Turbo Advance would still be cool if the Villainator didn't exist. Only average power and you have to manually switch between the inner and outer darts.

Turbo Advance/variants would be interesting to compare as well. Superdrum as well although there's no pump action so maybe that one counts less.

To be fair the rotofury has been off shelves for two years. Surgefire is already on its way out the door.

@@redenginner probably because the phrase "drum blasters" makes you think of Tommy smg type blasters, so a drum pistol wouldn't be on here.
Yeah Turbo Advance is my favorite drum blaster so I was also disappointed to not see it included. The Villainator does deliver basically the same thing, but plus a stock and slam fire. I just greater prefer the form factor/aesthetic of the Turbo Advance.
All three of those are outdated to be in this video, he said his examples are specifically "from the last year or so."
@@kalsyphr5039 Surgefire came out in 2018, while the Turbo Advance/Super Drum at least got a new reskin late last year/earlier this year
The Dart Zone Magnum Super Drum is also a worthy blaster as well. 40 round drum, slamfire and runs $20.

It would be neat to see a "vintage" version of this covering blasters that are no longer available at retail like the Alien Menace Incisor or the N-Strike Elite Stockade.
...though those are both different propulsion systems than the spring-powered blasters in this video.

Don't you just love it when you watch a quiet video so you turn the volume up and then the drac intro blasts into your ears to the point if you take the ear buds out it's like a bluetooth speaker
I have a surgefire myself and for me it works
Pretty well. It’s an efficient blaster for the most part. The only issue I have is that the dart drum sometimes get stuck.

RIP Phi, I just watched your video from three years ago and checked out the gofundme. I cried my eyes out but I'm glad he got to enjoy (as much as he could) the last few weeks of his life. I think it's amazing that you were a part of that joy for him, and I know he is playing with his ner guns right now in heaven.
He may be able to make a definitive list of the best Nerf blasters of all time soon, because if Hasbro keeps this up, Nerf isn't gonna last much longer than an ultra dart from this point onward. Really hope they'll get it together at some point, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The only one worth picking up out of the four shown is the Dart Zone one. More than double the capacity and slamfire enabled, for a cheaper pricetag.
The surgefire makes me smile, if it never exist brother would have never nerfed, that’s how he found his “heavy class” as a nerfer, I’ll probably get him a villinator lol.
This makes me look at my surge fire and want to salvage it. Good news Im not losing much money buying a villianator

If you don't live in america but have Xshot buy turbo Fire its the same thing with the villaintor and a cheap 29$ price and slam fire. Also it is much cheaper than the shockwave as it costs 35$. This is in Australia for you guys and yeah.
Surgefire; Decent, budget Primary. Good on its own, but hugely overshadowed by the Villanator.
Shockwave; The surgefire, but absolutely horrible... A stock attachment point isn’t worth slamfire and horrid construction.
Fortnite Drumgun; a slightly better surgefire that gains a stock and some style. Ruins the cheapness advantage, though.
Villanator; If you’re not trying to stick to NERF Brand blasters, buy the thing. Cheap, Powerful, high capacity, and incredible overall. Not having a Mag is its only weakness, though we are speaking about drumguns.
Almost 2 years later and the Tomcat is hilariously better. Villainator is still a really amazing option too.
I think villainator still has a point for indoor use because 150 fps half dart can be too powerful in house.
Have Dart Zone given any updates on international distribution? The Villainator might be my top recommendation if they let me buy it.
The X-Shot Turbo Advance is also on shelves in this category and I'd recommend it for people who don't have access to the Villainator. No slam fire but it has a 20+20 dart capacity and you get 96 darts in the box.
The Surgefire is the cheapest option, since they're only really available second hand.
The Fortnite DG is pricey but you pay a little extra over the Shockwave for the slam fire, built-in stock and Epic Gamer Flavour. Pick it up with a coupon or on sale if that's your jam.
Just avoid the Shockwave. Kids will certainly have fun with it but Hasbro's scummy practices need to be discouraged as much as possible.
Yeah, I got a Turbo Advance cause we unfortunatly don't have the Villainator here in Brazil, and although it lacks slamfire, it does look intimidating as hell and having 40 rounds ready is pretty awesome.

