one interesting thing I noticed when going over the atlantean tech tree is that it mentions an upgrade that increases favor generation from your oracles. I am hopeful this might be an indication that we finally get an actually unique way for atlanteans to generat favor rather than just getting favor from town centers. Maybe you get favor based on how much of the map is covered by oracles, like the more you can see of the map the more favor you get? Either way its fun to speculate.
Maybe you'll get passive generation of favor for each Oracle that has max LOS. Maybe they'll limit oracles to 10 or something to balance, since reusable god powers are real now. Just a guess.
@@softwarelivre2389 they are already limited in amount, you can build them. And one of the gods in heroic age can upgrade all oracles into heroes at once, even in production. So yeah, may be.
That mention of Oracles having impact on favor generation made me think, what if Atlanteans generated favor based on how much of their map is revealed? That would tie greatly into having Oracles stationed in as many places as possible for max coverage. The Oracle technology could then increase the favor generation further for areas currently revealed by Oracles. It would also be in line with the developers' original goal; that Atlanteans gain favor by spreading their reach.
0:36 what you see here is the rectus femoris, which although it is indeed part of the quads (thus not making your statement incorrect), would never be more developed than the other regions of the quadriceps even if you were to do only rectus-femoris targeted training (such as leg extensions/sissy squats). It is a design fail.
I think part of why it looks weird is there's some strange lighting on his lower half that makes his thighs look gigantic as compared to his calves. Look on the left side, it's really light, making his leg below the knee look tiny.
1. I was worried that all the changes they were making were going to hurt the core gameplay, which was borderline perfect, but all of them have been a net positive thus far, which is *really good* and gives a lot of hope for the game feeling fresh, but still fundimentally the same, for a long time 2. Hades isn't evil. Ironically, despite his aesthetic, he is literally the most fair of the Greek Pantheon. Literally everyone he hurt or punished either had it coming or he *explicitly warned* so they understand the consequences of their actions. Even his marriage to Persephone is the most stable one out of all Greek Mythology as they share their divine domain as equals MAYBE rivaled only by Hepheastus' marriage to his second wife after Aphrodite: Aglaea, one of the Graces (a goddess of beauty and glory) 3. I appreciate that Kronos seems to have a chunk of his tech tree surrounding Automatons. As a kid, I LOVED that unit but was endlessly frustrated that it was kind of terrible.
They would automatically be 100% better if you could manually task them to repair each other. I've lost so many at the last second because of the delay before they'll figure it out themselves, not to mention prioritizing repairing damaged units vs decaying units when it should be the other way around.
Odin is still all about the Jarls, but now he gets better Raiding Cavalry. Odin Jarls are terrifying. +10% hit points and damage at base, then Thundering Hooves from Freya and Ring Giver from Nord. Jarls end up with close to 400 hp, 70% missile resist and ~50% hack resist, they move fast and do a lot of damage. Now he also has very strong raiding cavalry and he still gets the 2 ravens so you will always know where to find enemy villagers. Odin was my favorite in AOT, they did him justice in Retold.
It kinda works like zerg creep from starcraft 2, as it gives all units and buildings on it passive regen, and eco buildings can now also spread lush, like creep tumors.
There are some interesting upgrades for ships in heroic age from, I think, almost every minor god in the game. They spawn units, get new special attacks, even lets new tech, like building Argo (yes, he is not limited only to Poseidon).
Honestly that would be a good change since the Atlanteans used to get favour by just using the TC, and they used to have kinda stronger Myth units compared to others (imo) but now since Myth units have been buffed (Minotaur being able to use the skill on multiple units at once for example , or the centaurs being kinda op now because of their new ability) it kinda made sense to make the Atlanteans also have a better favor gathering methos to balance their myth units
You can't train shades as Hades, you never could. In the original game, the spawn rate for shades was controlled in a settings.ini file, i upped it from 20% to something more reasonable. I did a test in skirmish last night, and out of 10 units, i got 2 shades, and out of 25/30, i got 3 or 4 or so (i think i ended up with about 6). Regarding Set, yeah, i'm glad you can train elephants of set now, and the converted animals having less food isn't new, that's always been there, it was just never pointed out before. The greek hammer ship also apparently gets a ramming ability with a tech upgrade, when realistically, it should be the trireme that gets that, as that is one of the things they were built for. Interesting that they've given lampades (Hecate's MU) the ability to transfigure enemy units into chickens (through a tech upgrade). Should now be possible for Circe to turn human units into pigs (of course, she'd have to be trainable, but a mod can take care of both) My biggest complaint about the change in god portraits is Gaia, and to a lesser extect Aphrodite and Theia (I'm 50/50 on Dite), but Gaia looks _horrible_ now. Not culture accurate at all! She looks like groot's mother, and no, that is not more accurate to her role as the earth goddess. All historical depitcitions/descriptions of her were that of a beautiful woman. It was Marvel that made her a living tree. (Marvel also NEVER showed an accurate depiction of Hel) They also didn't do a good job showing Hel's or Nempthys's more decayed sides, not when compared to the original portraits. There is also potential issue of them using AI to create the portrait of Apollo, or at the very least edit it (look at the hand that is drawing the bow, and count the fingers)
29:01 I think it means ALL units get +10% and atop of that heroes also get +5%, but yeah wording is wierd or they just messed it up. Also 25% more bonus damage, I think it means that e.g. imagine spearman dealing 10 damage to everything and 13 damage to cavalry so it deals 3 bonus damage to cavalry so the bonus means 10+1.25x3 damage against cavalry.
Generally speaking, I do like a lot of these changes, they just make sense, keep the game fresh and more fun. Also I hope we get Man'O'War somehow, it was such a cool unit XD

They both can gain a lot of favor pretty quickly at mid-late game and their god powers are almost op. btw I found the egiptians god powers very weak except some of them, but I think they need to buff them a little bit. In conclusion, retold is well made, but they need to point and fix some things, however I'm happy with it.
I agree with the new voices, but I don't think it's an issue with the voices themselves, but the clear lack of human emotion behind their deliveries. I think the poor voice lines are a product of bad direction. They could quite literally take the voice actors, show them the original lines and have them hear and watch the clips in which they play and tell them to make it like that, but better.

They're very easy to pick apart and find all these weird inconsistencies. edit: Wild claim here, but I think the portraits were made with AI assistance and the artist did a very bad job of hiding it. Look at Loki's background, the tree on the left side is really weird and wonky, or how Zeus abbs anatomically make absolutely no sense. There is this weird discrepancy in style where some parts look really realistic and then there is a thing, like the hand that holds Poseidon's trident, it's like it's like terribly done anatomically, as if the artist wanted to fix some things the AI didn't do so well, but just scribbled it in without any real knowledge of anatomy. This is either not a very good artist that uses AI to assist in things like composition and design, or an artist with a lot of potential, but needs to follow some art classes.
