That's not what the Dynamic RAM Preview does. You can't assign RAM to an application - that's what the operating system does. The Dynamic RAM Preview is a specific kind of preview (you select a part of the timeline and render it to memory) and all you're doing with the setting is reserve memory for that. Memory that Vegas cannot use for any other purpose. Despite what so many UA-cam videos say, this doesn't give you more memory, it takes it away.
In Vegas Pro 21, I have higher rendering fps if I choose to have more dynamic ram assigned! (default nvenc, legacy avc enabled) i7-10700k, rtx 3080, 32GB at 3200MT/s
@@bollylicious i just made a new project and re-did all my previous project, looks like the problem is because of opening an older save of an older version of Vegas, just do a new project, or continue the project from the previously used Vegas.

This actually made it worse for me... crashed within 3 minutes of rebooting...
my vegas 20 still crashes after following all of these steps, for some reason my vegas crashes when i start playing the video in the middle of it.

Mine was actually the default preview, I just make it small and so far no more crashes even if I loop vegas even for 8hrs 😂
