 1911 for a long time but at my age and health that ship has sailed. However, I can still bench shoot an AR so I'm all in.
Is bill even awake?
Close ups of the rounds in the mag and the rounds by themselves would of been nice to see.
Nice video! I am interested in the .485. How big is it in mm and will it be available in Europe too?
Geez, Bill, yack yack yack!!!
what is the checkering called on Bill's "blaster" gun that was shot in the beginning of the video?

Hey Larry, what watch are you wearing in this video?
U need to do a show at nemo arms
Youre a big guy
Larry should lay off the doughnuts :)
Ol’ Bill is drier than a popcorn fart. 😐
cooool
Not a fan of the way the mag was sticking out the smaller 45. Looked tacky, like something cheap
+Alex Marchica Its called extra rounds
+Rusty Shacklefort No shit. Still looks like a hammered bag of dicks.
hahaha alright fair enough. I think only the 10 rnd mags look ok because they stick out really far unlike these.
+Rusty Shacklefort Either way I would still be very happy if I owned one of those!
damn right about that!!
Got some balls charging $3500 for a 1911 platform gun. Limiting your market
Haha. They've been in business over 30 years. I think he'd doing fine with out catering to the poors.
Ha I got 3 of them and a their ar15..my clothes may not be the best..but my guns are..lol
Am i the only one who thinks the "going hot" all the time is kind of childish?
