Can Huberdeau Be Fixed?
I feel that he might be like an Erik Karlsson but he is getting payed 2 million less dollars less than Conner mcdavid and mcdavid is pro only worth 7 mill more than that 3rd line grinder
yes if flames get a coach with half a braincell
@@Imhimmmmmm Sorry, you may need to translate what you're saying here.
Yes, but with another coach.
🤞
Too bad our best defencemen got hit by a truck out of now where

Detroit terrible driving
3rd best, but yeah only leaves 2 good ones left, and good health to Anderson hope he recovers well
Did it happen in Detroit? I wouldn't be surprised.
the driver didn't get any tickets. Tells me it's Andersson's fault
Huberdeau is a chronic passer to the point it's debilitating. Plenty of games could have been closed out in our favor had he shot at the net rather than passing.
Been watching hubby since he came into Florida and yep this has been him his whole career, a chronic passer. The reason why he was so successful i Florida was because of the guys around him esoecially because of Barkov and Ekblad, those two players combined with hubby on so many of his points that its not even funny.
He had like 115 points ....wasn't his fault
@@john60123 lol you will destroy him further by putting him on the fucking fourth line. Are you crazy? Flames already have a record of slowing down n ruining players game once they arrive in calgary.
I dont understand why they signed him to an 8year ext before he even played a game in Calgary, they really didnt have to
Because if they didn't the narrative would of been "see, no one wants to play in Calgary/ Alberta/ Canada. Or whatever the flavor of the day is.
Even with a bad year someone would have paid him.
@@csolivais1979 who gives af about a dumb narrative. Now you’re future of your franchise is terrible
This was Huby's weakness for the first few years in Florida. He would pass the puck 90% of the time rather than take the shot. Jagr was credited with fixing that during his time with him and Huby became very confident in his game. That confidence seems to be lost at the moment. Huby will eventually get it together, but you're correct, he has to fix it now.
Miss Huby in Florida, but MT has been huge in a Florida sweater too!!
He will eventually get it together...when? After he retires? I see in the future the Flames just buying out his contract to try and forget this transaction ever took place. This is Gary Leeman 2.0
Tkachuk is just a better player, you have to respect him more.
tkachuk has been monumental yet I do genuinely miss huberdeau. moreover, I miss goldie's exuberant calls when huby did his magic on the ice.
@@masennus2495 HOOBY DOOBY DOO!!!!!
No sane Panthers fan misses him. He never showed up when it matters.
Kinda appears that maybe the Florida GM knew what was up here and fleeced the Flames with that deal.
@NaPo7 He brought Montour, Bennett and Reinhart to Florida by trades.
@NaPo7 I wouldn't necessarily say that. he just about sold the farm to go all in last year but I think everyone thought the Panthers were going all the way. didn't work out. as it's looking so far, Zito's winning the Huberdeau-Tkachuk trade.
Hubershit lol
It’s honestly embarrassing being a flames fan not gonna lie
Canucks fan here.
Could be worse lol.
Were you one of the ones screaming Panthers got fleeced?
@@GUTTERWITCH444 I was one of the few that knew that was a good trade for Panthers. We got a younger, tougher top goal scorer that will drop the gloves. Need players like that come playoff time.
@@AnthonyD1986 I'ma Panthers Fan I knew the Chucky trade was gonna be perfect look at his age and his 100 point season he's just a monster in front of the net. I'm enjoying every minute of these flames videos because they was talking nothing but shit during the trade.
@@patrickbaklava7297 amen brutha
Hummm, Tkachuk had 104 points last year, he’s way younger than Huberdeau, and he’s in a more solid offensive team than Huberdeau. So, I’m not surprised at all by Tkachuk this season.
Huberdeau should be better than this though…maybe with another coach…
It’s crazy to think just a year ago people had Huberdeau on the top line for team Canada in the Olympics now I think most people wouldn’t even have him making the roster… just an absolute disaster. Even tho he’s a millionaire I do feel bad for the guy.
feel bad for him?? Lmao he's got life by the balls. People on social media are bashing him for his shitty play. Rightfully so. This guys got millions and life by the balls, and you feel bad for him? That's sad.
As a Florida fan, I always thought we gave way too much for tkachuk. I still feel that way, given the way our season has gone. The trade was bad for both orgs AND Huberdeau, who seems to have just lost all his confidence in the process.
