Today was such a day and man am I grateful to have great friend in Joe. This ride was much needed amidst the stress of the van purchase!
I hope you guys enjoy getting back in the dirt as much as I did!
LFRHGS!
Alexander
Thanks for some sweet riding in the sun, swedish winter just wont let go😁🌨️
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your channel! You got me so stoked about Mountain Biking I now have gone out and bought my own. I can't wait to take it to a trail soon! Keep doing what you're doing it's a huge inspiration to a lot of people to see you really enjoying what you do and getting excited every time! Live free, ride hard and get stoked!
That was such a perfect day for riding. Heck, that would have been a great day to just hang out at the end of the 3rd finger. Mid 70s temp, cool breeze, not a cloud in the sky.... Hard to believe we were there in the middle of such a beautiful day and only came across 3 or 4 people riding the trails.
Mr Tonka , we already have too many visitors already. Don’t give them anymore incentives. LOL
I mean, i barely made it out of there alive. In fact, i lost a couple of toes to a gator.... yeah. That's the ticket! :D
Dang dude, I use to ride Carter twice a month. One of my favorites in FL!
Update: watched with sound, 1000% better, love the commentary and glad to see you back up and riding!
When I rode the Carter Road Trails 9 years ago on a rigid singlespeed I was in over my head. Looking back, that trip was a turning point for my life and was the beginning of something great. It's great seeing those trails again.
Great way to start the day! This was such a fun spot and the sweet bonus of gators!
BKXC you need to come down to Florida and ride some XC. Give up all that down hill stuff for a bit.
Do you noticed that Alex sees way more animals then you, and you are the one who wants to see them. 😁
Brian your first time seeing an alligator was with Alex on redemption 17’ 😂😂😂 i was hoping to find a comment from you!
Mulberry FL, My local trails. I ride there at least once a week!!!
that place is fun!
Fun vid, good things happen when you get out. Rooting for you to hit 100k+ subs, you deserve it bro and have earned it.
When I was much younger, like 1998, this was my go-to ride location back in college @ USF, GO BULLS! Does any here remember the GRAN CANYON in Brooksville? I went to so many races there and saw so many gnarly wrecks, that place was insane for 1992-94.
I think i rode there once. There was a moto track at the entrance, right?
I don't remember that but, I was only there for MTB races. There were many races there back in the 90's, it was private property and the owners were always worried about injury and insurance. Do you remember the awesome trails at Reddick?
Maybe it was Reddick that i only rode once. I remember riding some sick trails up in that area a LONG time ago. But again, only once. Up until July last year i had only ridden off road trails a hand full of times.
Great video. Glad he convinced you to ride. Nothing like an extra finger. 😜
I love that park. It's pretty serious so I hope your shoulder felt okay afterward. Don't check out the flora and fauna... It's dangerous there are gators down there! Lol
I ride for the sane reason....get out of my head. Thanks for sharing such am awesome video.
HA! I'll try to leave the wildlife checkup to Joe :P I think it turned out well as my shoulder didn't bother me afterwards and I had a ton of fun! I see what you did there.... "sane reason" :D
I'm a friend of the plants.... they call to me.
Wow, man that is a beautiful place. I'd love to ride there!
Great to have buddies that bring up the best in us in life. Happy Trails!
Great to see you back on the trails, it's getting me stoked for my first ride after a cracked rib tomorrow.
GET IT dude!!!
Your comment about being a different person on the bike is so true. I live in my head until I grip those handlebars! Never really realised that until you said it aloud! Kudos man.
Good to have friends that know how to get us out there and challenge us mentally and physically, especially ones that know when we need it. Great job Mr Tonka.
As I await the 4th snowstorm in a month here in the Hudson Valley of NY, watching that was very enjoyable.
I moved from Hudson Valley down here to FL!
Here in eastern Pa cant wait until spring!
Lughnerson this snow is annoying the shit out of me here in NY. Just when it dries up, another snowstorm.
I life in germany.
😂
It’s awesome to see you out there riding trails I learned to ride on! Our trail crews work so hard on these, and it’s nice to see these trails appreciated! Huck ya!!
To you and the guys that maintain these, thank you, even though I dont own a bike, I consider this my favorite trails for sprints and conditioning. I fell in love with these since the first time I was brought here by a friend. Thank you guys again!!!🙋♂️
Nonsense. I like hearing you talk in your videos. It’s get me pumped and makes me want to go to cool places and ride. If you ever get tired of Mountain Biking, motivational speaking would be your thing.
You aced the middle finger. Amazing to see those alligators! Those trails are crazy.
This trail system looks like a video game I'd lose many lives on.
