Big surprise Budapest is not on the list. Budapest has 2-3 daily flight to China/S. Korea but none to the US. Before covid for many years Delta, American and LOT served JFK- Bud route. I think that would be a big win if they would restart these routes and maybe also MIA-BUD or LAX- BUD.
Routes not mentioned and potential carriers: SEA to ATH (Delta seasonal summer ops) Currently no west coast flights in USA to ATH SEA to DEL (Delta to squeeze out Air India in Vancouver; Seattle has a huge Indian population) SEA to Australia (Delta this would put the squeeze on Qantas and Air Canada in Vancouver) BOS to PVR/SJD (Alaska could alternate these flights between destinations) My two cents
I would like to see more Munich United Hubs traffic. And more Discover Airlines Traffic to Florida from Munich. Like Munich, Tampa, Munich, Orlando and Munich, Fort Myers
Both Boeing and airbus should deliver the wide body planes to air india❤, so that many routes which are planned can be started immediately without delays. Like A-350, B-787,
I'm surprised why San Diego doesn't have any routes on the list; There is a huge unserved market internationally here because a lot of people do not want to drive 2 hours or take a 30 minute flight to LAX
For American, from dfw or lax to: manilla Philippines, Kuala lumpur Malaysia, Colombo Sri Lanka, Saigon Vietnam, Jakarta Indonesia, and Taipei Taiwan From Jfk or phl: Capetown South Africa , Adis Ababa Ethiopia, Lagos Nigeria, and Marrakech Morocco.
What counts as a connection? Does a train from Newport to Reading, Hayes & Harlington or Paddington, then corresponding bus or train to Heathrow, then a long-haul flight count?
I think most of them can be served but with payload restrictions but means like increasing business class seats creating a onboard bar lounge thought emirates a380 one would not be possible and creating a special economy with light seats though Airbus should focus on increasing range of a350 though they have increased it till 16,482km and the real reason nobody takes air India is it’s some planes being outdated while some people want to relax midway while others want a us carrier who provides them with transit.
Someone should do Burbank(Glendale/Pasadena) to Yerevan via Boston with an A321XLR if it has the range. Stop in Europe if you need to refuel. Paging JetBlue!
XLR this XLR that, what’s with people thinking that transpacific narrowbodies will become a reality? Routes from the northwest to Japan are barely within range
I dont really think the XLR would help much in this situation. The MIA v BOS example they gave is pretty good. MIA has more passengers and is longer but those flights produce less profit when compared to BOS. The average fares for the route is the bigger issue . If you can fill a 773 or 789 why bother deploying a XLR. Certain routes and certain destinations have lower average fares that make the direct route less lucrative.
As I understand it the XLR has a lower seat costs than the wide-bodies. So if the airlines are getting a lower yield of because most of the plane has coach flyers doesn’t it make sense to cover these thin routes with the plane that has the lower seat costs?
I can’t believe there no nonstop flights from USA to Thailand.
Failing ICAO Safety Audit in 2015 is the reason
@SeolWooBae That red flag was lifted in 2017.
Thai airways used to fly direct from BKK to LAX back when they had A340-600s
Air Canada does nonstop from yvr to bkk, funnels lots of U.S. passengers who do not want to transit through other As in an a in reports.
@@user-yt198 Nahhh the Deputy PM/Transport Minister has recently said the FAA could reinstate CAT 1 rating by Feb 2025

IMO, delta or JetBlue would be better suited to cover services between them, as both have a larger presence (more slots) at BOS
@@InTheMood-fi3bh I agree with you but I have a huge Alaska bias. 🙂 Merry Christmas.
You should do a video, either on this channel or the Long Haul channel, on routes around the world that have been discontinued and never reactivated
Thanks; what a really great video.
I have flown to the Czech Republic twice. both times i had to make a connection through JFK. no surprise.

Discover Airlines, r u serious? What a clown you are. Lol

PHX and/or LAS to NRT
Surprised Philadelphia to Tokyo isn’t on this list. Never served
Dallas, US - Chennai, India

Just for information. 32 US destinations are served direct from London Heathrow
Indirectly as a summary, India to USA market is under served 😅
Need Dhaka to New York flight soon
I would fly it if it was on United or delta
Houston to Madrid
What counts as a connection? Does a train from Newport to Reading, Hayes & Harlington or Paddington, then corresponding bus or train to Heathrow, then a long-haul flight count?
Only flight connections count as connections.
ATQ , AMRITSAR , INDIA NEED DAILY FLIGHT TO CDG , AMS , LHR , HKG , AUH , JED , KWI , AMM , IST , RUH , MCT , NRT , CAN , ICN , PVG , PEK .

I took United airlines Delhi Newark flight and thereafter to further flight to Dulles.
Air India flies non stop to Dulles, though
I wish Miami would go back to direct flights to Asuncion Paraguay
XLR could possibly bring it back
AMD CDG
AMD LHR DAILY
AMD HKG

What about lagos Houston
LAS VEGAS ( LAS ) TO ( MFM ) MACAU .
The A321xlr will allow many of these long haul opportunities

It was not just about the Pacific though is it.