I don’t care about the flames, but I do genuinely hope he finds his old form. Shame for a guy with that much talent to just let it slip away…
Totally agree. Idk if anything can be done because that contract is too much to move. You cant trade him because nobody wants that contract for the player he is now, and the flames don’t have many other options. I get why they signed a contract before the season but cmon, I’m annoyed at this now
There is still room on the Oilers wagon....we won't fault you for feeling like you have to support your home team. Edmonton is still in Alberta after all.
There is still room on the Oilers wagon....we won't fault you for feeling like you have to support your home team. Edmonton is still in Alberta after all.
As a panthers fan, I needed this
It's super common for players to take a full season to adjust to a new team. Especially with how long Huberdeau was in Florida. Next year he will be better, and the year after that better still. I know hockey fans have the attention span of a goldfish, but you'd think after we've seen the same thing a million times we'd eventually learn.
But here we are once again trying to calll a trade/signing a "bust" a few months after it happened.
holy shit someone gets it! he’ll return to form it’s a different system give him time.
Thanks for having common sense I'm a flames fan and I'm not at all worried.
Not to be overshadowed, Weegar is definitely underwhelming.
Brodie 2.0
Offensively I could see the argument, but hes been really good defensively and stepped up well since Tanny keeps getting injured and most recently with Ras.
"Florida completely finessed Calgary on this trade. Traded away one Johnny Gaudreau and got back another (minus the playoff scoring) while losing their best player, scorer, agitator - i.e. their playoff man - I want some of whatever they're smoking up there." - Me, September 12th, 2022.
I called this a month before the season even started. Huberdeau disappeared against the Lightning because they actually checked him and the rest of the league was watching, there was no way that coaches weren't going figure out how to shut him down this year. A pure finesse player can be checked into oblivion, but a grinder with skill like Tkachuk will always find a way to score.
100 %... I was one of the few fans that thought this was a great trade and so far I've been right.
They HAD to trade him though. Didn't he also have a ntc, so they had to accept something.
As a Flames fan, I always liked Tkachuk's skill, but his shitty skating, the giveaway's, the selfishness, and all the other stupid crap he'd pull during and after the play (like poking Jonathan Quick through his goal mask), those are the things I don't miss. Remember, he went to a team whose MO is offense from a Sutter type team, and Huberdeau went from an offensive team to Sutter's team, so Hubie's points will obviously suffer. How did Tkachuk get all those points in Calgary then? Sutter cut his ice time back until he would play on the right side of the puck, and he happened to click with Gaudreau and Lindholm. Notice Tkachuk is only a +16 with 71 pts this year, while last year the three of them were probably around +35 when they reached that point total.
They had no choice but to trade him, and they got what they got, but I just want people to realize that points aren't everything.
Having said that, it'd be nice if the Flames could actually score(which if we still had Tkachuk, he would help in that area), and not lose to teams like Chicago(twice), and Detroit (tonight). That and not being able to win in OT is likely going to cost them a shot at the playoffs this year
@@stanschmenge1965 Tkachuk's +16 is best among his team, so it's a weird take.
He is not the fastest skater, but he is incredible in puck protection, which is very useful.
Giveaways is a product of high risk-high reward approach to the game , and they're not happening in the defensive zone lol.
And I, as a Panthers fan, never noticed any selfishness in his game.
@@scottymascotty8692 lol all you want, I’m just pointing out the flaws in his game. I haven’t watched all Panthers games, but I’ve seen hilights of him taking bad penalties late or in OT that have cost them wins. Both teams are currently outside the playoffs, so we’ll see. Maybe now you’ll start seeing the bad side of his game going forward though;)
it's insane to me that when the trade first broke it was an L for Calgary because people didnt think Hub would resign.....but now looking back it seems like it wouldve actually been better if huberdeau DIDN'T resign
I like Huberdeau like you said, seems like a nice guy but I'd take Tkachuk over him any day. I was one of the only people that thought this was a good trade. Everyone was so upset we lost our top scorer but I saw how he fell flat in the playoffs last season. I'd take a gritty younger goal scorer who isn't afraid to fight over Huberdeau any day.
@NaPo7 Weegar had a bad series vs. Tampa. I think they exposed his weaknesses. You can get by in the regular season when you're playing as many bad teams as good teams, but in the playoffs, when you're playing a good team every night, and the same good team in a series of games over 2 weeks, they can pick your game apart. That's what the Lightnings did with Weegar. Florida knew he was going to demand a big ticket as a UFA, and they knew they didn't want to pay it.
