The barrel is too short for the upgraded spring(s). The dart is leaving the barrel before it could take advantage of the full power of the spring.

Yup.
Solution brass barrell with just about an extra 1.5 inches, also gives enough to add a shorty scar barrel from RMods74 on etsy to maintain the "real steal" compact profile with an added silencer.
Or maybe in this case a spring spacer to shorten the spring but increase power would be a better mod to avoid changing out the barrel
@@En1gmatic1 I 'm hearing a longer brass barrel doesn't help either. I have the MK2 but at 80 bucks I'm going to wait awhile before modding it. I think it's because the plunger tube is duel purposed as a pusher, so it primes back as a reverse plunger, but primes forward and fires as a direct plunger, so no dead space exists. Unless you make a longer plunger to fit a longer spring the stock version may be at its optimum power.
You just know that some gloriously crazy person is gone a make a pump kit for this bad boy
I’m getting more RoboCop vibes from this than Desert Eagle but that’s just me.
I mean, it kinda does, yeah, but that's only really while you have the big chungus orange tip barrel extension stuck on it. Without it, it's a far less RoboCop feeling, more realistically designed pistol.
Also, fun fact about RoboCop (the original. Not the shitty attempt at a reboot): they were, in fact, originally planning on using a Desert Eagle as RoboCop's gun of choice, because of how big it was, but once the Armour and other overall bulkiness of RoboCop in comparison to a normal human got added into the mix, they realized it looked more like a normal handgun, and sought out and modified a Beretta 93R to use to create RoboCop's Auto 9 instead.

Hey @LordDraconical would you consider a loop or "T" pull insert to take the place of the claw in this and/or the Aeon Pro so it doesn't impede the line of sight of any targeting systems that can be added to the top picatinny of both blasters? Just a thought. Happy Thanksgiving.
You're going to hit a performance ceiling just because of plunger tube volume with anything so I wouldn't be surprised if dartzone already has that thing pretty maxed out with as small of a plunger tube as it has.
Just wondering if the darts are loaded into the grip from above - why did they not just make a magazine to go up through it from below - like a real pistol?

They won’t. The adventure force toy guns (the ones that make noise and stuff, non dart blasters) literally are modeled after real world firearms, like, there’s an M4 one and an Mp5 one. And there are shell ejecting prop pistols modeled after real pistols, one of em I recall being modeled after a 1911 (they’re actually really cool, magazine fed and everything) and all those have are toy safe coloring on em and they make electronic noise. So I doubt they’re gonna force you to have the extension on.

New to the hobby, got my blaster yesterday and little brother dry fired it twice on accident, my question is, what breaks? What would I need to replace later in the future?
I am a big fan of internal overview videos. If I ever decide to get ''fancy'' with a new blaster, it's nice to have a reference for when things go wrong and I forget what goes where. Although it does look fairly simple...still Thank you for making this...EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
When i looked at mine the plunger head doesn't really seal with the plunger tube, blaster still works well, maybe you could improve performance if you fix the seal?
Hey drac, in your opinion, what do you think the chances are that someone finds a way to give the mkII a grip fed magazine system? I just a appreciate lower profile pistols and I feel like the venturi is too big of a blaster to me.
Try putting in a lower spring because of the small plugger tube it might give a better air delivery

I feel like that the magazine follower could be shrunk a bit to give it a +1, of course that would make the speed loaders a bit off. After seeing 8 round hammershots i feel like anything is possible
well the spring is probably matched to the plunger tube volume and the barrel I.D and length ,bigger springs need longer barrels .A bit like how the worker gen 2 blue short dart kit is power tuned for the elite plunger tube and a 7kg spring
Any chance we can swap the barrel for one of the existing hobby options? I'd love to add a scar and it would be much easier if the barrel stuck out an inch or so past the front of the shell.

It's good to know I can pick this up and keep it unmodded. That claw might aid in dual wielding. Maybe a holster that accommodates the barrel tip add-on or a barrel tip add-on that's a little more streamlined?

The feed lips on the internal magazine are spring loaded so the pusher can move through them, you'd have to make similar feed lips on the detachable mag.
Instead of swapping the spring focus more on keeping a better air seal. You’re losing air all up in that gat

When you poped the casing i was thinking if you could cut the bottom there no reason you could exten the capacity downward would just need a fo magazine like the glock 17 extended mags. You just need a longer maybe more robust spring. Let alone conver it to mags but that will come next modle im sure there no reason it was skipped for this. Unless there some other reason besides cost.
I’m glad that you weren’t able to improve the performance- merely because that speaks to the original design, and that they didn’t hold back in what they are providing us! I love the stubby front piece, though and I will have to pick one up once I can actually get my hands on a MK-2!
Hey drac, what if you made a extended mag for it? Like you would take a shell the same as it and dremel out it then put plastic to extend the grip, also to go with it, you could make a bigger clip for it
For having the bigger shells you could have a secondary or primary MK. II
could you even just shave down the follower to maybe accept another round?

Aaah, oh well, least ya tried right? I still enjoyed the video nonetheless! Also didn’t take long for you to make attachments ;) lmao not a bad thing though! It’s super fun to come up with new stuff for existing products, like you did with the Aeon and Nexus. I imagine even more so making it come to life with 3D printing!
This blaster is super badass. It gives me a mix of robocop’s Auto-9, or just generally a futuristic handgun that you’d see in perhaps a cyberpunk themed game or series.
I’ve also got some print ideas for ya: make an orange attachment that looks like the SilencerCo Osprey! And possibly a faux module that looks like a laser/light combo so that pic rail can get some use! And instead of the claw, perhaps an RMR shaped inspired piece can be made to go on the slide similar to mounting the claw, that way it not only gives the same benefit of the claw, but it’d look more tacticool too since it’d look like a reflex sight. I can’t wait to get my hands on one and have some fun with it!

I was hoping the claw had been more low profile and svelte, but it's nice to see all of these options regardless!
Reminds me more of a Brügger and Thomet MP9 with the overhang on the back of the grip.
Makes a lot more sense why this blaster is priced how it is after seeing it taken apart. It is very nicely made. Originally I figured the accessories were a big part of that cost, since it came with so much kit. But now I know better, not to say the accessories aren't also a nice addition. Overall a pretty sweet package. Expensive, but totally worth it from what I can see.

I believe people may be comparing it to a Desert Eagle because of the slide. The slide only really takes up the back half of the weapon instead of your traditional handgun slide that goes across the entire top of the weapon.