Kevin McCalister I was thinking the same dude
WE ARE WITH YOU do everty thing you want the stuff your doing is on all you
wish you rhe best with the van
Good to see you out on the trails dude! Oh man, that is an area where you do NOT want to fall off the trail haha
Funny that now i'm looking at distance the edge of the trail is to the water or a drop into the water, i'm really seeing how close it actually is. lol
Keep the mind and body at ease my man and shred on! For it's the rides and videos that supply the stoke! The rest will fall into place. 🍻🤘
Alex, thnx for posting this one. Carter Rd. is one of my favorite places to ride and I don't live in FL anymore so it was nice to see you hit these trails! I miss that place!
That place has the goods. Tech, flow, exposure, and TONS of fun!
Wow, those trails are "other worldly"!! Cool video. Thanks for posting!!
I am that friend hAha I don’t let friends make excuses pa weather sucks so if it’s a nice day and I know yours available we’re riding! Stay stoked God Bless 😎🤘🏼
So happy to see you riding! Just purchased my new bike and waiting for the snow to melt up north.
"We got a bonus finger" is a phrase I do not need to hear on a regular basis. ;)
Glad you were able to get a good ride in with a buddy. Best of times.
LOLOLOL
Especially during a prostate exam. hahaha
And then Alex yells out, "That was so tight!"
Just going out for a ride for fun is so good for the soul. Hope you heal up and keep having fun on the bike!
Awesome, I got to see the early release on Patreon!! This another treat for everyone to see!! Great Stuff... Live-Life-Loud, Brother!!!
Keep riding, Alex! Nice to see you on the bike.
As an aging man I gotta admit that I always feel better both physically and mentally AFTER I have had a ride. My ride mate that MAKES me get out sometimes is my wife. Bless her, sometimes when I am hanging around to be with her or just not feeling the motivation... she won’t take “no” for an answer and makes me grind out a few miles.
DON'T EVER LET HER GO!
Awesome video Alex! That's how you can tell your good friends. Hang in there and the van will work itself out. Hope to see you on a trail soon!
Thanks Anthony 👊
Great trails! Kudos to the builders down there!
Great looking trails!! Nice evening 'virtual' ride.
Mr. Tonka seems like a good dude. Sweet bikeys too.
Its good to have good friends that will get you out. Keep it Up Alex.
Been in the water there a couple times. You tend to get out quick!!
Still loving those “Yeaaaaaa” ‘s
Glad to see the riding video back. Keep it up.
I didn't realize you rode bikes...im just here for the van. Just kidding haha im stoked that you're stoked!
Trail system I started riding on. GREAT TRAIL System!!!
Can't wait to get over there this summer. Looks epic! Nice one man.
Cool trail! Thanks for the stoke! I know that I would never want to live in Florida because it's so flat, but if you were to live there having Trails like this would certainly make it much more enticing!
I bet an alligator across the trail would be a great opportunity to use your new bunny hop skills!
yeah mountain biking is awesome. same thing with snowboarding for me. just focus on the ride and don't think about anything else.
Hey Alex..... so great to see you back on the bike where you belong..... take it easy Bud .. Greetings from South Africa !
Thanks Craig!! Great to be back on the bike and out filming trails. It's where I belong indeed!
Glad to see you out riding again bro. Ride, get stoked and feel the zen.
Thanks Chris, it felt damn good to be riding !
Glad to see you back homie🤘 best of luck with the van search
Good to see you back.
Tonka almost became Gator food, twice! Anyway, you keep riding Alex will keep backing you, brother.
It's inspired me to develop an energy bar for riding. :) Tasty Tonka Treats
Awesome trails there, love the added challenge of not becoming gator food, keep up the great videos and good luck with the van.
Cheers form Australia.
Always good the second time around...great ridin'.
I'm glad you posted this. I live a quarter of a mile from there and I now know I no longer want to ride this trail.
Howdy from England! Great to see you out riding again (Phil Kmetz just posted his first ride in a while too). Sorry if I am behind the (news) curve, but do you have a new bike? Where's the pumpkin - what happened to it?
I still have the pumpkin, but the brakes need some work, so I had been riding the DB 5C, but now that has an issue with the shock!!
Dude, I'm the same way when it comes to living in my head riding helps sooo much love it
Sick new vid, good luck with the van purchase.
Sweet ride brother.... nice bike as well... 👍
As far as trails with consequences go, that one has to be up there!
Excited to see you back brah!
Thanks Matt :D
Definitely can relate with the spending time in your head thing, riding bikes helps but unfortunately I don’t have anyone to ride with so I’m still in my head while I ride haha it’s still fun tho. Sweet vid brooooo
that trail system is sooooo cooool!
