To get the Chinese Kingdom gov reform you have to be either Chinese culture or one of the 3 Tibetan cultures owned by Ming at the start, Bai, Miao or Yi. Changsheng is the only Ming releasable which doesn't fullfil this condition lol
It was probably worth culturing shifting to get started on the free core wars, but you also could have stayed as Zhuang culture and then Sino-cized it when you take Mandate of Heaven in your second war. Zhuang is one of those cultures that can join the Chinese culture group if you either don’t own enough Chinese culture development or become emperor of China. I only know that because I am currently doing a fun challenge run where I’m trying to make the Chinese culture group as big as I can without just converting culture converting everything. Manchu, Sino-Tibetan, Sino-Altaic, Sino-Korean, Sino-Vietnamese, and Sino-Zhuang can all be added to the group. If anyone knows any others let me know and I’ll add them to my run
I wonder if the collapse of Ming event is what is hard triggered to cause the aggression in the vassal states once they're released. Maybe short circuiting things early and preventing it from firing caused them all to become the super hugbox
So there are several reasons that this wasn't the battle royale one would expect. First, during the Ming collapse disaster, the nations that pop out get cores on every province their stacks occupied. Second, the several event spawned nations: Shun, Dali, Yue/Wu get cores from rebels AND immediately declare war when spawned, along with getting their full force limit spawned in. Third, the provinces Ming kept are some of the most valuable Chinese provinces, whereas the Tibetan region that Red Hawk started in has some of the least developed. Fourth, Korea is the only Confucian nation outside of China. Personally I'm surprised Oirat didn't push more into Shun.
Cool one! I like the idea of changing this format, just a little. I'd suggest some changes on the releasables series for the next year. I have some ideas such as allowing forming nations after 1500 or maybe adding a little extra goal like finishing at least two ideas or even completing the mission three (if doable). Anyway, just a couple of suggestions to make it a little funkier. Happy new year btw.
Re: chinese kingdom opinion modifier -- they did add that in 1.33.2, but i think it doesnt exist anymore. They refactored that government reform in 1.34 so probably it disappeared at that time.
would be interesting if an event could happen if when ming vassals are released at start or ming starts to collapse. "the warlord have returned". change the celestial mandate to a sudo HRE system with no emperor. the chinese emperor is downgraded to a warlord /kingdom rank/ (to form empire rank warlords 1 have be the only warlord with land in china. 2 either celestial mandate is reinstated or warlord system is abolished/reformed) chinese warlords cant ally each other (or is allowed 1 warlord ally). - if an outside force declares on a warlord. each warlord is sent a call to arms (can be refused with no penalty on refusal. if refused will give massive opinion penalty by other warlords who accept/was declared on and minor buff for those warlords that accepted against warlords who refused for next war or a CB is granted to each warlord on invading force for only chinese territory but they receive a minor buff for next war against invader and only chinese territory can be ceded. - warlords that declare wars outside of china receive minor nerfs for war. co beligerating a warlord off of a war declared on a non warlord will treat warlord as an invader. just a few ideas to create a battle royal of chinese nations.
Not the right series, but since you have been doing modded runs here and there lately, I propose to play as Han in Extended Timeline on the start date scenario of their fall and aim to restore their empire.
you really should do a different goal for this series, its getting pretty boring watching the same old goal every time not anything wild, but something different
maybe only if he already played a releasable from that nation? Ming and England releasables are pretty samey, because he just needs to conquer the former overlord to achieve both goals
You know Red. If itself kinda historical like EU4 EU5 and not claiming themselfes historical don't complain if some parts are not historical. Because you want from chinese warlords antihistorical stuff. There is allinces in history

Happy New Year, sir!

Damn 😭
“No, free galley combat ability, the fuck? The frick I mean.” Lol
that really made me laugh
This made me so happy LMAO
"Thats what she said, or he. Becuse of gay"
So out of left field I just laughed lol

What is your Zhongli's level √{π=π}\@@ankiratv
"That what she said. Or he, because of gay" got me
Am gay, can confirm I've said that

Merry Christmas, Hawk!
tuah
You know you like realeasables and A to Z series when you didn't realize that last guide was 5 month ago
There is still Osnabrück/Osnabruck missing that you spinned once and then mistakenly took Paderborn. You could play as them next year?
Next do a colonial empire as your next releaseable. Cause you never do any colonization really
Changsheng is the most painful "warlord" TAG, even Tang is less painful (I haven't tried Zhou yet, maybe that's harder).
So there are several reasons that this wasn't the battle royale one would expect.