I think people overlooked the pressure a star takes from playing in a Canadian market. Huberdeau played in Florida his whole NHL career and the pressure is low there, the state cares more about football than hockey. So he was comfortable playing without that pressure and he excelled that way. Now here in Canada I think he is a little spooked. I hope he can adjust.
Nah, this is who he is
Hey Johnny, Boston fan here. I can tell you first hand that sometimes it takes a season for a guy to settle in. Foligno looked like an absolute bust last year and he’s been great for us this year, same with ullmark, ok season last year this year best goalie in the nhl.
comparing foligno and hub at this point is just stupid.
yes sir. and that difficulty especially applies to huberdeau
Think you should also note that Eric staal, a player that seemed like a dud for florida cause he didn’t score for first 15+ games, now has the same amount of goals as huberdeau.. as a 4th line center
Watching the Flames play is like pouring acid into your eye, you just know it’s going to hurt.
That's very acidy!!
Hey Johnny, could you make a video about the best/worst trades before the start of this season and how each of them turned out so far? Especially about the most lucrative ones, like in this video about Huberdeau/Tkachuk trade or Johnny Gaudreau trade, Haula/Zacha etc. I think it could be interesting, cheers!
Because Calgary is now a flaming trash can, no worries boys the oilers might still bring the cup to Alberta, we got your backs!
I feel for you Johnny ! As a Leafs fan I’m always complaining about the lack of success on their part. But I sure understand how it must be hair pulling time for Flames fans. I do like Kadri as an addition and he hasn’t missed a beat considering that it took a while to get him signed. I picked the flames to finish high in the standings and I’m surprised at Huberdeau’s lack of inspiring play. Still hoping for a late season push by Calgary though…
There is still room on the Oilers wagon....we won't fault you for feeling like you have to support your home team. Edmonton is still in Alberta after all.
Huberdeau is a good player and will rebound, however the term is just insane, with the speed of todays game 24-32 is really the peak 8 year period in a career with the truly generational players having good years after that. As a long time Panthers fan its rough to see him playing like that but the fact is he is at the top of the crest in these couple of years. I think he'll rebound big time next year after having a whole summer to think through but I don't know if he will be more than 80-100pts again and the last three years of this deal will see a 40-50pt guy I think
Sometimes these things take a season. Just the way it is sometimes, I've been more open to that. Next year will be the year to really judge.
Give an example where it got better after year one
@@joevanbaidwan3196 Small one would be Bobrovsky with the Panthers. Markstrom would be listed, but it looks like the whole team has regressed this season. Laine in Colmbus. Dougie Hamilton on the Devils. Pavelski on the Stars. Dubois on the Jets. Zucc on the Wild. And these are just really recent examples. And yeah, there is an obvious salary difference too of course. But big pieces got switched out and are learning a new system. I'm just saying, it wouldn't surprise me if Hubs picked it up a lot better next year. He may never be a 100 point guy again, but he should be close to point a game.
He should have easily 40-50 more career goals.
This is NOTHING NEW to anyone whos watched him for the last ever.
I was really surprised to see Huberdeau be a 100 point player even once and I think he priced himself too high by doing that and I thought it was smart of Florida to jump ship especially when Tkachuk is the returning player and more than likely going to be the best player out of this trade
Huber deal isn’t doing well this season.
But I’m the game against Detroit, ‘someone had to step up!’
Well, someone did.
Funny story. I’m currently second in a hockey pool. It was an online draft, and I was a little late, arriving in the middle of the first round, where I found out my first pick was Conner McDavid. Not bad for first overall.
I took Ottenger and Freddie Anderson with my next two (double pick)
Later, I grabbed Ville Husso.
First night Anderson and Ottenger each get one goal wins, and the second night, Husso pitches a shutout.
Someone had to step up.
Maybe Husso will flame out Kate in the season, but Detroit’s right up there WITH Buffalo and trying to sneak into the playoffs BECAUSE Husso’s been stepping up during the season!
He’s got a career leading three shutouts this season!!!
Maybe look again at Husso, he had a hell of a game!
Sv% doesn’t seem to be the answer as to why he’s got 18 wins this season! He might get 30!
The trade seemed decent at the time so I have no negative feelings about the trade.
As for what to do now: If Calgary wants to tank for draft picks, then having Huberdeau is actually a good thing. He'll fill up your salary cap and will help you lose enough games to get a good draft pick.