That place has some crazy terrain!
Such an unusual trail. Good luck with the van man.
A, great vid! Spanish moss and alligators. YO! Epic trail system.
Hell Man, your in my back yard when I'm home!
Im waiting to get my bike out and ride... Becouse it is 80cm or more with snow outside...!! Good thing you are doing the riding for me! LFRHGS 🖖
You have got to love Florida!
Always a good time!
Great looking trails
Nice ride guys. Reminds me of Townsville here in Oz! We have Crocs there!
My Home Trails! Some great trails at carter road... Actually in Mulberry not Bartow but rad!
"Come for a ride, I will let you ride the Yeti." I think that would motivate anyone to get out on the bike
You'll soon hit the 100k subscriber count! 👌👌
SO STOKED!!
Another good video. Only ridden this place once and it was super fun!!!
Yea man I was really surprised at how fun it was!!
This video was my 4th time and it gets more fun each time! The more familiar you are with it the more you can lay off the brake and turn the pedals. :)
Great to have a ride video again!!. Though the stretches you showed seriously made my last ride better (or it was a mental thing, either way it seemed awesome haha)
DUDE! I'm so stoked to hear that and happy you are trying them out :D
I caught Lyme disease from a bush on a baby XC trail. This is after a year of riding free ride trails. It’s the small dangers that get you.
Everyone needs a friend like Joe... Carter rd park, the trails that made me love MTB... Finger #2 was my challenge, it sketched me out on that drop... Back when that drop was nothing but steep dirt.... And that was a small gator... Lol, u guys were close to lake parker, there u may see some bigger gators.... Its the most gator infested lake in central Florida, and my old jet ski spot.. Lol
Yeah, that drop on #2 wasn't even there last July. I rode Carter for the second time about a month ago and that one took me by surprise. I thought it was just a roll and i didn't have my saddle down. Made it, but it was less than comfortable with my saddle all they way up. haha
Double exposure and if You roll in, You'll end up gator lunch🤣. Nice video & trail! I also like to mtb and cross country in nature! Moving meditation. Cheers from Norway😃🐣
keep up the good work alex.
You should come back again. A ton more has been done in the last year an a half. Great to see our trails getting some footy!
Holy cow, the more I watch, the more I see has been done in the short time. Tree line is gone. Jump lines are added. More wall rides. A few doubles. YOUR MOM!! You really need to come back. Hit up Ridge Riders on Facebook.
I love Carder Road!!
Also I was riding at Snowhill Trail in central Florida and I saw like 9 gators one of them had a dead deer in it's gaws just swimming down the river. Only In Florida.
Dang!! That's a cool sighting!
Your video footage is mad sick!
that looked like a sweet place guys!
Beautiful place!
Those trails look like a lot of fun, even the involuntary gator wrestling!
I feel you on the heady thing bro, riding really helps me take a break, just sucks that winter can be the worst time, for spending too much time thinking and zero time riding.
Thank God spring is here now though!
Good luck finding a van by the way, I hope that you find a quality vehicle at a good price, that meets your needs. Good things come to those that wait it out though, right? :D
Great video! Mountain biking, sure seems like there's always has to be some sort of impending doom LOL!
hahaha you talking about the alligators or the cliff on both sides?
Yeah cuz in mountain biking a cliff just isn't enough... may as well add man eating alligators to the equation lol!
Cool tropical like trail!!
Talk about the floor is lava.....Fall over either side and fall into gator filled waters... nope nope nope, I'll stick to running from bears. Glad to see you on the bike again.
So fn beautiful!! Thx Alex!
Gloves are sick dude. Some 70s Retro.
Check out HandUp Gloves if you like them man, there's a whole bunch more similar styles and I dig the overall quality
Its been a while since i have been to carter road trails. Need to get over there soon.
Wow.. this place is so interesting! I've never seen anything like it!
That's what I was sayin'! couldn't believe I had never been; all around just a super pretty place to ride in the sun during the dead of winter!
I clicked for the gators but got the finger!
What an amazing looking place, those alligators tho!!! Maybe you locals are used to it but it would scare the crap out of me riding techy stuff like that knowing those things are everywhere!
Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous after seeing that massive one down there!
I used to warn people about sharp turns or steep climbs with nothing but swamp on one side, but i quickly learned that tends to have a negative impact on that section of trail. I definitely don't tell them that the water is about 20' deep right off the edge of the trail. i.e. fall off and lose your bike forever. haha
That berm after 2:55 is so sickkkkkkkk
AYYYY another Video
ayyyyyy videos
Yup i relate 100%
The people that built that trail have definitely maximized the potential of the terrain.
Wooooooow. Gaitorrs. Amazing