Mags are cool and fun, but I'm leaning towards drums and cylinders, I love the Villainator!

i like the turbo Fire im doing a spring upgrade and cutting off the barrel so i can use it as a secondary and slam fire away but i may choose another one cuz the turbo's slam fire isnt that good

Ooh, do this again but with the Stryfe clones (Spectrum, Rebel Mech, OG Stryfe, Phoenix, and whatever Stryfe clone Fortnite has).
One necessary "mod" for the villainator is just to remove those annoying tab things. They ruined 2 of my darts before I got to them, and it's super easy to remove them. Plus, you can just pop the cylinder out if you want to switch them.

I have a turbo advance should I upgrade to the villainator?
This would’ve been fair if the villainator wasn’t here. The surgefire, shockwave and DG are all 15 round pump action sprinters. The villainator almost has the same amount of ammo as the other 3 combined.
The Villianator was the blaster I used at Endwar from last year.
Can you do full which is the Best full auto archetype?
No Magnum X2 or Turbo Advance/Super drum? How can you talk about the villianator without talking about it's 2 parents that brought their features together to make the villianator happen?

Hey drac, I really want to mod my rapidstrike but.... I’m very intimidated, by which parts to buy circuits, flywheels, motors, switches and uuuuugh!! I have only modded one gun before the rival Kronos. So if you have any advice for me that would be super cool. Thanks love your vids.
If you go down to his older videos, he has made some on modding Rapidstrikes, if you want a simple basis. If after those you still wanna check out some of the newer items available in the aftermarket, you can always check out newer mod guides and foruns around youtube and the internet as a whole.
Just found the Surgefire at a thrift store at my local mall for cheap, it’s nice actually.
Technically all of these are "cylinder" blasters. A drum is a type of magazine (with a spring loaded follower feeding darts) while a cylinder is closer to a clip (with the feeding/rotation built into the blaster).
I know they look similar, but no one really calls a Maverick or Hammershot cylinder a drum... yes, they mave a much smaller capacity, but they're effectively the same thing as a Villainator cylinder.
Yes, I know this sounds like a rehash of the "clip/magazine" debate, which annoys some people. But I've never really understood the argument that it doesn't matter. Is wanting to use correct terminology wrong?
People claim that if you invent it, you get to name it. Ok, what if Nerf invents a new spring blaster that they call a "flywheeler?" Would the same argument hold up?
Where are the Zuru options?? The Turbo Advance is epic mad Turbo Fire isn't bad ether... Especially as the Dart Zone/Adventure Force blasters aren't easily available out side north america....... Also, the Super Drum........

Because the Shockwave gets about 40-60 fps, it doesn't have slamfire, and it is cheaper in design. At least the Surgefire has somewhate decent performance, has slamfire, and is a little better in quality.

for the elite 2.0 shockwave I think you and a lot of people may have defective copies because my copy has full slamfire (with some hiccups) but idk. my copy might just be defective.

Just saw clipart for this and I just assumed performance wise that the Villainator would be best.
I don't even know why I clicked this video. I don't need more reminders of why Dart Zone is the best brand, they remind us every time they come out with another blaster.
Next to my nexus pro, the villinator is the go to for all my in house nerf fights with my son.

The pump-action blaster with the drum where you have to manually switch between the 20 rounds in the inner ring and 20 rounds in the outer ring? That's actually Zuru's (aka X-Shot).
Dart Zone and Zuru both make blasters for Walmart's Adventure Force brand
TLDR: The Villanator is the best one, buy that unless you really like Fortnite
I dislike Nerf Elite 2.0, but Im glad to say that the Nerf Elite 2.0 Turbine is one of my favorite blasters for performance and style.

How does the lawbringer compare?
Fun to dual wield, but then you have to buy 2 blasters, which is kinda cumbersome compared to using 1 blaster. By itself, you''ll probably get outgunned by the other drum blasters in the video.
