I really like how when the interpreters were talking for the deaf actors the other people on stage looked at the actors instead of the interpreter. Also when the hearing people were taking to the deaf actors they talked towards them and not towards their interpreters. Its just really nice to see that little gesture of respect being shown.
as a deaf person one thing i have learned is that you cannot share the world between silence and sound hearing people are the problem they always want to make you hearing and not accept you for you with out all the lies but hearing will lie through there heart to get what they want because that is the nature of hearing culture
Thank u for sharing and just being present 'til now, dear, i believe it's tough and thank you for speaking up... tbh, as a health professional wannabe i am learning my country's sign language thanks to dwsa. This show is great to introduce part of deaf culture for ignorant people like me... Pray for me in learning the sl
@@hanacnadir824 best of luck learning sign language you might also want to learn international sign language after you learn your country s sign language
i am deaf ii was born deaf with a bad case of mennengitis i had lots of medical treatment because of it i also had had tons of ear infections growing up i get a lot of people who cannot accept the fact that i was born deaf i was at a deaf school until i was forced out by politics and i ended up in a hearing school they put me in a retarded classroom because i am deaf not dumb i ended up learning to lipread on my own and got through school lip reading they refused to give me a sign language interpreter and my adoptive parents were audist which are people who hate deaf
I'm really sorry about what you've had happen I hope things do get better. I'm trying really hard to learn ASL and I just found out universal sign language is a thing? Hearing stories like yours motivate me to strive to hopefully one day major in asl interpreting much love💜💜
Lauren Serrano heck yeah starkid is great! And I'm not sure what it stands for. I've always thought Patrick because when I saw it, Patrick was the first P name to come to mind, but it has a horrible ring to it, "Austin Patrick Mckenzie". It's not public, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see lol

I like how everyone gives their sign name after their real name. It's like they're introducing themselves to the deaf community. It's so respectful.
Sandra is so beautiful I want to cry
This needs a revival ASAP
