    Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Labo fan boy. I tried Idrosave on my black bmw and noticed on a panel that was in the sun that it dried very quick with lots of polymer spots. I resprayed with more solution and had to wipe them with a little more pressure than I'm used to with other rinseless products. The product worked great on a cool panel with no spotting really. This needs to be discussed for sure.

    • @Ecdetails
      @Ecdetails  7 місяців тому

      I got questions - did you pre spray the whole car ?

    • @Ecdetails
      @Ecdetails  7 місяців тому +1

      I notice everyone who is presprayimg the whole car it’s drying - it’s a polymer protection it’s leaving behind , like wilfgang old onr , and mckees sio2 Reggy said they suggesting one side of the car or panel by panel which is what I always do so I never experience spotting , last time I pre sprayed a whole was mckees when they first came out and I got so much water spots I had to use water spot remover that time going forward I do one side at a time fyi

    • @masanta
      @masanta 7 місяців тому +1

      @Ecdetails I'm not a Rinseless amateur bro. I only sprayed the trunk and the back bumper and went to get my wash media maybe 1 min if that and it was dry with polymer spots. I'm going to record next time for proof. Just to elaborate, my car was in the garage and only my trunk and back bumper were in the sun so the panels were warmer than other panels I did that were not in direct sunlight

    • @Ecdetails

      @@masanta you are now haha - no Biggie bro just switch it up so the stuff in the sun panel by panel like soc does and the rest spray and go section by section
      Legal protection so think of it like spraying Cupido , ceramic gloss and leaving it in the sun what results do you get ?

    • @masanta
      @masanta 7 місяців тому +1

      I didn't have to use water spot remover or get crazy with it, just took a little more effort than I'm used to with a rinseless. I have been using DIY rinseless a lot so it could be just a difference between products where some are more forgiving based on the chemical makeup of the product

    What up EC…thank you for the tips on using the Idrosave. Applying panel by panel is the way to go. I used it recently for the first time and was doing larger areas as I would with absolute. It was a little breezy out; the Polymers dried quick. Felt a little drag while drying so I hit it with my sprayer of rinseless. All in all good product. Need more time with it. My first thought after I was done with the wash, was that Absolute was Easier to work with…def noticed a ton of gloss tho. Unfortunately, it rained the next day. So the day after, I wiped it down with Maniacs waterless wash. I have to say I don’t know if it’s the waterless or both maniac and labo stacked. The gloss is insane. It’s been a week since I used the waterless wash and I still have an insane mirror finish. I’m doing double takes looking back at my truck. Thanks again Eddie!!

    If you are having water spotting issues with Idrosave,
    try working one panel at a time -
    rinse off the panel you are on, first with just DI water
    have idrosave mixed 200:1 or 256:1) in a bucket
    apply Idrosave to the wet panel using a clean sponge or MF towel , then immediately dry the panel with a clean drying towel.
    If you do this you will have no water spotting or streaking issues.

    Im a little confused .... On their website they call it a blend of polymers and surfactants....would that not make this a hybrid rinseless like DIY or Mckees? Is it a polymer rinseless because it leaves nanosealant behind and a hybrid rinseless leaves nothing? Sorry new to this and trying to cut to the point and not get lost in all the marketing hype/wording. Thanks.

      It’s a surfactants could be used in a polymer as th wetting agent this is an actual polymer based rinseless like opti coat instead of gloss enhancing this leaves behind a polymer sealant

    Great product. I personally compared this with DIY. Both are quite excellent. Idrosave has heavy polymers and CERTAINLY adds significant gloss and retains incredible slickness. It is very strong and personally would not go higher than 256-1, as i could see polymer smudging on black paint in some light. That being said, any smudges wiped easy, at times adding a tiny spritz of product. I would not use this in any part of a detail where you will be polishing. It addresses the few weaknesses Absolute had, IE, clumping, stirring, not shaking the product, and has slightly better cleaning power, with a notch better gloss and slickness. All of above being said, DIY Rinseless, due to its surfactant focus, breaks dirt down more effectively, draws it off wash media and to the bottom of the bucket better, and can be used if you are polishing in various capacities. I do think DIY cleans slightly better while adding less to the panel.

      So I’m very curious how it this new Rinseless compares.
      Perhaps you can try comparing these Rinseless washes to see how they handle dirty panels by 1) pre-treating, 2) let dwell for a little bit. Maybe 2-3 minutes. 3) then rinsing. Then compare it to a control with just water. Does the dirt remain?
      Someone on UA-cam the other day did this very comparison using just p&s absolute Rinseless and there was no difference vs. plain water :(
      Neither pre-treat broke down any of the dirt. Was the same as plain water.

    Got my order, tried this today. Used their recommended dilution of 200:1, with microfiber towels (never being dipped back into the bucket). One thing I noticed: if you pretreat the whole car (I used the same dilution for this), instead of going panel-by-panel, it's gonna spot. Bad. I needed water spot remover to fix it. Never had this with other rinseless I've tried (Absolute, DIY, Chemical Guys). Also, the windows were left streaked, with a ton of film. Had to go over again with a glass cleaner. I'm gonna try it again, with a lighter dilution, and I'm gonna work panel-by-panel, and see if those changes help. If not, in the trash it will go.

      A liter (33.8oz) of this product is $26.95 on the website and 32oz of ONR is $18.56. If you break down the gallon (ONR) and the Labocosmetica 4.5l to ounces the ONR comes in at .26 cents per ounce and the Labocosmetica product comes in at .41 cents per ounce. Huge price difference but the Labocosmetica product claims to leave “a self-cleaning, protective layer on bodywork that limits build-up of dust and dirt and keeps the vehicle clean for longer.” If this is true and I can skip a sealant on basic details that would make up the difference for me.
