- I talk about my experience with housing as someone who lived off campus in apartments/ townhouses in San Francisco and Daly City as an SFSU student.
During my last semester in college, I moved back home to the East Bay and commuted. If you want to hear more about living in SF vs living back home, give this video a thumbs up.

I once was talking on the phone outside of the building and I got yelled at by an old man who was in the third or fourth floor. I guess the sound echoes. 😂 I didn't live there, I was a commuter. Still it threw me off.

Hello. My daughter will be attending sfsu in the fall, do you recommend she get a bike to get around campus or outside of campus?
The campus isn't as big as a lot of other universities, so it's not really a necessity. She should be fine getting around without it, but it might be nice to just have sometimes. I've seen people skateboard/roller skate on campus a lot
Also, how is the areas surrounding the school? Safe? Unsafe? Are there any sores or restaurants near the campus?
@@beecee7488 There's a mall right down the street from campus with many restaurants, Target, Trader Joes, etc. And muni is very accessible to take you anywhere you don't want to walk. It's as safe as you'd expect any other major cities to be. You have to use your discretion, but I've never felt particularly unsafe, if that makes sense.

It depends on what you are prioritizing. If it's convenience, I would suggest Parkmerced. If it's cost, I'd say looking into Daly City apartments. If you want to get a more SF vibe, I'd say look into the Sunset area. The earlier you start your search, the better.

This is pure cap. The majority people that live in park merced already went to university somewhere and were business owners or managers the average property owner is 50.
Thank you for your input on things that were relevant from when I lived there almost 7yrs ago. I'm sure things have changed since then