If Calgary doesn't want to tank... then it is still possible to trade Huberdeau. Any player can be traded. I'm still willing to give him at least another season or two before trading him though.
@@napo7866yeah that’s why he said give it a couple years
The Miller contract not lookin so bad compared to this
It’s still and lol
Except Jonathan is a good team mate.
@@TritonGamezYT Except? They are both named Jonathan. Facts only
hahaha yup sounds about right. Man would have an actual empty net and pass the puck, and they would not score leading the game to be tied seconds later. it was actually so bad past seasons and especially last season i still do not know why he never shoots because he has a pretty good shot.
You say you’ve never seen a 10.5 million dollar player who passes up every scoring opportunity for a pass and I can tell you never watch the Leafs. Marner will only shoot if there’s no other option. He even regularly passes on clear cut breakaways.
LOL at loosing to the Red Wings. Meanwhile Oilers have 18 out of 20 of points in last 10 games
Huby will figure it out, the dude got 115 points last season playing mostly with Bennett, and was a perennial 90-point guy, he doesn't just suddenly forget how to play hockey. The honest truth is I think Sutter has it in for him or something, saying that Lindy doesn't want to play with him, or that he was busy taking a sh*t.
They question is, Does Huberdeau not work with Sutter's systems? I mean 3 of the top goal scorers left last season why? Was it Sutter's coaching? I don't know but Huberdeau should be traded and players that work with Sutter should be getting paid. Or we find a different coach.
You hit the nail on the head. A fantastic passer, but.....WHY?!
Gaudreau has 50 points on a dog water team - meanwhile Deaudeau bird has 30+ on a half decent team.. pretty sure CBJ won that trade
Okay so what contract is the worst?
Jeff Skinner
Jonathan Huberdeau
Erik Karrlson
After this year’s playoffs I don’t think it’s even a argument he was being carried by barkov
As a flames fan Tkachuk is my fav player still. Always thought it was sad to see him leave thought he was our new franchise player. But I also thought we had a great return for him with hube weeg 1st draft and young prospect but looks like we lost this one 😢
Still love Tkachuk and Bennett lol love to see them together
To answer your question, he can be fixed, send him back home, to florida
I thought that the Flames massively won that trade the moment Huberdeau signed. Oh god was I wrong.
I do think that signing him to that crazy extension was a mistake however I do think he will rebound whether it's next season or later on this season we all watched him play out his career in Florida he's much better than what he has been for calgary I'm sure he'll turn it around
Adjusting to play under sutter isn't overnight. Hubie would need an off season with a specific regiment to adjust. Same with Kadri cause he fades in games.
We should’ve just shipped them out for a bunch of picks and started the rebuild last offseason. (all this because Gaudreau decided to destroy the team)
Seeing how well the flames are playing without their former two biggest stars and with their new stars performing way under what was expected seems bright for Calgary. After all, we saw what a full summer can do to a struggling Canadian team of the west with no trades.
Worst part of this season is they’re playing well enough to win most games but they keep getting goalied or reffed, should be well on top of the division
They are not.
The team has only put in a handful of full game efforts and is one of the worst 3rd period teams in the league.
They'd be in a playoff spot if Markstrom was right in the head but they're not playing well for more than a period or two most games.
As a Flames fan, I wasn't thinking of Huberdeau as a replacement for Tkachuk, but for Gaudreau. No one is going to replace Tkachuk (except maybe his brother) because his combination of skills is unique. But even Gaudreau is far outstripping Huberdeau while playing for a terrible team. Johnny is still going to get about 80 points this year, playing mostly with AHL guys. I'd be worried about Huberdeau, but wouldn't panic until he puts up another season like this one next year. Then you're in Alexi Yashin with the Islanders territory, both in performance and with that contract.
TRUE OR FALSE: In the last 5 seasons Brad Marchand has more points than Crosby, Mathews, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Giroux, Tavares and many other highly regarded players.
TRUE.
He must be missing the Florida sunshine. Now he’s freezing his a** off over there in Canada 🇨🇦
The truth is that there's a reason that the trade was not 1-for-1. CGY also got Weegar PLUS a 1st rd pick PLUS a prospect. Besides, Huberdeau was supposed to fill the playmaker role of Gaudreau and Kadri the play-on-the-edge scoring winger of Tkachuk. That said, his contract was bound to be an albatross like Zach Parise's $ 98 million Minnesota contract.
It's easy to hit a guy when he's down, but with some patience, he will be better later in the season, and in future seasons. Like they say, "you're never as good or as bad as the headlines say you are". Just look at Karlsson down in San Jose. They said he was all washed up.
