"Of Herbert West, who was my friend in college and in after life, I can speak only with extreme terror."
While the Reanimator isn't Lovecraft's best story it's still pretty good and honestly one of my favorite depictions of zombies
I would say it more so just takes a brake from what he usually does. No monsters or paranormal elements, but purely science fiction horror
It wasn't one of his favorites by all accounts, but for my part it's a rather neat take on the Frankenstein story.
Yes, maybe one of first zombie stories ever...
This is a truly masterpiece. I hope to see this composition be a part of a new Reanimator movie. You deserve it.
+Paula Ramirez Thank you! I love being part of Lovecraft productions, whatever they be. :)
+Graham Plowman - Composer I feel that he's proud of your work, is beautiful.
There is :
Re Animator evolution
The director said this is going to be :
1. more darker
2. more sci-fi
3. Just like the book
Good soundtrack, and a surprisingly good book. It seems like Lovecraft read Frankenstein and thought 'I could write that!'
Great soundtrack. In my opinion "Herbert West" is one of the best stories by H.P. Lovecraft.
It is, but I hate how Gordon changed the book and even added the silly romance and sex scene.
@@Welther47 I'm.... ok with it. It doesn't detract from the original vision and even adds something that was missing. It's not just sex and romance. It's the gore factor that Lovecraft only implied in the original. The two wind up complementing each other very well IMO. Likewise the movie version of From Beyond, which I think tops even Reanimator.
Terrific, I can literally see the silent Legion breaking through my wall.
Thank You Graham! You're a genius. I read Herbert West with your music and it was amazing!!
Gasper Vidovic calm yourself, just a freakin opinion.
Thanks! It was written specifically to go with the story on the iPad, in the Booktrack app.
Better than 1985 soundtrack!
This composition just OOZES the horror in the story! This is my favorite work of yours! Spectacular work!! 💀💚
This was the first track I ever heard from you. I remember looking for something to set the mood before I read Herbert West and this video came up on google. I was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent track and a whole lot more of them! Thank you, your music has enhanced each story and campaign I encounter. Sometimes I wonder what H.P. would have thought of them.
Brilliance personified :D I passed your website along to my friend who is designing the Sherlock Holmes game. He shot a movie called Insectula as well. I think your music would be an incredible addition to the game and really add the ambience. I myself, once finished with my script and designs will be contacting you as well. Keep up the good work!
This one is by far my favorite of your works. It tells the story so well, superbly done.
I love this tale from Lovecraft, is a fabulous, one master piece
Eu jogo diablo 3 todos os dias escutando.. parabéns por me proporcionar uma experiência única no game que mais curto jogar !
It's a story with a title that's worthy of being a movie title.
just subscribed, I feel like a kid in a candy store your music is perfect,it's got me focused on my artwork again thank you and keep up the fantastic work...
what a wonderful composition! Finally a well deserving soundtrack to such wonderful line of tales :D
Very cool! I can imagine all the music in a modern day Re-animator movie... the cues of the original soundtrack are in there as well! VERY WELL DONE!
It also went really well with the printed version. :)
I'd be glad to hear even more of your brilliant compositions accompanying Lovecraft's work in the future!
Great music! perfect for reading the book with...although if this is a drawing/picture of Herbert West, its kind of wrong because he was blonde :P
In the book, yes. The movie version has black hair, the great Jeffery Combs.
I've never watched any Re-animator movies, but this score has made me very interested in it!
Your work is amazing! I really mean it!
This is fantastic and haunting.
Excellent composition!
Brilliant!
Just what i was looking for while reading!

Great work, some of it remainds me of Tchaikovsky`s 1812 Ferstival Overture
It is perfectly!!!
fuck yeah re-animator, good stuff
i read the story a time Ago and i really like the song
Very good work.
Thank you! :-)
... This is some fantastic work, great job!
+nyarlathotep, the crawling chaos Thank you...don't send the old ones after me!
+Graham Plowman - Composer ...Don't worry... the only old one you need to worry about is cthulhu, and he's stuck in the middle of R'lyeh.
+nyarlathotep, the crawling chaos ... you thought wrong... well, kind of...
+Cthulhu, Of R'lyeh How in the flying polyp did you get out of r'lyeh? or for that matter, be on youtube?
+nyarlathotep, the crawling chaos ...well, I didn't get out of R'lyeh, a phone fell from a ship, sunk to the bottom of the sea to my city, and I found it, and made a UA-cam account.
better than the movie tbh. though i still love the title and main theme this is just better in my opinion.
The theme at 8:50 reminds me a lot of Rite of Spring! Whoa
my uniform consist of: standard issue trouser, a low cut green shirt open at the chest, a waistcoat,
Cthulhu approved :D
cool!
Christopher Nolan should remake this film, using this music!
Good music.
I think that the best doctor West Is Jeffrey Combs. Crazy, sneaky, and more.
Incredible!
4:51 - wery scary and creepy tune ...
Sublime..
Damn Amaizing man, great stuff!
how you mean its your oryginal soundtrack ? you made this music ? tell me more!
+Adam Byliniak Hi, thank you. It was originally written for the Reanimator audio book on Booktrack (reading, no one is speaking). So it follows all the main story elements, which is why it's over 10 minutes long and has a lot of different elements.
wasn't Herbert west also in the podcast our fair city
Very nice music composition on the Herbert West: Reanimator Original Soundtrack. (Would love to see a different link for purchase and downloading besides booktrack.com)
Hey, thanks. I thought a few times about setting this up somewhere for purchase, but wanted to expand it first. Sorry that I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I've been listening to that track and purchased a few of your soundtrack compositions from bandcamp. Great stuff. I'll keep an eye open to see if you go back and re-visit this work.
Joshua Meadows Thank you for the support, Joshua. It's very much appreciated. With a number of projects (some very big ones) on the go it can be tough to find time but definitely want to expand my Lovecraft compositions.
Imagine a director plan to make :
Re animator movie set in year 2010s
I keep hearing music that reminds of the, "Reanimator," film from the mid to late 80's. Was that a coincidence or not?
no, re-animator is a horror Book of H.P Lovecraft.
Better than the ripoff of Bernard Herman's Psycho;)
Two conductor batons up!!
Algum Brasileiro por aqui ?

I was listening to a reading of Nameless City and threw this on as music… It worked so perfectly that part way through I actually forgot for a minute that they were separate.
