Judy Mowatt not only has a very beautiful voice but sings with the same phrasing as Bob only a little faster and higher. All the I-Threes are fantastic singers. The Wailers were all talented musicians.
I had the great Honor of being one of the crew that built the Mateel Communirty Center we were finishing the building at this time and I remember Judy so well what a gracious Lady and so talented till this day she reigns with Rita Marley and Marcia Griffiths as the Queens of reggae, though there are so many wondrous women in the Reggae movement! IRE ITES! ( one of the honors I was given was to become number one Spotlight at all shows the Mateel put on till 92, when I had a falling out with the people doing ROTR in the latter years of the 90's too much a dat white powder floating around, it was supposed to be a non-profit organization well at times it got a bit lost but Judy always came to keep I&I lookin forward to the outcome that was already in the works! Now the Mateel has shucked off the husks of old ways,a and the people have taken back the Mateel Hall (Taj Mateel) and things are truly IRE, yours truly Ras Bob My name on the site, since the contractor did not know all the volunteers we all were called Bob, later as we were finishing the building we had received our Bob tag I was Ras Bob, we had Pauli Bob, Savage Bob, Jerry Bob, Phil Bob, Grag Bob and Mikey Bob and so many others everyone used to come to work to build the center for the kids of tomorrow now their all grown up so cool~~~truly special days for the world of the Mateel Nation!
Judy Mowatt has such a sweet, gentle, pleasant voice :) is she one of the official backsingers when Bob performed live? I always enjoy the choir in those performances a lot!