I don't know. I'm sure living in the state of Florida is no picnic, but it's probably not so bad when you're rich. Imagine having to move to a place like Calgary, with garbage winters and wannabe Texan cowboys everywhere. I don't think I'd ever adjust if someone forced me to move there.
Most people at the time were saying Calgary won the trade, but nobody was saying Huby was the best player. If Huby was thought to be the best player Florida wouldn't have had to throw in Weegar, Schwindt and a first rounder
Huberdeau doesn't have a trigger guy in Calgary, the closest he has had this season was Lucic. He never liked to score in Florida either. They should really tank for Bedard. someone who isn't afraid to shoot
I wouldn't be worried...but I would do another retool so that yes this start player has players around him that he can work with... I feel like the panthers played more of a conservative style and flames are more energetic...also I think alot of pressure is on him (new club), chemistry not clicking, and yeah new conference new division new coach.... they need to sell high on their defenders now, and I would look into trading Coleman and toffoli and have younger guys get a chance... could use markstrom in a big trade to get a top 6 winger that scores.
I knew he wouldn’t fit in with the Calgary style so in my fantasy league I traded him and Jacob Middleton for Tage Thompson, Alex Paccioretty and Hampus Lindholm.
He absolutely need some professional help to get his confidence back. I'm wondering if he has a sport psychologist who is taking care of him but he needs this without any doubt
Try Hubby at centre like when he started his career. Easier for centremen to drive play & be creative because of more positioning freedom imo.
@NaPo7 So? They don't have to be on the same line.
I don't think many people thought that Huberdeau was better than Tkachuk.. Tkachuk is the full package as a player and he also put up over 100 points while scoring more goals than Huberdeau, playing more physical than Huberdeau, and playing better defensive than Huberdeau so not only was Tkachuk younger but he was also better.. Huberdeau should start turning it around eventually, I've seen a lot of players struggle in their first year on a new team
I didn't know much about Florida and Huberdeau at the time of the trade but they traded a top player five years younger for him and suspected his performance was more dependent on his Florida line mate chemistry and system. To me it was a WTF move right from the start.
There is still room on the Oilers wagon....we won't fault you for feeling like you have to support your home team. Edmonton is still in Alberta after all.
@@jameshalmosi1550 bro the oilers dont make it out the second round in 10 years lmao

Who’s we Kemosabe? 29 year old aberrant career seasons being rewarded with 10$ million contracts is a recipe for disaster. This one makes the JT MIller contract look like a bargain. Tkachuk was always the better part of that trade
Huberdeau is our new Lucic contract. Overpaid 4th liner.
He's like "Nuke" Laloosh or Chuck Knoblauch not finding first base 🤨, he can't pull the trigger, he needs an intervention of sorts!
Suddenly JT Miller's contract doesn't seem so bad 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂

Nah man I think Thursday nights are gonna be the fixed nights in nhl post all star break… seemed that it was Tuesdays for the past month or so leading up to the break. ,flames had like 98% of $ bet on them. Flames, oilers, islanders and kraken all had over 80% $ riding on them and they all lost…
I have no idea what you really expect cause most NHL stars dont produce like Crosby/Malkin/Macar or Kane. Observe your average top NHL top 25 or so, they produce by intervals within each season, and by up/down waves from season to season. Except Crosby or similar player who can produce 90 pts each season for many years, most decent to very good players cannot do that.
Also, you people, you hockey fans, there is no give him time, or give it time: There are ways to divide NHL players with those who produce high points year round, those who produce in big up/down waves, those who produce 50-60 pts season, then peak a 100 pts, than decline, and I could go on. There is really a division or sectors of ways to divide NHL players by observing their seasons and their year round productions.
Last but not least: Our local ex NHL now radio animator, Maxime Lapierre, spoke about NHL guys who sign up with a new team, and stop producing, cause the passion is simply gone, and with the new contract, they arent hungry anymore.
For any flames fan feeling down about this deal, us habs fans are still getting over our deal with Gomez 🤦🏻♂️
Why can't he play with lindholm::I thought 28 was scoring 50goals this year:: was Huberdeau lying?
I think it’s fair to saw the entire team has underperformed this year, so far.
seems to be between the ears (I doubt being coached by Sutter is helping him), also leaving Florida for CGY has to be a huge change... I think this year is a wash for him....
