Thx. empathy 🔥 How a new language affects our thoughts 🤔 I can tell you about my experience. I speak 5 languages, the 5th one is German, and I noticed that if I continue to actively use all these languages, some mixed words appear in my head... because it is not so easy to quickly switch to another language without mixing up a single word... but in general, many languages help our memory develop... 😊
I am 83 years old living in Poland and i Love everthing abolu you .Starting with your voice ,very good sens of humor Interesting way of explainingeverything . I am iin proces of learning or rather imptroving my english.I am glad i "met " you on UA-cam
Please continue making videos at this level. Yes, it is difficult to understand, but I can understand it after listening to it a few times. This is the level of real English spoken around me.👍
I am a native Thai speaker, and I think speaking different languages brings out different personalities. For instance, when I speak Thai, it also depends on who I am talking to. With elders, we tend to use a different tone and be more polite, which seems to come from our culture and background. Thanks again for your useful video. 🙏🙏
I agree with you! Sometimes I feel like if I speak English, I have more energy and confidence. But when I speak Japanese, I transform into a person who is really polite.
Hi, I am from Azerbaijan, and almost it is 1 month since I have listening to your YT videos, I want to say thank you for your passion. Just try to finish all of your videos to understand the British accent more clearly than before.
Happy New Year Dylan! Thank you for this really useful video. Language definitely influences thoughts, studying English you began being more polite and logic.
I believe that language influences thoughts, but beyond that, the process of learning another language is even stronger when it comes to changing a definitive mindset about something. For example, I'm the kind of person who usually doesn't like to watch a film or series multiple times, but for the sake of learning, I find myself open to it. More than that, I'm willing to watch a type of content that I generally wouldn't
greetings from the Philippines! I met 4 British lads at work, we worked at a Merchant ship, one of them speaks and sounds like you though he was from North Wales...Those 4 British lads I've met are one of the coolest guys I've worked with.
I LOVE IT!! This is such a great video, and it’s perfect for listening practice :) Andd it’s finally your time to respond to the most random questions! About the part on personality and languages, I’ve heard so many people say that your personality changes depending on the language you’re speaking, and I think it’s true. I have noticed that when I speak Brazilian Portuguese, I instantly feel like a happier version of myself, I don’t even know why! Thank youuuu, Dylan 🍊!!
Dylan, I really enjoyed this video. Please make more like it. I am an American, and I want to be able to speak in a "standard" British accent.I watch your channel regularly. Thank you for the listening practice.
I love your accent sir! I've been seeking like you and your accent. I'm so gald for you sir! Take my humble respect SIR! thank you for your dedication for us!❤
Happy New Year, Dylan. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter🤭. And I really appreciate all of your answers. We can see your effort clearly. The answers I love the most are about "Empathy", about your daily routine and about your special day.
This is my first time watching your video, and I really enjoyed it. Hope there will be a more challenging listening video posted. I am also a big Pokémon fan btw.
Hello dear dylon i am watching this content from kathmandu Nepal.i like your videos are very much and getting improve english as a native speaker.your pronunciations are very easy to understand for foreigners who are deprived to speak as a native english speaker. Thanks a lot.
Why not Henry? I hope you get better soon. Vitamine C is always a good choice! Happy New Year! And again thank you for this funny video... you answer spontaneously ... very beautiful extra lesson ... a tread for all of us, ... your students. One of the questions in the video "How does language influence thought?" is very important to myself and the question draws my thought to the subject. My native language is German and I am fluent in French, English, Dutch and a little Japonese. At the first place I am a musician. That makes six languages. I would like to think about it and maybe write about my view on this impotant question... and come back to it. For today I can say our English lessons with you can influence our thoughts ... in English. just gorgeous!
If ı had a chance to ask you sth, ı would ask: are u a good friend of yourself or do u sometimes get bored of yourself? Your voice makes this sense in this video ❤
well ı dont know if it gonna make sense for you guys but in Turkish there is something like idiom(?) maybe whatever. It says "bir insan bir lisan" it means every language you learn or talk is gives you a new personality. like a new life with new chances. just wanted to share!
I really love your videos. You have helped me a lot this year to improve my English. I'm from Germany so learning English is something that I'm really excited about and thanks to you I can do it in a fun and effective way. Thank you
Great video, mate, as always. I hear that you use a lot of glottal stops when you speak (or should I rather write ‘glo’al stops’). Is that common in the modern RP accent?
Language does not completely determine our thoughts. We can still think about concepts that our language may not have specific words for, and we can learn new languages and adapt our thinking in accordingly. ^_^
Hi! I watched your video for the first time, and really enjoyed it!! I'm going to London this autumn for studying and want to learn English. But,,,,do you know what I couldn't understand in your Video? It was the word "Pokemon"😁 Even though I'm Japanese, I couldn't recognize how "Pokemon" sounds in real English😂 P.S ✨get well soon🍵
I want to ask you, British English has a lot of accents, which accent is yours? Sorry if you feel like unhappy. Don't worry please, I love all accents of English ❤
You said your newsletter takes about two minutes to read. That's true. I love your newsletter, but now I have to wonder, how long does it take to write the newsletter?
I have noticed, seeing British TV series, that flapped t is more and more frequent in UK, especially between words (for example: get it, that is pronounced geddit) and in colloquial words like 'gotta'. Am I wrong?
coffee and oat milk is like having a beer without any alcohol. there are a lot of milk "whitout", fat, lactose etc. when you have a cold or get the flu , too much water is the solution but if you intake of tea is high, you are to visit the toilet very often. take care yourself. But , yes, you right the best , a huge amount of vit, c and B,. good job nevertheless.
I’d argue coffee without caffeine is like beer without alcohol - but thanks the comment regardless. You’re definitely right about the vitamins! Cheers ❤️🔥
@@britisheducation sorry teacher, i was talking about oat milk not the caffeina one. In fact descaf coffee, i have it very often every day. I am a coffeeholic, but with natural without fat and lactose milk. short coffee and milk, you call it.lette. i cant help oat milk, the taste is like if you were tasting dirt in a strong haze Canary day as today.
Cheers for watching! See you next Friday for another video 💙
