So if any body is trying to get this H- Brace from Megan Racing... They are out of Stock and their next shipment they say will be just before the end of the year. How do I know this... Well Megan Racing is here in Southern California just a few miles from where I work, and I went there personally.

Finally, the toaster's back in action! I was getting blue ----s waiting for my xb fix. I will be looking for that brace. The squirrels will have something to hold on to when you run over them. lol.
Heck yeah man, this is sick! Xb's are made to stand out and be fun. I remember taking a nice long drive to local mountains with my girl the weekend I got the 06 box and she said it felt like a go kart! This is sick, 50 bills and four bolts is a steal for any upgrade big or small. Cool stuff bro, looking forward to some lude content next week. Cheers XDD nation!!

I've only known about your channel for about a month, but the xB vidoes are all great! I bought it new and it's been super reliable. For repairs, the hood latch has broken in the cold ($6), and 2 weeks ago I replaced the power door lock actuator ($13), and the muffler rusted out a couple of years ago and that's it.
I've always driven mine hard because it's so fun to drive, so this looks like a nice upgrade as well as the sway bar.

I put one on , w the addition of sway bars front n rear, front strut bar, bbs 17”, McPherson suspension. Still slow but corners great. Now I want to add a rear disc brake conversion.

Man just the fact you mentioned that many of these upgrades parts for XB’s may not be available in the future, I’m going to start buying them to eventually upgrade my 2004 box.

I’m a big fan of your videos! I really regret selling my 1st Gen. It was a release series 2.0 with a lot of upgrades with only 83k miles. Hoping to get another one soon!
Just copped that same brace for $85. Beginning to custom my XB. Next is buying PROGRESS brackets so it will all be full supension under front to back. After then it’s intake, axleback & coilovers.

I have this as well on the DEATHbX and can definitely feel a difference. I have both TRD strut & rear brace along with a rear shock tower brace from Cusco that I got from the Netherlands. ITS TIME TO GUT THE XB 💀📦🔥👀

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers you'll feel even more of a difference removing the rear seats. I haul my drums so rear is gone, try it sometime 😉

I own one myself. Only has 87k on it. It's the 2006 with the 5spd. I love it, great on gas. I'm definitely going to get that piece off Amazon as my car is completely stock, minus the rain guards I put on. Also threw some LEDs on and got the light kit to install fog lights. What else do you recommend I do to the car?? Budget is fairly open, not rich, but not poor. Was thinking of putting a cold air intake on it but not sure if it's worth it. Let me know if you have the time.

Can't watch these any more, it hurts too much. I had an 06 xb I was working on and somebody crashed into while it was parked in front of my house! I don't have enough money to get a new car so now I go nowhere.
I feel the pain trust my 2006 XB was hit on the passenger rear quarter panel and bumper and the guy ran off on me. But at 300,2500 miles it still going strong 💪🏽

awww, nice! I beat mine so much too, hahahah I have complete stock suspension, except wide 15x8 inch sport tire... Serious, I beat it to scream tire and more (I guess you discrete for viewers (and trafic)... the control on this care is very good). (I did racing and car track event, and... bought an Xb for... normal driving but... found me to beat it to limit and push more and more, it take it! wow! ;) ) (here is canada with winter, bump, pot hole... I need keep stock as I can)
I got the Tanabe and Hotchkiss under i also got the scion xA underbracr for later future modification to the trailing arms to the center of the car

I got a RS 3.0 and I've been looking into doing some upgrades. Can't find the strut bar, but this should be fun!

I think it does help a tone i speed all the time and just with a front strut bar. The handling was so much better and. It helped with the wind. Plan on adding the rear sway. But i cant find the rear strut bar ones.
I used to think that the front strut bar didn't do much.......until I briefly removed it. OMG! I won't drive a car without one.

That's interesting, ultra racing makes suspension and strut bars parts for the 07-09 Camry and there's a Rear window louver support for the 6th Generation Camry. Plus a lip kit all around, Side skirts and a Rear lip kit that looks VIP. I got so much more mods I need to buy and install on my Camry, it's nowhere near completed.

Fun video! I did this mod cuz one of the 2 cheap crimped struts on mine had snapped. How did you mount it? I had difficulty finding washers that were strong enough for the bolt holes.

How do you know if the 2 "cheesy" bars that the factory did (as you say)....was truly cheesy...OR....was exactly what was needed and no more? To say that the new unit "definately does something" without numerical differences being tested and noted....is simply guess-work and a placebo affect.
You sound like an engineer or someone who works with numbers. If so, then you would know that there is definitely more strength and rigidity in the Megan Racing brace vs. the stock, two-piece design of stamped steal tubing. Also, take in consideration my xB is far from stock. Better suspension, more horsepower, better tires than a stock xB comes with. My xB was not driven or built for what the xB designers original built the car for. In conclusion, the stock bars are fine, if you car is stock. If you car is heavily modified, they can be improved. So the point I made in the video is correct. Thanks for watching.

CorSport has them for $85 in stock right now. Not sure for how long though.
I had a bad experience with CorSport. I won't order anything from them again.
I bottom out on speed bumps already. I'm afraid to get that because it lowers it another 3/4". I'd high center at Costco. I have heard many take them back off because of that.
Sounds like you need to stop shopping at Costco.

In June, 2021, there are two of those H braces for sale on eBay. One is $ 79.95 and the other identical unit is $ 800.00??? WTF? I see there's a ladder brace listed for $ 430. Well that makes up my mind about buying a local Scion xB. NO WAY when cheap little simple parts can vary that much in price. I'll stick with more common cars that aren't a trend and parts are cheap.
It's all about supply and demand. No one is going to buy a brace for more than $99. You can list anything you want on ebay for whatever price you want. It doesn't mean it's going to sell. Whatever "common" car you decide on will never be as inexpensive as an xB to maintain. These cars go forever. Mine almost has 300k. Thanks for watching.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers Dammit, now you've got me thinking about the Scion again. I do LIKE that square design. I'm 77 years old and don't like trying to bend my neck in half to enter some of these aerodynamic cars. Then again, I'm not too keen on that poor side crash rating. But, then again, 99% of my driving is around the city at 30 mph so even a Scion should be able to protect me pretty well at that speed. After all, it IS a Toyota. Thanks a lot (sarcasm) now I'll probably buy the damn Scion cause I don't think my minivan will legally pass inspection with the frame rot. UPDATE - I don't believe it. That Scion is GONE. It was listed in Craig's List for ONE day and now it's gone. I've never seen a vehicle I've been interested in get sold so quickly.
As gas prices continue to go up these cars will continue to go up in value. The xB is so easy to get in and out of it's the perfect car for seniors. Poor side crash testing???? Don't crash it!!!

From what I understand, these motors are not built for speed at all. Best thing I have heard is shoehorning an xd 1.8 in it

I have a bB rhd JDM, identical to Scion xB except steering on the right. Love it. But I live on a very rutted country road and the air dam (valance) just clears the high points. I wonder if this mod will lower clearance beyond that. Anyone? I don't wanna be scraping.
You will be scraping. It sits lower than the front lip.

I guess the price I pay for living in a nice country location is I cannot have a wicked slammed ride. Can you suggest an effective non-scraping suspension mod to improve handling?
