14:45 about his goals, he not only got numerous WR with Phelps, now he trains Marchand who broke Phelps' WR in 400 IM. Which means he STILL accomplishes his goals...! What a career for those 3!

In addition to being great to hear all these stories, we are able to apply all these tools to the corporate world, because to build something solid in business you need a lot of preparation, persistence, determination and believe in the goal. Thanks for what you doing Hawke.
Sounds like Bob put his work in too, along with all the outstanding swimmers he coached. I will always remember what he said above being patient and doors will open for you. 👍
Wonderful interview! Brett, I love all your interviews! I'm considering of going into coaching. Like Bob, I am proficient in music. I taught piano for many years but never brought in enough $ to support myself. Bob is amazing.
Awesome content. Would be great if you could get Dean Farris or I was wondering as an Australian swimmer if you could talk about how to get into college in America.
Really quick using just logical implication... isn’t every single world record also a gold Medal?????????? Is it possible to swim a WR and not win gold?? Unless the top two swimmers broke the WR
Thanks for this. Learned so many things. And particularly loved the insight from being a coach perspective.
Incredible interview

Medal?????????? Is it possible to swim a WR and not win gold?? Unless the top two swimmers broke the WR
It’s rare but yes. Swimmers have broken a wr but still lost. For example 2008 Beijing 400 free relay
You can break the record in the semi final
@@Redditstories-o5y true
You can litreally break a wr at any point of the year. Doesn't have to be once every four years in the olympics
@@ccbgaming6994 and that's why i think its not that much easier to win olympic gold compared to breaking a wr
Many thanks Brett.