I was really disappointed to see Backlund drive Mo Seider’s head into the boards. Bull shit play, no call of course.
cant wait to hear you talk about what just happened
Dude where are the examples of him passing up scoring chances? Would've been a nice addition to the video to help folks who don't watch the flames
Stupid contract idea signing for so much money and for so long with out even putting on the jersey!
So guy has a super career year last season and you're surprised that he reverted to his usual point totals? I'm not and never was. I knew exactly who Calgary was getting.
If it makes you any happier about huberdeau as a florida panthers fan *cough cough clears throat* Eric staal has as many goals as huberdeau does this year after tonight. This is in fact not supposed to make you happy but rather to make you disappointed
He's getting a double paycheck. Betteman is paying him to lose games.
Huberdeau has never been able to deal with heavy physical action against him. He would rather give the puck away than take a hit to make a play. That is one of the reasons why Florida tanked last year in the playoffs!
There is still room on the Oilers wagon....we won't fault you for feeling like you have to support your home team. Edmonton is still in Alberta after all.
I was mad about the miller deal but shiiiiiii hubyyyy deal looks 100% worser should’ve dealt him at the deadline instead of giving a monster deal without even seeing him in the line up
Yeah, he's a chronic passer. I didn't think he would flop like this, but the way he played in the playoffs last year was concerning. Way too soft and unable to create anything. He had 5 points (1 goal) in 10 games and was mostly invisible. That's why I thought Tkachuk might be an upgrade overall for the Panthers. But no, I did not see this coming.
i feel like marner and hube are very similar in attitude, when they shoot the puck they can drive points up the board like its nothing, but once they stop shooting they become a predictable and one dimensional threat. When they have confidence in their game, they shoot enough, and when they shoot it allows their playmaking ability to thrive because they pull the defenders to them. the elite players can do multiple things that makes them unpredictable with ovechkin being the most one dimensional offence in my opinion (even though hes a much more physical player than most goal scorers). If hube can find his shot, like marner just did this past year, they will get a lot better!
Matt Barzal is like that with the Islanders. Now he has someone to pass to, so that should bring improved results.
I really wish Calgary would either start playing better or actually lose properly for once lol. I swear we've been mediocre for 30 years, never bad enough to finish bottom 10 but never good enough to make it far in the playoffs
Sutter has him focused on defense......totally different vibe for him..
I'm just glad I'm not a Calgary fan that trade was so lopslided
Artemi Panarin said "hold my Vodka"
I bet u huberdeau lights it up next year. How often to great players have down years while readjusting. Not coming from a flames fan either guy is too talented to keep regressing imo.
Flames better go on a tear or season is a wash. Good thing they are gonna pay millions for 10 goals👎. Still cheer flames 🔥🔥 though I would rather be rock bottom then an extreme underachiever
Thank you!
Huberdeau has always passed up chances to score for passes that make no sense. Had an anomaly of a season last year.
He did have another season with 90+ points, so last season wasn't outrageously out of his previous performance.
Calgary and Vancouver screwed up so bad lol maybe they should trade with each other. You take JT we will take Jonathan.
im an Oilers fan but Flames playing Lucic more than their skilled kids and leaving Wolf in the AHL (who imo is as good and maybe better than Skinner) is pissing me off, Sutter and the GM need to be fired but at least flames will miss the playoffs so i get to laugh
yea according to them, just to proof it they force play lucic on the powerplay even though he's trash
Wolf IS better than Skinner.
I think you’re blowing this out of proportion Calgary is not the team Florida was last year and Hubie no matter how you see it is a player used to having another player like barkov for example that can help out is 10.5 too much for a guy that can’t drive the offence himself? Probably but the guy was plucked out of his perfect situation and plopped in Calgary where all their stars left or got traded basically outside of their “star” goalie who’s looked far from a star so far this year. Every star has a player that makes them better Ovi has had a elite passer through his career Crosby has Malkin, McDavid has Draisaitl I’d imagine there’s examples in previous eras as well that I don’t quite know off the top of my head but the chemistry those players have (same chemistry I imagine Hubie had with Barkov) can’t just be taken and replicated with new players right away and can imagine it’s okay to assume it could take multiple years especially when said players are nothing like what he’s used to playing with.
Bro turned into Ben Simmons
Funny listening to UA-camr saying that Huberdeau has taken to long to get going? Stay in your lane and leave the hockey to the professionals
I hope you run into Huby on the steer Johnny and you could ask him yourself. Face to face 😊