15:33 That was very funny xDD
Oirat and Manchu are also great option for "releasing" these countries. Ming is just one defeat away from collapse.

"oh, another ming thing" - But **bam** The Red Hawk delivered something special for us! Nice!
"Because, uh, gay" -Redhawk, 2024
I hope you have a great start into 2025 hawky. Love your videos and hope youll have fun with eu5 :)
Actually very nice gameplay right here 16:26
I'm a bit late on the video so happy new year's eve and a great new year to all of you amazing people!
Re: chinese kingdom opinion modifier -- they did add that in 1.33.2, but i think it doesnt exist anymore. They refactored that government reform in 1.34 so probably it disappeared at that time.
"because of uhh gay" got me, as a gay I approve of this
happy new year hawkman!
redhawk " some may say that [the over extension] may have been a mistake." me "rookie numbers"
Cool idea, i like it.
“I’m Thai!”
“I’ve got Chinese ideas.”
Damn Paradox, way to throw all the Asians into a big pot.
Bing Chilling
He has such a way with words
I think the modifier happens if they get released by rebels not as vassals
Good video! idk but maybe choosing very hard difficulty would have made the AI more aggressive for this run?
The whole episode reminds me of rush hour 3 scene: he is mi, I’m yu
Miao! You said that a lot.
MORE RED HAWK GAMEPLAY LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
He Swore at 16:55
Yeah, I felt that demonetising hammer jiggle a bit :P
Red Hawk! I wonder where you're from since you said it's snowing, personally everywhere I've lived it never snows.
But how would you know it's the holiday season?😮
If you turn up the difficulty the ai would be more aggressive. Might make this more fun.
would be interesting if an event could happen if when ming vassals are released at start or ming starts to collapse.

warlords that declare wars outside of china receive minor nerfs for war.
co beligerating a warlord off of a war declared on a non warlord will treat warlord as an invader.
just a few ideas to create a battle royal of chinese nations.
Shun is my favorite ming releasable
0:08 me everytime I play as the vassal of a strong nation
Oirat: It's free real estate.
ah yes three kingdoms lore
👍
16:26 meow :3
Please I am begging you, enable clips on your videos.
I would love to be able to share specific tidbits of advice you give with my friends
Not the right series, but since you have been doing modded runs here and there lately, I propose to play as Han in Extended Timeline on the start date scenario of their fall and aim to restore their empire.
Korea doing default stuff in any of my Japan games lol
The Red Hawk Tuah
26:33 🧐🧐🧐
China will grow larger
Wait, I got one, TheRedHawkTuah hahahahaha
Merry Holitimes Hawk
Stop lie you realised all ming vassals becouse as solo Changheng is harder to get independence.
I love China
Fuq that Chinese naval doctrine man seriously
Why’d he pick the only vassal that’s not chinese 😭
Chinese battle royale
That's it guys, I'm done. I'll only watch Red Hawk in 2025 now. Gotta take some time off of his content till then.
I think Red Hawk could not break free as a opm so he had to release all other ming vassals
you really should do a different goal for this series, its getting pretty boring watching the same old goal every time
not anything wild, but something different
You should do something special every releasables episode because they are becoming pretty boring
I second this. I still find Redhawk entertaining, but Releasables videos feel pretty same-y.
maybe only if he already played a releasable from that nation?
Ming and England releasables are pretty samey, because he just needs to conquer the former overlord to achieve both goals
That's kinda expectable tbh, when you have to play as hundreds of nations in the same game it eventually becomes repetitive.
Your pronunciation had me gagging at every turn.
you can gain cores without being EoC. Chinese Kingdom gov ref. allows that. Just occupy the provinces with right CB
Yeah that's what he did
You know Red. If itself kinda historical like EU4 EU5 and not claiming themselfes historical don't complain if some parts are not historical. Because you want from chinese warlords antihistorical stuff. There is allinces in history
