Thanks to Topping for paying attention to the budget part of the market. And thanks to Alexander for an excellent review of a good device. Looks like a good buy.
I love this channel so relaxing to watch and informative, You deserve much more views! I was looking for best budget around $100 portable dac or dongle I aim for great deep and full soundstage I need more natural bright in my headset and iem, not warm sound, Can you recommend me some? There is many choices in the market in 2023
You're welcome! There is no switch between RCA and headphones. The RCA output is a fixed line-out (volume knob has no control over it) and it's always on.
I'm looking to get DX1 for my PC at work... I would like to use it mainly as DAC (in order to clean/enhance the USB signal), but also as IEM amp for my planar S12 Pro IEMs. Do you think that DX1 will drive them well?
Some people say that the DX1 sound is harsh/sibilant and I'm particulary sensitive to sibilance. I was planning on getting the D10S instead for around the same price. What do you think?
I have both. To my ears D10s is more sharp and clean sounding. But D10s is a standalone DAC and it doesn't have headphone amplifier built-in. Which means that you will need to get an AMP in addition to it if you plan to use D10s with headphones.
@@kinemosstech Oh! I'm gonna buy that DX1 then. The MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi motherboard that I just upgraded to has terrible/ear-piercing audio, and I was looking for a decent budget external audio device to plug my headphones into. Thanks a lot.
can this drive the hd600 and the he400se? also may i ask how do you use the high and low gain ? If you flip the switch to high gain. Both the 3.5mm port and the 6.35mm port both become high gain? This is my first dac amp.
Hi! It had enough power to drive my HD6XX, DT1770 and Sundara in high-gain mode and I also recall from my memory, my HE400SE was fine too. But I usually listen on low to medium volumes, so you mileage may vary. When you flip the switch, both 3.5mm and 6.35mm become high gain as they run in parallel.
No. In high-gain mode, both outputs deliver the same high-gain power. In low-gain mode, both outputs deliver the same low-gain power. There is no difference in power between outputs in any selected mode. Hope this helps.
@@kinemosstech ohh I see. Is there any channel imbalance? And do you think the hd600 , hd58x and he400se pair with it well? I saw someone commented that the dac amp make it piercing or something. Just wondering 🤔🤔
Loud is a very subjective thing. I just tested it with my HE400se and while DX1 has enough power to reach my preferred level of volume, I still feel that DX1 is a bit short in power for this pair.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it!
Received my silver DX1 today, it's a beauty! 😊
Congratulations! Now it's time to enjoy the music! 😊
Should I go for this one, FiiO K11, or iFi Zen Air DAC?
This one

I'm getting this in India. Will it be good for DT770 80 Ohm? Thanks. ♥️
Thank you for the review 👍How do you switch from RCA to Headphones ? with the knob or do you have to unplug the headphones ?

@@kinemosstech OMG really.. it would have been perfect.. Thank you
How does this compare to e30 ii lite
Very helpful. Thanks
Glad you found it useful!
which one would you recommend dx1 or uno or K3 ?

I don't have S12 Pro at hand at the moment, but looking at it's specs, DX1 will drive them just fine.
Which of these would be better? TOPPING DX3 or CREATIVE G6X?
If you need microphone input then G6. Solely for music listening, I would choose DX1 over G6.

Ничего там резкого и свистящего нет. Но выходная мощность конечно мала.
I don't know if you've tested this but will it support the microphone if I connect a headset like the PC38X?
Hello! As far as I know DX1 doesn't have a mic input, so it won't support the headsets.
is this has more outpower power than tempotec sonata hd pro?
for your ear, is it better sounding than moondrop dawn 4.4 (for iem exclusively) ? thanks
To my ears Dawn 4.4 sounds more sterile and sharp.

Topping DX1 best sound in the range $100👌
Glad you found your end-game 👌
Please compare this to the ifi uno
I will when I have a chance. Thanks for watching!
♥
Better than ifi uno?
I would say it's just different. DX1 also doesn't have MQA support, but it's slightly more powerful and has two headphone outputs.
Nice… I love affordable
Better than the motu m2?
Have both. In terms of DAC capability and headphones amplifier DX1 is better.
can this drive loud for planar headphone like Hifiman HE400se
Loud is a very subjective thing. I just tested it with my HE400se and while DX1 has enough power to reach my preferred level of volume, I still feel that DX1 is a bit short in power for this pair.
Fiio k7 will drive the HE400se very loud.
vs fiio k3s
It really depends if you need additional power or not, as DX1 is almost two times more powerful than K3.
