Riding the NYC Subway with a Disability | 5th Avenue to Astoria

- Join me as I ride the NYC Subway after a recent foot injury. It's been about 3 weeks since I was injured and it's been challenging to get around. I used a knee scooter to roll over to the nearest accessible subway station which was at 57th Street & 7th Avenue, and had to deal with two elevators just to get down to the platform. The ride on the subway was pretty comfortable, and I was able to sit the entire way to Astoria Boulevard.

🥺oh my ... I had no idea he is disabled now. I thought he had an accident that led to an injury. Be well soon...
He's not trolling the permanently disabled, you know? Registered disabled or not, things like this do affect the ability to get around - it's just that his has a better prognosis. The title might make you squirm, but it has value in highlighting just how badly provisioned for disabled people places are, even big metropolitan areas like NYC. Bigger picture!

If his injury limits his mobility because he can't walk normally and is forced to take elevators, how is that not a disability?
“Disability” should refer to both short-term and long-term disabilities, including temporary injuries.
He uses it to get views and mislead
